  • Alexey Molchanov is a multiple world record holding freediver and co-founder of the Molchanovs, a freediving education system: molchanovs.com/
They also develop freediving equipment - the suit and the fins he wears are all by Molchanovs.
When Alexey is not training, teaching or developing new products, he likes to explore underwater and take photos. Here he is playing around in Lighthouse, Dahab, a popular freediving destination in Egypt.
Music is "Beyond here" by Salt of the Sound.

Yes, there are freedivers who have gone deeper: Herbert Nitsch went to 214 meters - on a sled, brought back up by a balloon. But in the self-propelled category of freediving, Alexey is the deepest, with a dive to 130 meters.

Absolutely incredible... I wish I could freedive deeper than 20 meters... sadly descending head-down makes equalizing almost impossible for me, despite having practiced with Andrea Zuccari's already years ago, numerous more modern tutorials on improving equalizing techniques and being able to Frenzel head-up :(

try and design a suit that won't let any water in, has no zippers, is hydrodynamic, and keeps us warm - it's a natural consequence of the needs of a freediver and the characteristics of the material. On certain suits and on certain bodies it just looks more pronounced.

Guillaume is a very good freediver, one of the best for sure. His deepest successful dive was 126 meters, Alexey has done 130.
