I love that you're honoring the sunstone with such a meditative ritual. Giving a new beautiful life to this gemstone, so meaningful.
❤️❤️❤️
There are a lot of so called "tutorials" out there but yours are the only ones that really teach anything useful. Thanks for doing such a great job on these.
Thank you for the kind words.
Beautiful cut as usual😁
beautiful as usual.
Thanks my friend Justin. Thanks for sharing and showing the art. You are one honest and great friend.
Thanks so much for this, Justin!
It was my pleasure.
Thank you so much, I learned a lot from you .
Right in my backyard! welcome to Utah Justin. My "pink O'brian" set up is working great. And I built a 96 index handpiece that works on the same tip over concept as an O'Brian for the angle. Thanks for your help!
Cool!! Thanks for the welcome though actually I shot this video over a year ago and just discovered it, forgotten on a hard drive. Glad your machine is working well.
@@JustinKPrim haha! well I hope you had a fun stay.
@@pinettesteve It was great!! Very beautiful area.
Man that’s amazing work.
Really enjoy the polishing phase.
Brilliant job 🙏👍🤩
Thank you.
nice work
Nice !
Wow nice job I like to do this I like to zen stuff
Beautiful stone!
Thank you!
Mesmerising!!! So well narrated, and such crisp images. Which camera are you using currently for filming?
Thank you. I used 2 x Nikon Z6 with a 103mm macro lens and a 24-70 lens.
Nice job as always. Cool design. I recently found some purplish pink stones from a new area I’m prospecting. Can you take a look I made a post. Thanks have a good day 👍
🙏🙏🙏
Great video.. love it.. Is it the same Tin-lead lap from Mathijs? Just curious.. Thanks!
Nope this one was custom made for me. 70% tin and 30% lead approximately.
What machine are you using ? I'm a 65 y/o Disabled Veteran that's always been fascinated by Lapidary and Gem Cutting and would love to find a inexpensive cutting machine, to cut occasionally cut a stone for my wife, so a high output machine is not necessary. Any recommendations on a good inexpensive machine, Jam Peg ?
This is a Sterling ST-08. The whole set up with laps and tools is about $3000. If you try to go any cheaper, you are buying mostly junk that will make it very hard to learn. You can see the shopping list that I made for my students here. In my opinion that's the best cheap option and is also a great machine for beginners: drive.google.com/open?id=14NvJ89tXbRh6wIkFRljjQ607qcall20W&usp=drive_fs
I have some stories that need cutting

This is the first time I've seen the back of a Sterling machine. I'm curious what the Digital Readout is on the back ? I am aware the one on the front is the disc/platen rotational speed but how does the rear display differ ? Is it for Voltage ?
That's the actual speed controller unit. I think it shows the same number on that little screen as on the big one on the front but I'm not exactly sure.
Justin, I have 6 rough bediasite (a type of tektite) stones ranging from 4 grams - 23 grams. I hunt for/find them in my hometown. If I ship one to you, can you cut it? I want to set it on a ring. It is a very rare tektite. Black with translucency amber when back lit. Might be able to make a video out of it.. I saw black/amber tektite online that I liked. It was a round fauceted design. I'm up for ideas.

great vid! ASMR THIS JOINT! 💫💫
I did. Check the next video I posted 😎
@@JustinKPrim no doubt✨✨its on point...however hearing your voice in asmr as a sort of tutorial instructional way youve been doing might sound hell dope yo!...like a bed time or sleep type listen and learn...you seem to make it pretty easy follow...or just your your way of how you talk story about for meditation. Appreciate the heads up✨✨
@@godbodysupernaturallivinga994 well I figured uploading two versions gives people the option. I have a lot more ASMR videos. Coming later this year. I’m currently renovating a 100 year old hand crank table and once that’s working, the fun begins. That machine is begging to be an ASMR centerpiece. It’s quite and makes interesting soft sounds with no motor hum or high speed grinding sounds. All soft and sweet and I have a really good recording setup now for ASMR. Can’t wait to show you.
👏🎉
Redwax I don’t see that often
This one comes from bangkok. Medium heat. Works well for most things.
why didn't you get a utah sunstone they are yellow and some are very clear.
I didn't know about that. :(
