Okay, so, for the glow-in-the-dark feature, the TSC Buzz actually does glow if charged under direct light. It’s not as prominent of a feature as it should be (he’s supposed to glow instantly in the movies), but if you shine a light directly on TSC Buzz for about 10-20 minutes or so, his green paint should produce a glow when you turn out the lights. That being said, I have the white logo version, so maybe it’s different for signature, I’m not sure.

Yeah I agree the signature buzz does glow in the dark you just have to put it under light for a few seconds

got both version too, Thinkway got the looks right and Takara got the articulation- but i am leaning on the Takara coz of the shoulder joints, something Thinkway should have done after all the years they are producing Buzz figures- great comparison review 😊
True, I do like the range of motion of the shoulders and Thinkway really has no excuse not to add that!
@@zedabyu the toy story collection buzz does glow in the dark lol. You just have to hold it up to a light for a looooong time. I have one and have gotten it to glow before.

The reason I’m getting the Takora version is for one simple reason, I can find the T version for a decent (yet still expensive) price and the signature collection Buzz light year is typically sold for $400-$500 these days.
Oh dang, where are you located at? I got my signature for about $150 only. Maybe try 2nd hand ones cos I got another for $2 locally from a parent getting rid of children's toys.

I prefer the Signature Buzz but here in Brazil,q signature Buzz is like 1.000$ and a Takara Tomy Buzz is like 300$
If only we can get a Buzz Lightyear with the best elements from both versions and come with a film-accurate toy packaging for display options...

I smell a custom brewing! It'd be awesome to see some sort of a hybrid of collection buzz and a Takara buzz!!!
Also the reason the buttons cannot press is since the arm extensions go all the way in touching both the wing and voice box so sadly a custom might not be possible for like talking or anything.
Yeah, might have to sacrifice some parts to accommodate for articulation. Will do some research before deciding on a custom.
I think it depends on what electronics and circuit boards are used. I’m sure there’s a way to get the electronics in there with the arm extensions not getting too in the way, but they probably just didn’t want to deal with smaller circuitry.
My best friend has a movie accurate buzz. VERY accurate.
Are you going to customize them? I think you should combine the best of the two into one figure!

I know some people may think I’m weird, but I personally think that compromising an accurate sculpt in minor ways to make room for better articulation is more desirable than a more accurate figure that has little to no articulation. If a detail or a piece is altered a little, but allows more range of movement while still looking good, then I’m all for it. And that’s why I’m so confused why nobody has given Buzz proper butterfly joints in his shoulders! Sure you’d have seam gaps on the chest plate, but instead of giving him such limited range or having to add weird black segments that stick out, just cut into the chest plate and add a butterfly joint. Not perfectly accurate, but offers great articulation in return

I Like Both Of The Thinkway Signature Collection Buzz Lightyear And The Takra Tomy Buzz Lightyear.
Buzz Lightyear is the coolest toy ever it's one of my favorite toy
Aside from the Toy Story Collection version, my favorite Buzz Lightyear was the Bandai Chogokin one. It is 1:2 scale but has better details than any of the full size ones. The articulation is similar to this Takara Tomy one. There are screws holding parts together also, but they covered all of the screw holes with panels. Lots of interchangeable faces and hands. It’s definitely the best looking Buzz Lightyear for photography. I ended up selling mine a few years ago but wish I kept it.
The signature collection Buzz does glow in the dark. I think it should be advertised on the box.
Does it? I have a couple spare Buzzes here and haven't really seen any glow when I switch off the lights. Do I need to shine it with a UV torchlight?
@@zedabyu maybe, I usually leave my buzz under the sunlight for a few minutes, and then it really glows bright!
@@zedabyu I think it needs to charge, I don't have one (cue the sad violin music) I mean I have a buzz but it's the remote control with no moving legs and no wings. Anyways, I heard from others that you need to charge it or something but I don't know

Well I have a signature collection buzz I’d most likely go with the super pose buzz, and they Disney store buzz is also nice the laser arm feels like one piece but worth it since it was 3.00 at a thrift shop

Yeah I think they got the license when TS4 was released in 2019, that's why we haven't really seen any before that.

I have this Buzz Lightyear figure, that action and posing gimmick is really nice. Each posing action is better than signature one, but the quality is like not accurate. And my buzz can stand his own.

No plans for this Buzz for now. Would rather try to make Signature's more articulated since everything else is pretty accurate.

Takara might be more fun to play, but for price and movie accurate point a view, i would get thinkway 100%, now, the takara in ebay is like $430+ (aud) way too expensive and that hole mania is a bit disturbing to look at 😂

@@zedabyu maybe you should try to illuminate it with something, I don't remember exactly what the box or the instructions said, but it was something that to make it shine you had to leave it on the lights for a while because mine also sometimes doesn't shine and that's because I usually don't usually turn on the lights in my room
