Late to the party but how does this idea apply to PP? Should the man stretch forward and the lady should stretch backward? Or is Promenade an exception where you are both allowed to stretch forward
In promenade it’s the same thing. If the lady stretches forward, she will end up in front of the man. Instead, what we do, it’s just trying to maintain the same kind of distance we usually have in closed position, but with feet, body and head correctly positioned for the promenade. So, to make it short, yes the lady has to stretch “away” from the partner, which will feel like she is pulling her head backwards-left.
