    At the end of that Tchaikovsky passage the bass trombone and tuba players nearly sucked all the air out of the room

    Oof, the transition from Tannhauser to Tchaikovsky was outstanding. Straight from E major to B minor off the trombones landing on a B.

    The bass trombonist playing the Bb on the valve at the end of Tchaik 6 was a super interesting decision to me. I don't hate it either. It blended fairly well with the section, nice and warm.

    Ian sounds so godly until he goes down to the F so sharply - but gets it in tune just before it's over :p (no I cannot and never will do better).
