Good informative video. Shinagawa Prince has been my go-to location for a good 30 years due to easy access to Shinagawa station and the shinkansen while avoiding Tokyo Station. Sakura Prince Tower was my favorite before becoming associated with Marriott. They ruined the hotel after that. It was a fairly unknown quiet hotel before then and you felt worlds away from the city. When it changed, they relocated all the staff I spent years developing relationships with. I stayed a couple times more after that, but never enjoyed the hotel after that. The other Prince hotels in Shinagawa are all in need of remodeling. Not much has changed in 30 years. I especially don't like the dark showa era bathrooms and a lot of the rooms are generally dark and gloomy in 2023.
Gio san, thank you for watching and leaving a comment! I like breakfast buffet too. It's an important part of travel and this one at Prince Hotels were very nice. 😄
I booked this hotel for my upcoming trip as one of the first things to book for the trip. I later discovered just how big tokyo is and that this hotel is nowhere near any of the provinces or attractions I am hoping to check out in tokyo, but at the same time I like the look of the hotel and dont wanna reschedule to a smaller hotel, even if it is closer. Sounds like the hotel is handy to the train station, so at least travel to other areas shouldnt be too difficult. Thanks for doing a video on the hotel, it gives me a good idea what to expect
I lived in Tokyo for 4 years, 2003-2007, and after I received my work permit, the first job I had was with the Shinagawa Prince Hotel, 38th fl. Worked there for much of 2004.
Man... I booked Premier Hotel -CABIN- Shinjuku for 5 nights coming up in February. It was $49 a night so hopefully it's almost as good as Shinagawa Prince Hotel which is almost double the nightly rate that I paid for my stay!
Hi! That’s good you got a hotel for $49 a night as many hotel prices are going up now! You are staying at the heart of the city and it seems easy to leave the hotel quickly and get around Tokyo. Thank you for letting me know!! :)
I checked the hotel site but it's not a capsule hotel. So he is good. He got a hotel room. :) "The First Cabin" that you sometimes see in Japan is a capsule hotel though. 👍
Thanks alot for this video again! I book 5 days Richmond Hotel in Oshiage, sumida city. Any recommendations? I might book here for my last couple of days.
Hello Kevin. Hello Kevin, The Richmond in Oshiage sounds good! Right under the Skytree, and has access to two subways, plus a great access from Narita that you arrive. Shinagawa Prince is a good location, but when you are going to Disney, it takes about 40 min via Tokyo station. It's a great place if you get plan including breakfast at "Hapuna". :) Let me know if you have any questions.
@@tokyokenchan the main tower. However, they were kind enough to accept my cancellation and gave a full refund. I’m glad that was not my 1st stay hotel in Japan otherwise i could have bad experience. I have moved to Metropolitan Haneda Airport Hotel. That way better!
2:40 "Everything looks a little old fashioned, but in a good way". I agree!.
I’m so glad you agreed! :)
Thanks for this video. Will be staying there next week and needed to learn more about the Hotel.

you booked a capsule, not a normal hotel.
capsules are normal at 40~60 range
@@emilia2411 Lol... I definitely didn't book a capsule hotel. What a weird thing to assume when I literally said the Hotel is called CABIN Shinjuku...

1:20 Thank you for this video! I stayed this hotel many years ago. Surprisingly, it still looks exactly the same!
Oh that's great! Did you like the hotel?
Thanks for the video 😊
Thank you for watching again! :)

Any japanese restaurants recommendations by this hotel?
Any recommended ABNB for 2 nearby Shinagawa Station?
I'm here now 😊
I hope you are having a good time!
😂Thank you, I almost got scammed by my phone's application
It was the worst hotel ever. Dated and smelly. Never recommend it to anyone
Oh no. Which building did you stay?
