I love how CDPR gave a single DLC quest an entire hugely detailed and fleshed out Fairytale zone. This is on top of the other massive Toussaint map with some of the most memorable new quests. Such a bargain for 20 quid.

Ah this makes sense. I was wondering how the loading between fairy tale land and Toussaint was so short. Turns out it was basically a fast travel to another spot on the map. When you travel with Avallach around the dimensions, the loading screen is about as long as if you're traveling to another continent in the game.
Well thing in Witcher 3 is, when you go somewhere, the whole map is loading. For a obvious, simple reason -> you can get to situation where you will see kilometres far and it would look bad if it wasn't loaded. On the other hand, both fairy tale land and Avallach "other worlds" traveling were made really well using this system, it's almost unbeliavable. Didn't actually notice any visual hint of all the worlds being one big map, yet they are.. But Toussaint overall is really beautiful place, i enjoy being here much more then in middle-war area of Vellen/Novigrad, nor "I am a seafarer now" Skellige. Only place that can match Toussaint is Kaer Morhen, but it's comparable smaller map.
Vesemir is here somewhere... laying under the tree, calmly, reading books about ghouls, while rainbow stand upon him. Now he is there, playing with big bad wolf, red riding hood and longlocks... in peace... in quite... in his forever home...
I hate it too, the "Through Space and Time" quest had amazing areas that we only get to see once. Not to mention Blood and Wine with the Elder Vampire's dimension, the Fairy Tale land and Hearts of Stone with G.O.D.'s challenge world.

When you are in fairy tale land then you can go to toussaint and back there as many times as you want, even on pc or xbox without any mods. You just need to use a horse when it goes through the barrier at last moment to hop on it. Thats very easy to do. Then you can go where ever you want, even climp Gorgon mountain
@@Minty-w7d horses can go through the barrier, Put the unicorn perpendicularly and then scare him by quen and jump on the unicorn in last moment. It works with wild horses too xd
started a year ago, because i was a console peasant but still haven't even explored the entire map yet, i get a side mission and then another and then another and it never stops, i have enough gold to last me through all the dlcs and then some and ive only completed the story about 55 percent. its such a good game. hope cyberpunk is the same
It makes sense that Vigo simply placed the illusion in a secluded spot in the wilderness. Much easier and less risky than creating an actual pocket dimension. Might also explain how those lost knights managed to get there.
In a game design sense it's easier on the hardware to have this area on the same map as the Dutchy. Which means in theory O'Dimms little world is somewhere in the base game. Perhaps under the map.
But it's surely a different feeling, than being in that colorful and joyful land and knowing the entire Beauclair is baing smashed up by an army of angry vampires.

Tried it today, no need for mods or anything, you really just need to ride north east towards that same market this video indicated. Seriously I'm getting creeps but a good one. It's really so surreal.
6 years later I gave it a shot to get outside the map using PS5 and I did it . Not easy but had to use the underwatr cave near the prison and then swim to the underground cave but land on the outside of it then jump back in the watr and swim down . Then the game spawns you outside the map . Went to the fairytale place and there is no rainbow and there is the stupid barrier around it and Geralt keeps saying to turn around .
Did the same thing on my first walkthrough 4 years ago. I finished the Aerondight quest while doing this Fairy Tale one, and i tried to figure out a way to get the sword before fighting Dettlaff. Eventually, I took the same path as you, but instead of getting into Fairy Tale Land i got out of it

Why did you go for cyperpunk cdpr... You had a good run with witcher 3. You should expand more of these games rather than first person Cyberpunk. Quite disappointing to be honest.

for the longest time I couldn't recall why the Toussaint background music felt familiar.... then it hit me: SKYRIM! listen carefully, really has a skyrim sound to it
He just disabled the boundaries that then you back by using a mod or console commands. It's still there, just have to do a bit of research beforehand :)

@@kingsoren2010 I tried to go back but I don't have any saves from before going to the elder. My PS4 only gave me saves from after entering the cave. Maybe I should just do new game plus and do it all over again. Gives me an excuse to start over and try different things.
This only works *after* already have been there, doesn't it? Unless they've patched it out ... I escaped out of the Unseen's cave and tried to get there, but there's a magic wall exactly at the spot you enter and all around too.

you won't have enough gold. Trust me. Once you get to level 30+ and go for armor enchantments, your cash will drain rapidly.
Summon theminions I have like 150k gold on me. Every new dlc house enhancement unlocked, every enchantment steps unlocked
you can always use cheat to get gold very easy
