For me as a Competition Line Dancer is this video so important, because I learned many drills to level up my dance skills! Thank you very much and greetings from Germany......
These exercise and technique videos are perfect and greatly needed from professionally trained dancers as yourself. Please do more Exercise & Technique videos for other Standard Dances. Note/Suggestion: No need to video using portrait alignment of your cellphone. Turn the cellphone horizontal for landscape recording, it is much better.
Hello Vasily! Also I would like to say thank you for your very helpful lessons. Great job! Wish I'd be a little bit younger and more powerful into my footwork... your motivation is very helpful too. Thanks for your percice lesson. Greetings from Austria, Hilde
That was excellent, Vasily. Thank you very much. I have four questions. 1) When you do your closed boxes (squares), I noticed that you do not rise at each corner. For example, You lower, step forward, stay lowered as you step to the side, then start to rise as you step back. There is a lower low low, low low rise pattern. Then repeat. Is this standard for the closed box pattern (square)? Even with a partner? 2) When you do your open turns (natural turns), I noticed there was a lower low rise lower low rise with each three steps. Meaning, the normal waltz steps, with the lower and rise movement. I assume this is different from the closed boxes, where you did not rise every third step? 3) When you do your natural turns with slow waltz music, you are not turning until you start your second step. But with faster music, you do start turning during your first step. Can I assume this is ok? 4) I agree with another comment that it would be good if there were a definite waltz beat in the music. Some of the music is hard for me to hear the waltz musical beat.
