In MP4's case, as it's a mid engined car, it can easily fly away on the wings of the wind. The Vette on the other hand, as a front engined car, even if it has a snail underneath, that doesn't allways guarantee Vette's victory. However, props for the Vette that it kept up with the MP4 running on full throttle!

You could buy a whole new corvette, and build it completely for less than 100,000 and eat the mclaren alive. Let me remind you that the mclaren probably costed around 300,000. Freshkicks has a built 350z running a single turbo that eats super cars for breakfast.

This C5 Z06 is badass, I plan on buying one this spring. They sell for really cheap, around 18-23k for a good one. This guys build is badass too, but yeah with that transmission no way in hell it'll beat the mcclaren. The second you have to shift, the mcclaren gaps you a car and a half lol

A tire ending in 2518 would have been made in the 25th week of 2018. These numbers also only appear on one sidewall of the tire (in my somewhat limited experience) and some places may end up facing the tire where the whole DOT code is facing inwards.

Is there cupping or feathering? How much of the useful tread is left? That is how you tell the condition of a tire that is still within its service life.
Bro, 21 year from brand new to now C5 owner here. When you said "I get to drive something above a mustang in terms of interior........" I fkn could not find enough sufficient oxygen to supply my lungs for a good minute! I know the interior is...not a strong point lol Ultimately, 650hp in a vette 6 speed, Z06 or not...is not enough for the mclarens of the world. Shift time is important. To compete may need 750 for the stock mclarens assuming the vette isint swapped with a powerglide. Tires also important but ultimately the power level starts to fight traction in the back and with all the weight in a midengine...well Mclarens just have everything going for them. Don't get me wrong I'll still run it but I know how to lose by now :)
