  • I just bought a copy of John Mawe’s Familiar Lessons on Mineralogy and Geology from 1825 and I took it back to the shop where it was written. Enjoy the mini-adventure and the Regency-era Gemcutter. #facetinghistory

      Depends on what country you’re from. I think only British/australians say lapirdarist. Americans and also Brit’s /aussies say lapidary as the person. Lapidary can also be the place though that’s pretty antiquated. I’ve never heard anyone say that out loud, only in hundred year old books. Usually lapidary studio or cutting studio is the place.
