- Its finally finished. After trial and error, Spanning from a Year to build the Figure, and Months to plan this review, I feel happy with how it turned out.

Just over a year ago, I showed this video to Angus Maclane. (Director of Lightyear.) He was not impressed. His words weren't a critique. They were nitpicks. Well, look at him now. His movie failed, and he got fired from Pixar.
Well, he's missing it, I mean you made it so movie accurate, you can even remove his helmet completely, he has articulated hands, a distorted voice box as if he were a figure from the nineties, I mean it's beautiful.Hey but how did you do that helmet thing?

He could have had a chance if stuck original source material. Instead he went the opposite. He decided make the movie flop, n give the classic look of the suit at the end movie. Should have given it buzz throughout the entire movie. Same with zurg being an emperor slash Darth Vader type of character no future buzz instead. He says this movie is in the 90's, yeah right! No it's not. I've seen Terminator 2 that was in the 90's, I've seen brainscan that was in 90's, the original toy story is in the 90's. Jingle all the way in the 90's, star wars special edition edits in the 90's, star trek in the 90's, Indiana Jones & alien were in the 90's, buzz lightyear the movie this is not movie in the 90's. It's cartoon show the topic is old n stupid; they had one chance make this movie good, they blew it. Instead we got only one toy of the original classic suit from this movie & that's it. Never going get rid of it. Mattel sure made sure give something good for the line assortment even if it's one doll of the original suit that's fine. The rest became peg n shelf warmers, clearance. That doll never made it stores surprise ending right. Jetpack adventure buzz lightyear. Last one standing. Got lucky. Although it would have sold if they used for the entire movie. Nope! Thanks for nothing Angus maclain. Good character gone crap through entire movie. One chance & blew it.

Not anymore. I can write a better story than that. In fact I'm writing one in progress recently. My series turning into a book. Videos are too much work. Writing is my gift passion.

The only feature preventing this custom from being 100% accurate is a fully retractable helmet, but considering this is (if nearly) impossible to pull off, the custom might be 99% accurate without such a feature, but nonetheless, it's still an amazing custom you did

I'd like to thank everyone so much for the super kind words on this video. I'm currently at 99 likes, and 1,935 views. Thats very exciting to me. Although, I feel as if this video could've been better. A lot of work really did go into this, but something about it still feels so sloppy. My stupid editing software messed up a bunch of times, due to the Files being so massive, so the final result came out not exactly what I was hoping it to be. And btw, I must let everyone know that I'm not trying to fool anyone with the Karate chop feature, Laser, ect; This project is supposed to be a Fictional Toy review,in the Pixar universe. Something I haven't seen anyone do before.

@@garrettdarkstar2647 you mean as in removable? Still cool, and the paint, glow in the dark? Also, how did you get the karate chop, but still keep the artculation on his right arm? I mean, I had a smashing hulk figure that could do something similar, but with both arms fully articulated. But, I never took it apart to find out how.

This is the absolute best Buzz Lightyear mod I have ever seen! The only things that I think I would do if I made a mod like this would be to make the helmet and wings not only extend when you push the buttons, but also retract.

Thing is that it's two or three figures. One has the wings with lights, wrist communicator, voice lines, laser, and upgraded articulation. The other has his karate chop feature, and another has his battery pack in the back. And I think they all have a new paint job, upgraded articulation, as well as new movie-accurate head and removable helmet.
@@garrettdarkstar2647 I just think it's a great idea. Like it's perfectly done camera work and prop/toy-making that really brings the toy to real life on video. Honestly I could see this being a way to make a live action Toy Story remake. It makes a great display piece and movie prop. You did an amazing job!

@@garrettdarkstar2647 Oh I know, I was just trying to clear it with someone, because I'd hate to see you get so much hate because people believed that this was just one figure. Like, it should be a no-brainer that there'd have to be at least 3 different Buzz's, it'd be impossible to have every single feature into one Buzz figure. So I think you made a great choice in having it be more than one, not only for the sake of an in-universe toy review, but also for playtime and displaying Lol

Nope not anytime soon. Theres no configurative way means creating a movie accurate buzz with everything its impossible. Thinkway can create a good buzz but maybe? Potentially do a few perk changes to the signature like balljoint wrists, swilvel arms, and maybe a removable helmet pressing those two purple buttons to release the helmet like takara but other than that, no karate chop is not going to work the arm would be fixed unless you were to pull it off somehow with mattels latest karate buzz method but i dont see the karate gimic a major necessity its a gag to 80s karate kid toys than is served for an action figure. Buzz doesn't use the karate chop alot in the movies its there as a funny gag haha joke than is to be taken serious. Buzz is more an action figure ascetic in toy terms than a gag joke. What good would it be to have a toy with one moving arm and another thats fixed? Wouldn't work. An action figure is not an action figure if it doesn't have both working usable arms. Disney doesn't make good quality toys especially buzz, my jcp buzz stopped working and the light tip on the wing stop blinking and his laser sticker disintegrated i was disappointed. I got a replacement after and before that i got an official ds mold buzz interactive one with toy story 4 phrases. Dont get me wrong i loved my jcp first buzz and I used him alot for my videos on my series, hes not thinkway quality though. Thinkway is much better. Also theyre digital pixar data which means if you have a thinkway toys toy story toy you have piece of pixars data in your possession. However im not going to complain about woody because hes woody he has several different distinct various versions over the yrs. Woody doesn't have a perfect representation even though yes it is plausible to make a perfect accurate woody doll unlike buzz granted woody would take time and effort to make a perfect rendition of the sheriff cowboy doll from toy story. With tom hanks voice not jim hanks. And depending the quality the manufacturer making the woody doll creates him out of, woody is not hard to make. Buzz is impossible though to make. Much like a real life buzz lightyear toy that has limited of everything. I don't really take the visor dome off he looks better with it on than off. Also the wingspan size is large, and not thin like disneys. Whatever idea they thought was sprawling up their alley. And buzz's wings are supposed to go all the way inside not wingtips sticking out just an inch out near below the butt if you know what.

no, there's just two Buzz's.
Amazing custom. What did you do to the wings? They're REALLY straight, and don't droop down like the toy story collection ones. They look SO MUCH better.

I have so many questions on how you made him THIS perfect! Like is the laser a real laser pointer? How did you put real screws on his arms and legs? How did you make the voice distorted? How did you make the laser noise play so long? Sorry if this is a lot, this buzz mod is just literally so perfect 😭.
Edit: how did you make the noise on the legs so quiet and so clicks without it sounding like you were breaking his legs?

The head sculpt is amazing, but I just have to ask, how did you get the karate chop action to work? Also I love the straight wings, the only thing is recommend is that you can do what the Disney store did and add a little button to open the helmet halfway, and is this gem able to glow in the dark, just wondering. Sorry TodayIGrewUp, but this is better
