Just to speak on the height: According to John Lasseter, Buzz is the height of a classic GI Joe, which the medicom version is.

@@CinemaToybox now that my medicom Buzz has arrived, I’ve learned that the legs pull down making him 12 inches tall.
Honestly neither one really does it for me. Takara Tomy wasn't bad for the original price but it's not worth it nowadays. Medicom Buzz isnt worth it either. I feel like at the current price, i wish Medicom could've added electronics to make the price feel more justified. The helmet not being able to move up and down was definitely a mistake. The height doesn't bother me that much but it could've been taller. For me personally I'm pretty happy with my Collection Buzz Lightyears regardless of some of its flaws.

I wouldn't judge them too much, as long as you have them both at least, two 12 inch scale Buzz Lightyears that have really good articulation. I have both of them

I do agree that takara Tomy Buzz lightyear is way more accurate in height but medicom kind of disappoints me because it could have had articulated fingers like collection Buzz and at least give him a opening helmet and pressable buttons but if he had those things then I would feel better about him
I plan on fixing that with articulation for the fingers and thumbs. 😉

@@woodysroundup8311 Honestly buddy take it from me if the Medicom Buzz hand can be modified to articulate the hands/thumbs swapping them with the TS Collection Buzz hands is gonna be pointless.
I say that because it’s gonna look inconsistent because the green square is on the Collection Buzz hand is a lot smaller compared to the Medicom hand which is inaccurate.

100% maybe those could be modded but for almost $700 they should have been standard

Medicoms Buzz’s height is movie accurate to me. Also am confident that Woody is supposed to be way taller then Buzz.

These prices are insane. Thank god I got my Takara version a few years ago when people were trying to get rid of the real posing buzz stock. The faces were $500? My wife gets pissed off when I buy a marvel legends how does your woman let you spend money like you’ve got Elon money?!

The height difference between the buzz's, medicom is slight short than Thinkway and Takara tomy. Medicom is giant stepup improvement from the past buzz's. Correct accurate wingspan. Interchangeable hands, faces, good articulation, interchangeable domes, it's really great. Good. It's good. For the Thinkway & Takara I'm going have say the wingspan isn't that good they gave it try & almost close the movie. Except Thinkway & prior buzz's have electronics can talk, semi articulation kind of, Takara is good for the time it's not greatest it does have its flaws. Wings don't come out from the sides, the articulation is good, the removable dome is good, articulated hands are semi alright. No electronics it's not really going be used for playing with it's going be used for collecting display. It's collectors item it's still toy though. And the original head came with it is.. horrible. Copy horrible knockoff of Thinkways. Medicom is better. But I still prefer my Thinkway talking buzz. And the height scale for buzz is not accurate the movie. He's little more tall than short than Tempus morph size n scale.
They're gonna come out with a version 2 Medicom Buzz, like they did Woody, and do all the things they should have....and it'll cost us $1999.

Neither one of them is a win win because they don’t have electronics or a fully whooshing feature karate chop action one is smaller than the other but this is why we have something called 3D scanning and 3D printing
Only buzz to have all those features was Disney store buzz. Great buzz but needs a head swap, extended wings and hidden screw holes. And moveable fingers

these are both ridiculous toys, I can't even begin to imagine the thought process of making such an overpriced collector item when the one with all the electronics and movie features is still just $33 on Amazon.

The non ability to even press the buttons both on TAKARA TOMY and MEDICOM BUZZ LIGHTYEAR (I think that Both are directly based on REVOLTECH ,TOY STORY BUZZ LIGHTYEAR action figures) BANDAI spirits Soul of CHOGOKIN BUZZ LIGHTYEAR Diecast metal/resin articulated statue can do this and this figure was released for TOY STORY 3 in 2010-2011 He also has far more articulation in the head
But on all 3 figures there’s no electronic features and the wings do not pop out
No lights no sounds
Nothing!
Also on all three the articulation on the hands might as well be non existent especially on TAKARA TOMY, give him one set of fully articulated hands on the MEDICOM/Revoltech ball jointed wrists please.
However, both BEAST KINGDOM TOY STORY EGG ATTACK STATUES have lights, the spaceship levitates and spins around on the magnetically powered base, and the EGG ATTACK statue of BUZZ LIGHTYEAR has pop out wings and his laser light and wings light up
Also, just to let you know, not to pedantic, TAKARA TOMY Toy Story 4 real posing action figure, has a set of stickers in the box and you get an Andy sticker but it’s woodys Andy sticker
