I had mine on Dec 16th 2020. I've already lost 27lb. Once the weight comes off you get more excited with about the whole process. Stick to doctor's orders and you'll be fine. Journal and have people, or even your psychologists, close to you. Just a quick look at the thumbnails of your videos we can see that your are slimmer. Keep on being healthy! ;)
I really enjoyed watching your video! I feel Like you are my friend! I had gastric bypass on March 24th! I’m doing really well! No pain and I have super energy! Thanks for sharing your story!!! I went from 327lbs when I started the 6 month process. To 286lbs on my surgery date! I gained 12lbs during the hospital stay with all the fluid they were pumping me with. Today is my 1 week post opt!
When I came home after surgery and got on the scale and I saw that I had magically gained 14 pounds, I almost screamed/cried/passed out. Lololol. I was like... somebody needs to get my refund ready!!! (I lost it in 3 days) I am also a week out!! Good luck babes on your journey!!
Thank you so much!!! Congrats on your surgery. wishing you a speedy recovery and happiness in your weightloss journey. It's great! By now you are probably on solids, take it easy and don't overdo it. drink lots of water and stay hydrated.

Thank you for sharing your story, I apreciate your words and courage. I also am super grateful you talked about the psycological aspect if it because ive watched around 20 videos on gastric bypass and the sleeve and not one of them talked about the psyche evaluation. The psyche eval makes me nervous cuz I have PTSD, Anxiety and Depression so I feel like they would disqualify me on that but after hearing what you said, I may have a chance. Thank you for sharing and you are so beautiful :)
Thank you so much for checking my video out!! I had the same fears, but I also have a routine and mental health services that can back up my road to recovery. If you have that or anything close to that, it won't be detrimental to your approval. Good Luck. By now you probably already had the surgery. so I'm wishing you a speedy recovery.
Thank you for being brave and transparent. I thought that my thoughts and feelings were not healthy or “wrong”. I can relate to the bariatric approval process. ❤️🩹 thank you, friend.❤️
We need an update vid!! I’m so glad I found your channel. I live in the same area so I wanted to hear from someone who had surgery at VCU since that’s where I’d be going. I do have a question, and hopefully it’s not too personal, but did you pay out of pocket or were you covered by insurance? I only ask because I want to know about all the hoops to jump through with insurance companies.
I was covered by insurance and went through VCU as well. They usually require a number of diet appointmentsb ( 3, 6, 9, etc) it depends on what insurance you have. They also require a mental health evaluation, an endoscopy, and orientation. Good Luck on your journey. It's very exciting.
i can’t wait for more updates am only 198 but 5’0 but have pcos type 2 diabetes ugh so nervous but thank u for the updates and letting us be a part of ur journey with u 🥰🥰🥰
I am thinking about getting this done because my wait is getting me to the point the I am pre diabetic and also my daughter. what is the pain level after?
The surgery is comparable to a c-section (if you ever had one). I had three, so the pain level is about the same except you can't eat or drink as much.
