Good to see a video from you! I enjoyed hearing why you liked the strap and why, and especially across different cameras and different uses, and enjoyed the humor! :) Happy New Year!
Thanks for coming back and watching my videos again, Kary! Happy New Year!
hey Liam! so great to see you uploading again, always enjoy your content, welcome back!🙌🏽
Hey Vic! Thanks for coming back to watch! I missed the photography community on here.
Hey LG, WELCOME BACK!!! Love your vids, keep 'em coming. Wish you and your family a HAPPY HOLIDAY! JT
Thanks for coming back to watch, JT. Happy holidays!!
I use the Leica M strap on a Peak Design Field pouch and put my Leica in there (sometimes with a wrist strap). So when it comes out it's anchor-less and no fuss. But the bag it self stays on one should or cross body no problem. Also love a basic leather strap too. Leicas tend to have pretty flush back sides which carry better against your body.
Oh interesting! That’s cool that you kinda crafted your own version of a sling bag. Nice idea!
I had an upstrap maybe 20 years ago and loved it. Then it was grippy on both sides. I like a shoulder carry too. Wonder where that is?
Oh yeah, I've seen a few photos of the older style. It really shocked me how simple and effective the strap is and how long it's been around for.
hi Liam. Precisely which model strap did you get? could not tell if it was the friendship strap or the medium. Looks to be a very comfortable fit.
I got the medium so it would hold my canon r6 with its big lenses. It felt good on smaller cameras too but the friendship one will probably work great if you have a more compact camera.
I love Up Strap! I used them around 2015 on my Nikon D800.
I can’t believe I’ve never heard of them until recently 🤷♂️
To be fair, I only heard of them because Jay Maisel had them. Also, they aren't really a "cool" and "popular" street photo kind of strap, to be honest, I've never seen them on any YT street photography channel. They are sticky (don't glide) and don't coming in various colors and materials, but they are 100% business and bombproof IMO. They are great sitting on the shoulder and will stick like glue, with no bounce or stretch. I'm glad you did a video on them! Nice to see you posting again Liam! @@TheLiamGordon
Thanks mate. Yeah I found very little mention of them online except maybe a few old forum posts. I should really have taken some close ups and showed it off a bit more but I drive myself nuts trying to make videos complex and visually interesting 😅
It's been a while-nice to see you again. I enjoy your perspective on all things photographic!
Thanks, William. I've been planning to start uploading again for a while. I'm having to adjust and make videos much simpler now that I've got a kid so I appreciate you coming back to watch!
Good to see you again, enjoying fatherhood I bet! Cheers
Thanks for coming back to the channel, Tom! Enjoying fatherhood but also trying to claw back time for photography 😅
@@TheLiamGordon yeah me too, all my photos are now of my boy, street walks have mostly gone but not forgotten
Well you won't belive me if I say that I found an easy cheap lightweight solution for lightheight cameras. A 1cm nylon flat strap from a passport neck holder that is adjustable in lenght and has hooks to hook in those camera triangles. Sometimes I like to shoot from the hip with the strap on a crossbody position, and some times I just detach it and use a wrist strap that is a soft cord that is always atached to it. Tried many straps and always dislike it. This worked very well for me an very cheap alternative.
Oh nice idea! 🙌🙌
i just pre-ordered two large and 1 medium size. In their website they only have 19 left
Oh wow!
Liam. Where did you buy one in the UK?
I think the only place you can buy them is direct from Journey Camera.
@@TheLiamGordon Thanks Liam. He won't ship outside the USA these days.
Work on your lightning, it's distracting.
Shocking comment.
