I had this problem about a week ago. I tried all the possible solutions in your video. None worked. However, I managed to get Inshot to save the video. Here is what I did: After I was done making all the final edit is completed the following steps (on iphone): 1. Turn on do not disturb 2.Start doing a screen recording 2. Switch over to Inshot 3. Play the video you want saved in full screen mode 4. Once video is done playing, end screen recording 5. Wait for screen recording to be saved in your photos 6. Go back into Inshot and start a new draft. 7. Upload screenshot, trim the unwanted portions of the screenshot at the beginning and end of the video. 8. Save video.

What I had to do for it too work was I offloaded the app and when i reinstalled it after offloading it I went to my general in my settings of my phone and shut it down that way then I cut off some of my intro/outro and tried it and it work and remember this is a 34 minute video that I worked on for 4 to 5 hours and I have to deal with this InShot won’t hear the end of it because imma leave a nice review for them to fix they app 🤦🏾♂️😒😭
Unfortunately I think there is no solution to my problem. I put one month plus into editing videos, and they get so big it ends up saying “processing interrupted” thankfully I can just screen record it swapping it for slightly lower quality
The “reducing video quality to 1080 p” or 720 and the “phone memory is full” are the same thing. It worked for me so thank you! Basically if your storage is low, you can clear data or save the video to a lower resolution and you may have enough space for it to save.
You’re so right, multiple all nighters making perfect videos…. All the way to 100, then Failed to Convert! Over and over…. Searched for help, so sleepy I’m going to try and believe. Will let you know

Thanks for this. I found that mine wasn't saving because I had extracted audio and that was making the file way too big. Once I deleted the extracted audio, which was only about 4 seconds, it saved at 1080. Before doing that, it wouldn't save at even 480. Watching your cool and collected calmness really took me off the edge. Thanks!

OMG, you're hilarious! You GET ME! LOL! OK finally got it to export! Cue the trumpets! But I did just figure what could be another tip. Go to the Inshot SETTINGS. Click on Video Resolution Settings, pick one (I did 1080/30fps) and then export at that exact setting. Something tells me that the App Settings and the Export Settings need to MATCH?! Worked for me :) Thanks again you're a lifesaver and gave me a much needed laugh!

I have a Love/hate relationship with Inshot. I had so many failed videos because I do everything on my iPhone 8+ what has miraculously solved my problem is going to Settings, Safari “clear your cache Storage” Clear History and Website Data. I researched how to do this. Smooth as Silk now. 🙏
But this is only a solution if you don't have enough available storage right? Cause I have over 150GB free, so this is definitely not the issue for me.

Wanted to give an update on my efforts for transparency. June 14th 2021: I am trying to save a 35:41 minute video in 4K 30fps. Unsuccessful attempts: 6:00am loaded to 100% then dropped down to 10%. 7:00am loaded to 100% then dropped down to 11%. I checked the storage in my phone, I have 32GBs of space. Offloaded the Instagram app and koloro app. Deleted all the unneeded document and music files from my phone “files”. Tried again at 7:30am, loaded to 100% then jumped down to 11%. 9:00am added a few seconds to the ending, same thing, loaded till 100% then restarted from 0% allowed it to load to 100% again and it restarted again. Noon, I accidentally deleted the last 5 seconds and tried saving - didn’t work again. 1:00pm Gave up and decided to try to save the file in 1080p instead of 4K - THIS WORKED THIS TIME! Successfully saved :)
Oh gosh same happening with my video again since morning I have been trying to save the video but it’s not working and moreover everytime I m saving its deleting few of my video clippings, I had to again edit the video for 20 times atleast and now I give up 😞 I devoted three days to edit the video and now it’s not getting saved.. I m so pissed off.. this app sucks m never gonna edit my video on this app again I am done with it but how to save this video that’s my concern now.. I have a suggestion that worked for me at last - I deleted the InShot app completely then re loaded it ( yes i did loose all drafts on there ) but I loaded the video clips back on, edited again and it saved straight away ! Anyway let’s hope InShot solve this glitch sometime soon. Thanks for your video 😀👍
Love your video and humour! def make more Tech videos and your vid helped me find a workaround!! For my issue a 39 min 4k video: Here goes, I copied as per your advice. Then split the first video in to half. Then that first half saved! Then split 2nd video in to the end half, (making sure to match split point!) saved that separately (which also saved:):) Then stuck them both together, seamlessly and it worked! Hadn't used the copy function but saved me! Will upload vid to my channel later, it's me DJing and playing Acoustic guitar over my set :)
Thank you so much for your video. I watched it earlier and tried everything you mentioned. No success. But then I recorded a couple of videos, one 5 minutes, the other one 10min. Tried to convert both and it started to convert the short one. I stopped the process and tried my original video and it went through. Hope this helps someone. I am really pissed off, paying so much for an app that is not working.
I messaged them about 4 times yesterday 😂 this is what they replied! Thanks for your feedback, it is caused by low storage, actually during the video saving process, it will generate many intermediate files, these files will be automatically deleted once the save process is completed. In order to solve this, please try to release more space on your device. I managed to get mine to save by removing all the other videos I had on the app!
I just started this video and I’m already glad that I found someone that is feeling my pain with this freaking app. I’ve literally been spending three months making a video and it’s done, it loads all the way to 100% then fails to convert. I like this app but I’m so done with it. They need to fix it. Anyways I’m going to continue watching this video of this lady with the same frustration as me here we go!😂

After multiple attempts, I wanted to save it with a 720 p resolution but it still did not work and I then attempted again with a 1080p resolution and it worked. I just have the feeling that the app is not working well with IOS because I never had this problem on my android.
I didn't realize how old this video was but unfortunately I had the same problem just today. For what it's worth. I tried almost everything you suggested and nothing worked (like you warned). However I noticed my iPad was at 48% battery so I left it alone and charged it for a while and once my iPad was charged with over 50% battery, it worked. Maybe that was the problem. Who knows. But this video was very helpful and entertaining. thank you.

Hi, Kindale! I was having this same error trying to convert a 1h 12min video in inShot. I tried everything and nothing worked for me. And after a long time racking my brains I finally found a solution. I think this comment deserves to be pinned to the top, because I really believe this to be the best solution to our problems: First of all, make sure you have free space on your phone's storage with the total size by adding the original video's size and double of it. Finally, all you need to do now is edit the original video as normal, then save it as a draft and make a copy of it. Take one of the projects (original video or copy), cut the video in half and do the conversion (with any resolution). Then, with the other project saved as a draft, delete the first half that has already been converted, and now convert the other. Now you have the two parts converted, so you can now erase the entire original video from your phone to free up more space. Finally, for the magic to happen, all you need to do now is take these two converted parts and make a new edit in inShot, joining them and converting them to a single video. I believe this is the best solution. Hope I helped you!
This has worked for me in the past and I just tried it again. I can export the separate halves but then when I put them back in InShot to merge them, it fails again.

Happy it saved! I hate having to drop the quality from 4K to 1080p, but sometimes that is all that will save 😒 and I haven’t really been able to notice a big difference in the quality of my videos at 1080p vs 4k 🤷🏽♀️
as someone whose been using a sister app known as video guru (also created by inshot) i found the simplest solution to my issue of a video not processing was to record my screen, play the edit as a preview and THEN TAKE that screen recording and edit that so its the right size and format. personnally i believe my issue was related to too many keyframes, the error was 4608 so if any others who have experienced this processing error thats what id suggest doing. its not clean but its a solution.

you saved meee💖I copied the video, I deleted some files from phone for extra storage and I trimmed the video in the beginning, middle and at the end just a little bit. My video was succesfull💜

Thanks for the video! I think I fixed the problem. On the top of the InShot home page there’s a little wheel. Click on the wheel and the click on clear cache. After that save the video! That should do it!
I have tried most of these tips before, but then the new thing I learnt here was copying the draft which didn't work for you, but it did for me, thanks. O.O
Not sure if you figured out the saving issue, I also had issues saving. However when I exit the edit video it saves as a draft, then you can reopen the draft and save….it works every time for me.

@@AdriiiEnergyGuide yes 100% I believe this! I turned off apple storage and I have had no issues since. I store my stuff in my google drive until I need it - then I download it and use it. iCloud deff messes this app up

Been dealing with the "Failure to convert video" message for a while now. Only saves up to 10% and then the message pops up. I edit full time on my iPhone and iPad. Longer videos aren't saving, but the shorter ones are. I emailed them twice about it, but their options aren't working... SUCKY!
Today is my first time experiencing this issue and I'm on a deadline must say, I was really furious. I'm so glad I found your video. I had restarted my phone at least thrice, deleted all my downloaded movies on Netflix, and other things but the same "can't convert file" kept coming up. I tried the 'copying of the video" method you mentioned and tried downloading the copied one and it worked. This was a RUclips video I was trying to download, so trust me I wasn't even ready to start from the scratch in another app. InShot is even the only app I use. Which other good video editing app can you recommend?

The conversion part is indeed the main problem both on phone and pc

That will reduce drastically the videos resolution. If you dont mind it, this is a perfect solution

Thank you for making this video. I found you today after having this exact problem. I have a suggestion that worked for me at last - I deleted the InShot app completely then re loaded it ( yes i did loose all drafts on there ) but I loaded the video clips back on, edited again and it saved straight away ! Anyway let’s hope InShot solve this glitch sometime soon. Thanks for your video 😀👍

Love your video and humour! def make more Tech videos and your vid helped me find a workaround!! For my issue a 39 min 4k video: Here goes, I copied as per your advice. Then split the first video in to half. Then that first half saved! Then split 2nd video in to the end half, (making sure to match split point!) saved that separately (which also saved:):) Then stuck them both together, seamlessly and it worked! Hadn't used the copy function but saved me! Will upload vid to my channel later, it's me DJing and playing Acoustic guitar over my set :)

Thank you so much for your video. I watched it earlier and tried everything you mentioned. No success. But then I recorded a couple of videos, one 5 minutes, the other one 10min. Tried to convert both and it started to convert the short one. I stopped the process and tried my original video and it went through. Hope this helps someone. I am really pissed off, paying so much for an app that is not working.

Thanks for your feedback, it is caused by low storage, actually during the video saving process, it will generate many intermediate files, these files will be automatically deleted once the save process is completed. In order to solve this, please try to release more space on your device.
I managed to get mine to save by removing all the other videos I had on the app!
This is what did the trick for me. I removed a lot of downloaded podcasts. Thanks for your tip

I just started this video and I’m already glad that I found someone that is feeling my pain with this freaking app. I’ve literally been spending three months making a video and it’s done, it loads all the way to 100% then fails to convert. After multiple attempts, I wanted to save it with a 720 p resolution but it still did not work and I then attempted again with a 1080p resolution and it worked. I just have the feeling that the app is not working well with IOS because I never had this problem on my android.
I didn't realize how old this video was but unfortunately I had the same problem just today. For what it's worth. I tried almost everything you suggested and nothing worked (like you warned). However I noticed my iPad was at 48% battery so I left it alone and charged it for a while and once my iPad was charged with over 50% battery, it worked. Maybe that was the problem. Who knows. But this video was very helpful and entertaining. thank you.

I was having this same error trying to convert a 1h 12min video in inShot. I tried everything and nothing worked for me. And after a long time racking my brains I finally found a solution. I think this comment deserves to be pinned to the top, because I really believe this to be the best solution to our problems:
First of all, make sure you have free space on your phone's storage with the total size by adding the original video's size and double of it.
Finally, all you need to do now is edit the original video as normal, then save it as a draft and make a copy of it. Take one of the projects (original video or copy), cut the video in half and do the conversion (with any resolution). Then, with the other project saved as a draft, delete the first half that has already been converted, and now convert the other. Now you have the two parts converted, so you can now erase the entire original video from your phone to free up more space. Finally, for the magic to happen, all you need to do now is take these two converted parts and make a new edit in inShot, joining them and converting them to a single video.
I believe this is the best solution. Hope I helped you!
I had to cut the video in half 3 different ways, still combined them all and it still won’t download. 😭
This has worked for me in the past and I just tried it again. I can export the separate halves but then when I put them back in InShot to merge them, it fails again.

Happy it saved! I hate having to drop the quality from 4K to 1080p, but sometimes that is all that will save 😒 and I haven’t really been able to notice a big difference in the quality of my videos at 1080p vs 4k 🤷🏽♀️

as someone whose been using a sister app known as video guru (also created by inshot) i found the simplest solution to my issue of a video not processing was to record my screen, play the edit as a preview and THEN TAKE that screen recording and edit that so its the right size and format.
personnally i believe my issue was related to too many keyframes, the error was 4608 so if any others who have experienced this processing error thats what id suggest doing.
its not clean but its a solution.

Thanks for the video! I think I fixed the problem. On the top of the InShot home page there’s a little wheel. Click on the wheel and the click on clear cache. After that save the video! That should do it!

Not sure if you figured out the saving issue, I also had issues saving. However when I exit the edit video it saves as a draft, then you can reopen the draft and save….it works every time for me.

@@AdriiiEnergyGuide yes 100% I believe this! I turned off apple storage and I have had no issues since. I store my stuff in my google drive until I need it - then I download it and use it. iCloud deff messes this app up

Been dealing with the "Failure to convert video" message for a while now. Only saves up to 10% and then the message pops up. I edit full time on my iPhone and iPad. Longer videos aren't saving, but the shorter ones are. I emailed them twice about it, but their options aren't working... SUCKY!

Today is my first time experiencing this issue and I'm on a deadline must say, I was really furious. I'm so glad I found your video. I had restarted my phone at least thrice, deleted all my downloaded movies on Netflix, and other things but the same "can't convert file" kept coming up. I tried the 'copying of the video" method you mentioned and tried downloading the copied one and it worked.
This was a RUclips video I was trying to download, so trust me I wasn't even ready to start from the scratch in another app. InShot is even the only app I use.
Which other good video editing app can you recommend?
