What the hell is up with so many negative critics of Dave's reviews. He's an awesome reviewer and I dig his personality. It makes things less bland. Good god people need to get over themselves, your not that important people....really....your not. He's great.
What you don't seem to get, Dustin, is that everyone who watches these videos is entitled to express their opinion of them, whether they like them or not. I offered some *constructive* criticism of the reviewing technique that Dave has been using lately, because with his education and prior work experience, I think he can do better, more professional and more mature reviews. He's a 40-something man who has worked as a professional journalist, not a 20-something that just picked up a cam and decided to post videos on RUclips. I respect his professional background and education, and I also admire his athletic ability outside Everyman Driver. No one was saying he couldn't have a personality; he just doesn't need to try so hard to get laughs. BTW, I never said my opinion was any more important than anyone else's. But the whole point of allowing comments on videos is to see what the people who watch them think of them, whether they like them or not. You don't have to agree with what I say, and neither does Dave.
I think it's more to do with the background he chose. It's a dull grey cloud day with dead like neighborhood. So it causes more people to react negatively to the video. He should try going in the city with a cool parking lot or something.
I respect all respectful opinions. Please know, I'm not aiming for any particular audience with this style or approach. I'm simply having FUN and NOT taking myself too seriously. And remember, these "Just Arrived" videos are VERY different than my "DETAILED Reviews". There's a clear difference in approach. Yes, I spent 15 years as a professional broadcaster including solo assignments in Iraq and Haiti but that doesn't mean I have to be a talking robot. I'm allowed to have a personality. No one should be painted into a box and labeled. As far as the unfair comparison with the creator of Subaruwrxfan, I checked his numbers. He started his channel 6 years before I started mine (2006). He has roughly 124,000 subscribers. I started my channel in late 2012. We've gained roughly 68,000. To the person leaving the comment, I think it's safe to say I know more about building a successful RUclips Channel than you give me credit for. Sincerely, Dave

Hi Dave, I would like to express my concern, because I think what I'm thinking relates to what majority others are complaining about. Now, I'm not saying you're bad at all, in fact I really enjoyed your reviews from about a year ago, and I've been subscribed since. I don't have any intent on unsubscribing, and I signed up for the Monthly Newsletters as well. You see, everyone who has truly followed you from about a year and a half ago knows that your style in reviewing cars has tweaked a little. It seems like the videos are much shorter, condensed, and we don't have the past Dave Erickson we all are so used to. I want to note 4 videos I really think presents as an authentic 'Dave Erickson Detailed Reviews' and they are 2013 Nissan Pathfinder, 2013 Nissan Altima, 2014 Mazda6, and 2013 Honda Accord Sport. I'm not sure if lots will agree with me here, but we'd rather prefer to see those reviews previously mentioned and others like Bloopers you did (e.g. Honda Accord), and 0-60 runs (e.g. Merc C-Class) rather than 'Just Arrived' or 'Test Drives' or even 'Name that exhaust'. Look, I don't know what the Subaruwrxfan comparison thing is and all, but I absolutely respect your decision in saying this is the style you want in your videos now, and the fact that you like including little bit of your personality in your videos. I subscribed to you because I felt like your videos were authentic which helped to show your unique ability to review a car at an everyman's perspective and I signed up for the newsletters because the people who signed up were able to see videos that was unlisted early because it's an exclusive. A lot has changed Dave, and I just thought it would be a decent thing to do rather than complain and send you hate. But ultimately, everything is up to you, since it's your reviews, your audience, and your channel. So I wish you the best Dave.
When I first started watching your reviews I was so in love with them. Now watching this as an adult I've realized I'm actually in love with you 😭❤️ and your reviews haha.
I love your "just arrived" videos, we viewers can see the "other" side of you, the just casual, excited-to-see-a-new-car, fun-loving guy. And i don't understand those people who complains about these videos of yours. You rock, Dave :)
This is a "Just Arrived" video...isn't it? It's not a "Review" video...that's my undertanding anyway. I really enjoy the just arrived review. And Dave's personality is what makes these videos. Keep doing what you're doin' Dave!!
You crack me up! I love your videos! You keep me interested! Looking to buy a new car in a couple months. Trying to find the right one that's kid friendly. And staying within the $24,000 region and under! Keep doing what you do!
Incredible redesign on what was already an impressive style that made this such a popular choice among SUV buyers. I love the center console layout. Although I'm not head over heels in love with this car, I can't deny the improvements made and what great review you did on this. Will definitely be on the lookout for the off-road video you post soon to come. Also, I love that Nissan brought that copper orange color back too.
Bought a 2018 MURANO SL Back in Feb and I Love it!!!!!!!!! Pearl White w Black Lwather Interior,BOSE AUDIO,Heated Seats front and back,Heated Steering Wheel,Tilt Telescoping Steering Wheel,18 in Wheels and Tires,GREAT Cargo Space,Manual Shift Mode,Reclining Back Seats,3.5 V-6 is Very Peppy!!!!!
Dave...You are one of my favorite reviewers on YT. I won't mention your competitors, but I always enjoy your work especially since you have gone completely solo. Keep up the good work and ignore the naysayers.
Hi Dave, Haters going to hate dude. IMO, this video is much better than your standard reviews. The ways to open the trunk, the seating position etc etc is all basic standard info, but you adding your opinions and personal flare here are great. Keep it up. Also, did you see Alex le Frec's attempt at a youtube channel? Looks like you won that divorce :) :)
I like the wide opening rear hatch. Definitely a good size to haul a set of drums to gigs. The cockpit looked like it was driver friendly. I loved that gorgeous blue, I really liked the exterior design of the body. Have a fun week,Dave.
Daaang..... Heated BACK seats, too!!! what a sweet looking SUV. I love the colors of this model. Dave, dumb question for you....in all the SUV's you've been testing lately, do they all sit you at about the same height? After my knee replacement, I kinda need to sit high in the saddle. And dude... I swear I see "Tony Denozo" (NCIS) in you during the back review at 3:53!!!!
keep up the good work huge fan of all your reviews thank for these just arrived videos let us see everything from a real eye view how we would look at a car shopping for the first time
The Murano is outstanding I didn't know had so much standard. Gotta love Nissan because look at the new Maxima it's better than ever looking for forward as my next car purchase currently own a 2007 Nissan Altima SL love it to death no issues still as smooth first day I bought off the lot new of '07. NISSAN RULES!!!
The 2015 KIA Sorento, 2015 Ford Territory and 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe are much better picks in this segment. The 2015 Murano looks too ugly to even consider it.
MilanoFootball I actually bought the 2015 Kia Sorento about 1 month ago. And it's much better than my previous SUV (BMW X3). It's bigger and it has very responsive handling with more road feedback which is what I wanted. And cooled seats too. The engine and interior technology on the 2015 Kia Sorento is amazing for the price.
Nice car but after sitting in one, like many new cars with the sloping rear it has bad rear visibility. The real downer was the view out the front. The way the front wass designed and the seating position it felt like I was sitting low. Too bad because the seats really are as comfortable as they say.

The least expensive Murano you can buy starts at just under $30K, and can go up over $40K. This car isn't aimed at young buyers, but middle aged and older, according to other reviews I've watched. If you want an SUV as your first vehicle, why not look at a much more reasonably priced Juke, Honda CRV or the new Honda HRV?
Sorry back 10 years ago 2004,2005, Murano was the envy of SUVs for size and luxury. Its overall design has not been updated much and it just reeks of yesteryear. I'd rather buy an Inifity QX70.
The 2015 KIA Sorento or 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe is a much better choice. The 2015 Murano's driving experience feels to detached and the front looks like Donald Duck... ugly car.
テクノロジー I'm surprised a Japanese person would recommend Kia, a Korean brand. But I agree with you, the 2015 Kia Sorento is much better than the 2015 Nissan Murano.
Jody Presti Another reviewer said the Murano Platinum was around $43K, which is still a lot of money. It's supposedly being marketed at "empty nesters".
Sort of agree, but it's nice people actually use their garages (and don't park on the street) rather than filling them up with crap. I think it's the fact that it's winter and there is little landscaping that makes it look so forlorn.
+Everyman Driver i think the audi and lexus suv line have more attractive taillights....even the mdx is pretty nice imo. i just dont like the way these tailights protrude on the sides. Same goes for the toyota highlander. Deal breaker imo. great reviews btw!

Sweet design
Very nice car inside and out.
how about the major blind spot in the b-pillars
The 2015 KIA Sorento, 2015 Ford Territory and 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe are much better picks in this segment.
The 2015 Murano looks too ugly to even consider it.
MilanoFootball The Murano this year is really ugly looking. I don't know why Nissan went with such an ugly design..
MilanoFootball I agree.

Hi Dave, any plans of reviewing the 2015 Nissan Xterra Pro 4X.
Possibly... I'm on the list of approved journalists to receive Nissan vehicles, so fingers crossed - Dave
Alright, I'll keep my fingers crossed. Thanks
Yes, I found out on google. Is it true Nissan its going to re designed the xterra.
Love your shoes.
How is that CVT holding up?
Lol @ HQ, he's a cool cat. What watch does he have on

Gorgeous vehicle!!!
What about the CVT, is it durable?
Should have cooled seats too. And thr touchscreen is big at 8"(you said 7"
It is 8 inches. I thought it was 7. It do look bigger than the one in the Titan. I thought it was just because the murano was smaller.
Wish I could afford that exact car lol. Btw what's the song?
love it, might get one
Guessing it's a Platinum since you got "20 inchers"
Why the little jab on the Kia Soul?? Lol
can you do a 0-60 video on this?
map2249 sorry, don't have it anymore.
It does look like an Xtrail
Dave what is your personal car this days ?and what is your favourite car ?

The 2015 KIA Sorento or 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe is a much better choice.
The 2015 Murano's driving experience feels to detached and the front looks like Donald Duck... ugly car.
Stefan Schmidt It doesn't help that Nissan didn't get rid of the CVT and underpowered engine.
Stefan Schmidt I take the 2015 Kia Sorento.
Stefan Schmidt I think you are making correct words.
In Japan, no one buy Nissan SUV. Japanese people like German SUV
FrenchVoyeur Kia Sorento is also very good.
テクノロジー I'm surprised a Japanese person would recommend Kia, a Korean brand. But I agree with you, the 2015 Kia Sorento is much better than the 2015 Nissan Murano.
so how much? 35k?
More like $45-46.5 as shown.
Jody Presti Damn thats alot of $$ for this suv
