such a cool model and nicely painted, if you want a older looking bone / disgusting teeth you could use little snakebite leather at the base of the bones/teeth and blend it towards the end after skeleton horde, makes it darker / grungier
So I just finished a paint-along, painting a 3D print of this up to a level I consider finished (I skipped some of the late highlights, particularly since my model doesn't have as much hair/fur as the official one does), and I'm super pleased with the end product. I can definitely safely say that this is a tutorial well worth recommending. For the skin, I used a mix of Apothecary White and Frostheart since I'd misplaced my Gryph-Charger Grey, only to find it later after I'd finished. 🤦♂ But I'm super glad with how the light-blue coloring turned out.
I was just able to watch your interview at the painting phase and I want to say I appreciate the videos you make and the speed in which you do them so we can see them. I've learned a lot from your videos and I often rewatch to learn more this was an awesome video
As someone who paints sporadically your videos are enjoyable to me even when I'm not actively painting. Your videos are super accessible and informative. Is there any chance you might paint up the forthcoming GW clear plastic LotR King of tne dead?
Thanks - I'm not sure you might be right - if you watch the box review on my Patreon (no need to subscribe - just click the link n the description) you may be able to see it
Thanks for the video. I would like to ask. How to choose an analogue of GW paint in other systems.? I have no painting experience and the range of GW paints in my city is small. For example Vallejo or AK
This is a simple base ready mix from geek gaming scenics - you put pga on the base, and then dip it in the bag and you get a nice mixture that gives you the effect - really simple!
The Varghulf badly needed a new model. It was a nice sculpt but finecast is terrible. The new FEC range looks amazing and I hope this is a foretaste of glow ups for other armies in the future. Very nice work. If I ever pick up some FEC I'll definitely consider this paint scheme.
Personal question. Are you more of a fantasy or 40k guy...or more specifically...do you find AOS models in general or 40k brings you more enjoyment from a painting/lore/ game play ect..?
More flesh eater courts please and thank you!...it would be cool to see a 10 man goul unit with your amazing technical approach
That will be it until Ushoran is released I think - there's 4 on the channel so plenty to choose from!
That would be a dream! Please make that video happen 🙏🏼🙏🏼❤️
Thanks coach! I find this is the most effective way to paint with contrast

Looks gorgeous and easy to follow, thank you!
Really love this paint scheme
Cheers
Finally a FEC tutorial that doesn't make them green! Think I might also use this on my Vargheists too, need to strip them first
Love this blue with the bones popping out. Great job 👏🏻
Cheers mate 👍🏻

Thanks! I'm afraid I don't have any plans to do those minis
Nice work! 😃👍🏼
Cheers
I love this !! Do you happen to have a paint list of all the paints used?
Thanks! Yes it is in the description 👍🏻
Awesome paint job and quite fast too!! what’s the size of the base? Maybe 90x52mm? Thanks in advance

Moi qui cherchais un schéma de couleur, j’ai trouvé. Magnifique👍
Merci 👌
Looks great! Very simple. Would the same technique work with the Cryptguard?
Cheers Gordon - yes 100%!
Man that is a beautiful scheme. Now I’m torn between this and Morgaunt.
Cheers!

Thanks! If you check the video description, then there is a link to a conversion chart
I'm a bit late, but do you have a video or some advice for how you did the basing materials (like those little tufts of grass and whatnot)?

@@ThePaintingCoach Awesome, thank you.

What brush size are you using? Looks great!
I use size 1 and 0 Rosemary and Co Series 33
Amazing Work as always! How did you do the base if I'm allowed to ask?
Thanks - it's just a ready mix base mix from geek gaming - called Fields of New Zealand I think
Personal question. Are you more of a fantasy or 40k guy...or more specifically...do you find AOS models in general or 40k brings you more enjoyment from a painting/lore/ game play ect..?
40K I think - although the AOS models are fantastic and very armospheric!
So when you do yours celestial gray as your first coat. Are you actually dry brushing it or are you doing it when the paint's still wet??
It's a very heavy drybrush - and because I am using a soft brush, it retains some of the moisture which helps it spread
Do you know if we can get it as standalone unit?
Not sure - probably eventually
I actually prefer the flesh with just volupus pink,, it feels more like exposed muscle and sinew which feels more gross
