Ecovacs Ozmo T8 AIVI with Auto Empty Bin (Amazon): geni.us/Yh1AYB
IS ECOVACS DEEBOT N8 PRO Robot Vacuum cleaner compatible with the Ecovacs Auto Empty Station for Deebot Ozmo T8 AIVI ?
Wanted to say thanks for your review! I started to have problem after problem with my Roborock S6MaxV (wouldn't vacuum the middle of my living room because of electromagnetic fields detected and the issues with the side brush getting tangled in my higher pile carpet).
I picked up the T8+ from Bestbuy today and it has NONE of the issues the Roborock did. It never got tangled in the high pile carpet and it ignored the EMF area. Navigation is pretty good (I prefer the roborock's cleaner pattern) but it seems great at avoiding cables and things in its way with the new sensors. Thanks again for making videos that help us make better choices. I already printed my return label for the S6MaxV .
THANK YOU!! Awesome content as usual and so timely. Please keep posting more updates to Instagram, loved getting a sneak peek of what you’re working on
Great review totally helpful
I just purchased the t8+ today and on the first run omg the mapping blew away the roomba s9+ can’t wait to do more testing and eventually put out a review of my own
what a vacuum channel, man everything really is on youtube. Super nice detailed video, thanks!
I appreciate that!
Just bought a T8 aivi last week and I LURVE it 😍 no more manual vacuuming which was very tedious. There were many times when i was too lazy to vacuum and the floor became very dirty in 3 days. After the T8 made its first run, i fell in love. The floor was so clean!! For the past 7 days, i have been testing the remote cleaning via the app, mopping, scrubber. The home has never been cleaner!! Next the auto empty station, thanks for the review.m👍
Just got mines it’s amazing 🤩 game changer for sure
Loved this video!
If you could, please do a video very similar to this one, but on the vibrating mop pad feature. It would be great to see legitimate tests done to see how much better the T8 is with the vibrating pad and whether or not it's worth picking one up.
Thanks,
You rock!
I just got the Deebot Ozmo 920. It’s so awesome!
Does it suggest changing the dust bag when it is actually full, or just by a count of 30 times that it has emptied the dustbin?
I own the Shark IQ, the new NeeBot NoMo, and this T8. I also own 4 cats and a Lab. The New Self Emptying Bin on the T8 DOES NOT always get all the hair out as you stated! Great job! It gets it out probably 75% of the time. You didn’t mention the Motorized Mopping attachment! 😂 it works pretty darn good on the T8
Thanks for this. I bought the new T9+ which landed here last week and debated HEAVILY about the T8 AIVI instead. In Australia there was $400 difference with the T9+ coming in cheaper with the Auto Empty station included. I'm really happy with the decision as it mappped really well, sucks (in a good way) more than the T8 and has all the features the T8 AIVI has that I require. I do not need a camera and microphone on my vacuum, so I can't see any difference. Look forward to your review.
I love your channel. I would legit buy Vacuum Wars merch
Can you help me?
I have the 950 version of this robot, and very often it starts making a completely new map. Then I have to carry it back to restore the map. But this sometimes doesn’t work, and I have lost the map a few times.. And the I have to pick EVERYTHING off the floor again to make a new map.. There’s no save map function, so you alway can recall it.. and it feels random when it looses the map. Sometimes it’s when I pick it up to clean it..
Are the newer versions better in this regard?
Hi. Thanks for the video... but how do we know when the dust bag is full? thanks in advance?
I think a really good testing metric on robot vacuums would be its ability to navigate on premium synthetic carpets being installed in a lot of new homes like Mohawk Smart Strand. The Roomba s9+ was completely unable to navigate on my carpet while the i7+ has no problem at all. I'd be very interested to seeing the deep cleaning ability on this type of carpet by robot and even upright/cordless vacuums.
I really hope they come out with more bagless options and with washable filters. I don't what to be stuck with reoccurring costs!
Yeah that why I got the shark over the others and the price
Reoccurring costs are annoying but know what's worse? How about in 2-4 years when they want you to buy the latest vacuum + empty station, all they have to do is stop selling the bags and the station becomes worthless, I mean you could argue it's fine if they used some standard bag for an upright vacuum that some other company also uses since those will likely stick around for years, but there's no guarantee with these devices though.
n o how often do you wash the filters in the Shark iQ?
vgamesx1 as far as I can tell all iRobot self empty bases use the same bag so not worries about discontinue bags.
@@iamdenislara once a month
I also have another tip involving the pet hair. Get a second bin base and place it on the opposite side of the house (or level for multiple storied homes). Some of these vacuums, like irobot, will keep sucking while it is going back to empty the bin. I find having one on each side is less likely to allow clogging due to this.
So how is it now ? Is it better I’m tossing up between i7 plus with the deebot t8 aivi
Really appreciate your reviews @vacuumwars Any issues with the mapping feature with your T8? I am just about ready to buy it, but it seems like many users are reporting that issue?
Hi Vacuum Wars, what about the cleaning of the hepa filter which is recommended to be cleaned twice a week? Does the auto empty cater to that as well?
So when the robot is full while cleaning it doesn’t stop ? It try’s to keep going to complete its run ? Or does it know when it’s full and return home to empty ?
I wish along with the auto empty, it would also change to the mop pad attachment and add/change/empty the water tank. Hahaha
I love the kitty!
Me too!
Hello, my T8 has been having seriou problems to docking into the empty station this week, did you experience something like that?
Have you noticed an improvement at clearing pet hair from the auto empty bin since the latest firmware update. May be a coincidence but volumes of hair that I thought would get stuck (would do pre update) are now clearing.
I love your reviews! Thank you so much! How does this do when it comes to cleaning corners? Is there one you recommend for corner cleaning?
I feel bad, corner cleaning fell off my radar a long time ago and I don't test it anymore. Generally speaking, I have never seen a robot vacuum do perfectly with it, and even the ones that say they are good at it are about the same as the others.
Nice video bro
Hi how did the emptying system do with the the cheerios and big cereal pieces?
My husband and I picked up a T8 on Black Friday at a ridiculously low price. I don’t think I’ve had to rescue it once, and rarely have to empty it during its daily run. It’s really quiet, and even without the auto empty bin, it’s been almost pleasant to use. Almost. Haven’t used the mop function yet. I also don’t chase it screaming like a moron like I do with our Roomba.
Hi I bought the T8Aviv that came with the auto bin but after 2mths of usage the bot could not go up the ramp of the disposable bin when the mopping pad was attached but if I undo the pad it has no problem when I contacted the company they told me to manually put it on the charging dock which to me defeats the purpose of having the automatic disposable bin!! Don’t you think they should rectify the problem instead of asking me to manually do it!? Please advise!!
The filter on the robot and auto empty, is it a hepa filter or something else because as i Know it hepa filter is really good, and are the filter washable? And where do you get the vibrating mop from?
Awwww!! It won my heart (the cats
I have never had an issue with my i7 emptying the bin. It's always empty and with the sensor it knows when to empty itself
I had a problem with it not emptying because of hair as well. In my case, I noticed a few strands of hair would try to come out each of the two sides. So I decided to put some tape over one of the holes in the dust bin. After that, it empties every time without issue. I've noticed a few grains left in the bin that may be better cleared with both doors open, but it's not enough to make any real difference.
Thanks for the tip! I found that running it a bit more frequently helps too. 3x weekly.
Really enjoy your videos, as we are looking to purchase a robot vacuum soon.
Also, your link for "favorite robot vacuum" goes straight to the shark navigator upright
Wow gud👍👍
How does it do on corner or near the wall.
Which would you chose, the 960 or t8 aivi?
I have a deebot n8+ with the auto emptying station would the DEEBOT OZMO T8 AIVI work with it?
Is it hepa filter on the robot and cleanbase like the roombas or What is it?
You should check out the new T8. The 3D sensors work better than the camera in the T8 AIVI, and even though it’s cheaper, its navigation and obstacle avoidance is even better than the T8 AIVI. I bought both and decided to keep the T8 over the T8 AIVI. Loving it so far.
But without a camera, you can't see your cats at home :(
Could you please review the difference between Ecovac Osmo T8 Regular and T8 AIVI. I would like to know specifically if there is any difference in power / cfm between the 2 or is it just the camera on the AIVI. Thanks.
Can you use the auto-empty trash with the regular charge? Like one base on the main floor and the other base on the second floor? Let’s say when he’s done on the main floor you pick it up from the base bring him upstairs stair but it on the base and he start by himself?
Pretty sure you can. I bought a second non emptying charger base, and I have used it on a different floor. Realize, the t8 can only save two floor maps.
Ive a long hair Persian & an exotic Persian & I've just purchased this robot vac & auto empty station to replace my D79 auto empty deebot! I'm hoping a future software update (?) will have the vac empty the cat hair *before* auto emptying faults out on its only freaking job... emptying bots bin!!
Does anyone know if this channel has spoken about the upgraded mopping unit for the T8 family of vacuums?
It looks like it has a different pump and vibrates the mop pad for a deeper clean, rather than just moving it over spills.
So if I am home and running the vacuum can I stop the machine and manually empty the bin.
Can u tell use when the dyson v11 outsize come out in europe in the stores? Rn its only ony dysons website
If you tape one of the doors of the dust bin shut, could that solve the clogged hair issue?
Considering no other factor aside from how well it cleans, which robot mop cleans best, Deebot T8 aivi, Jet 240, or M6? In other words, can the T8 out mop a braava?
is this better than the n8 pro plus ?
I do like that it will clean right up beside the base station unlike Roomba's which almost seem to be afraid of their stations. With my i7+, I don't remember what the amount of debris irobot says their bags can hold, however it cleans every day. I had 5 cats at the time, and the bag lasted well over 3 months before the station's red light came on informing me the bag is now full. So i'm sure that bag will last longer then they say, unless its a smaller bag over all. Plus there's always knockoff options on Amazon for a cheaper option.
any of these auto empty robot vacs run on 110-240v recharging?
What about the price adjustment? Is it cheaper than getting the shark or irobot, or is the price the same since you have to buy auto empty bin separately?
What is the best smart vacuum cleaner robot I want to buy ?!
Can you make a video as to why it won’t detect my NEW dust bags?
Would it be possible to have the 950 model with the new bin and the autoempty station?
Compared to roomba and sharks auto empty vacuums would you put this at the top of the food chain?
Is there any alternatives for those bag filters? Such as plastic bags.
Does anyone know where to get the vacuum bags for the station from? They are sold out on the site and I can’t find them anywhere else.
Hey :) about to buy my first robot vacuum, deciding between the Roborock S6 MaxV and the Deebot T8, can I ask why you went with the T8 over the S6 for your home?
I want to know this too
@vacuumwars
@Jacob Dawson wow he is a shill and no replyy
Awesome review! I’m looking for the vacuum + auto empty dispenser because the link in your description directs me to the iRobot version and not the T8. Can you update with the link to buying the auto empty combo for the T8? Thanks in advance!
UPDATE: There is a combo option currently on Amazon, just purchased!
Do you plan to make a comparison review of the Roborock S6 max V and the Deebot T8 AIVI since they are the only bots with lidar+front camera?
so is the T8+ better or the T8 AIVI better ?
The one thing I dislike about my T8 AIVI is it has issues dividing rooms. It gives me a timeout error on Android and a error written in Mandarin on iOS. I contacted support but they were unhelpful. It's not a deal breaking issue. Overall an excellent vacuum that I bought on your recommendation.
Yeah i hear ecovacs support is average at best.
The Auto-Empty Station stopped cleaning the DEEBOT’s dustbin automatically after cleaning each time. I did see something about some Icon for auto empty but I can't find it. It did auto empty the first few times, I think a setting might have changed but I can't find it yet.
will you do a review on a vacuum cleaner with water filtration like the quantum x?
Does anyone have deebot auto empty bin where it self empties in repeated looong cycles? Like it would keep on emptying forever repeatedly hubby had to turn it off in the end coz it would go on for hours. Why does it do that?
Do you think the new Neato D8, D9 & D10 will have a future auto empty system?
I'd be really curious your thoughts on the t8 (not aivi) and the N8!
Can it work with ozmo 980 as they look similar without the ai stuff
You have issues with mapping changes especially when bedroom doors are closed? That it thinks now there is a wall even when the door is now open.
Yeah you’re posting again
yup!
@@VacuumWars hello Vaccum wars so Irobot just released a new Roomba model it's called the i3+ so I was wondering if you can do a video review please?
My auto empty function stopped working. After cleaning it announces that is is auto cleaning and has the notice in the app, but it is not actually auto emptying...Help
So how does this rate to the t8+ which is $499 now at best buy
Help.. I've contacted ecovac.. but I've already done everything they said... The problem... My robot struggles to mount the charging station.. I have to help it after it tries 3-4 times... And my auto empty bag is empty.. it makes the noise and action like it's working.. but it's not.. another thing.. I put the dust bin.. the gray one.. removed the 2 little opening covers with the key.. but when they sent me instructions.. it said be sure you install the black dust bin..????
So not mounting and not emptying to the bag...
Help!
Hello!
Is there more then one T8-model? Is there a T8 and a T8 AIVI?
Can I reuse the bags without buying new ones?
Can you do a thing on the Bissell liftoff carpet cleaner
My T8 has trouble charging, it gets halfway up the dock then goes back down and stops, this started a few weeks ago.
Hey can u please tell me what u think about Eufy Robovac G10 Hybrid....????
It shows some Gud specs but I can’t decide unless u guys give me an advice on it.
Please help out.... 🙏🏻
Need a recommendation for roborock s6 maxv vs deebot t8 avi please, on cleanliness is it actually a game changer with the bin? Which does best deep clean? Also does it have night vision?
T8 non AI can work in complete darkness, TI AI needs Light for the cameras. Both have external dust storage bin that the s6 does not have. From the reviews I have seen, T8 non AI is better than the AI. Both ecovacs automatically do not go on carpet/rugs when in mopping mode while the Roborock you have to set no go mop zones.
@@hackztor what ti ai
@Jacob Dawson got review links plz??
@Jacob Dawson what do search in the box first? Then sort
Did you have any trouble with the robot getting stuck while docking on the self-emptying bin dock?
I learned that if I run it a bit more frequently, it doesn't get hung up. 3x weekly works well for my home, pets and all.
What is the deebot t8 aivi suction power?
I had this system and love it. And thank you for the videos, they are always super well done and informative. Can you please answer this if you know! How do I know when the bag is full??? I can’t find an app notification or anything?
Good question, but I don't know, Mine is just about full, so I should know any day. I can say it holds way more than I would have thought!
@@VacuumWars Do you think that we could modify the bag so that we could empty and reuse the bags?
I'm just waiting for Roborock to get into the self-empty game.
We should all send an email to them asking for this feature
They have one but it's only available for the Asian market at the moment.
@@rockablity_hound1716 They do? What is it called?
I'm getting Roborock s6 Vmax 🤙🏼
@@adbeem Hi whats the name of the Station?
I wanted to know if it can sense liquid. I have a dog and he pee’s a lot. A bit over the padding. So it gets a bit over onto the floor.
We could just empty the bag into the trash and reuse it right? $20 for a 3 pack is a hefty subscription price.
Yeah, its a little messy to do, but I do it from time to time with other bags
here is the issue with that, eventually the bag loses its capacity to filtrate. You might get 2 or maybe 3 uses before you start smelling dust in the air every time your vacuum goes back to the base to empty.
@@VacuumWars Have you tested if the iRobot bags are interchangeable with Ecovacs? The bag covers/trays look similar. There are 3rd party bags for iRobot selling 10 pack for $20 which is definitely a better deal, wondering if they'd fit T8's station. People on Etsy are also selling reusable iRobot bags with zippers!
Yeah just use your Dyson V 11 to clean out the bag, and presto brand new preowned bag.
2vaped4u like I wrote before eventually the bag will start to leak out dust because of too many uses and going through the pressure of the suction.
I think it would be very interesting If you test dysons new cinetic big ball absolute 2. Since it claims to be the only vacuum with HEPA like behaviour, but without any filters.
Great thorough reviews, appreciate your insights :)
Have you looked into the XCLEA H30 Plus?
I know it's not released currently, but would appreciate your thoughts regarding comparing it to the Deebot T8 AIVI or similar, seems like the only thing it lacks is the auto-stop for the mopping when going onto a carpet, but apparently, the app can designate no mop zones. Overall this looks to be a much more cost-effective competitor, curious if you think it is worth the punt or to stay with the known brands like Roborock, etc who have had more time to perfect their hardware and software. Thanks in advance!
No but thanks for pointing that out. I'm making a note of it.
Hi, could you please do a comparison test including XCLEA H30 Plus from Huawei. It has the empty station too. Btw, I'm your new subscriber. Your comparison and review videos are very detailed and fun to watch. Started knowing your channel when I just bought my Deebot Ozmo 950, and looking information regarding it. And found your channel is the best one among others.
I love this vacuum, but I would love it to have a non-disposable debris container for the auto empty base.
that conttainer dont even need bag, just empty whole station lol
Any news on Narwal robot ? That seems to be a breakthrough
Samsung Navi bot was the first robot vacuum with an auto empty resume and you should definitely check it out!
ok - thanks.
It’s ok 👌
Hi is this better then roborock s5max or not bc i am looking for a mop and vacuum in one plus the self empty is extra so which one is better roborock s5max or deebot t8
I think the t8 is better
Vacuum Wars oh ok thank you i will consider the t8 bit it is more expensive
How does the Deebot T8 AIVI compare to the Deebot T8 (without AIVI)? Really need your opinion as am looking at T8 without AIVI. Basically in terms of navigation and performance (suction and cleaning).
Which one did you end you buying?
I always get the "unable to empty the dust bin" error. I switched filters and bags and even took the whole thing apart to check if there were clogs. Any advice?
If I run mine a little more frequently it does better.
@@VacuumWars after all my troubleshooting i think the problem is that most my debris is dog hair. I have a border collie and either the springs on the bottom doors are too tight or the dog hair doesn't have any weight too it. I could be wrong I'll keep messing with it untill I figure it out. Thanks for responding!
@@VacuumWars Mine runs daily at 0900 when i am at work and the kids at school. I wonder if my floors are just that dirty that i need to set it in 2 phases to clean half the house at one time and half at the other. Also is it normal to not want to empty even if the dust bin is itself empty? I can dump what is in there out and hit the empty bin button and it still gives me the same error. I've taken the whole thing apart and there are no clogs. :S
Hey! When are you gonna review the new shark vertex line?!
I've never click so fast
Lol thanks!
@@VacuumWars HI what's difference T8, T8aivi, T8+, T8pro?
Steve Thea T8 AIVI came out like 6 months ago and has artificial intelligence and a camera for small obstacle avoidance, plus has a home patrol feature where it can drive around your house and send you pictures and video to check on things. The T8 was just released in the US and has 3D sensors instead of a camera for small obstacle avoidance. It’s cheaper than the AIVI and doesn’t have the patrol / video features, but it’s actually better at avoiding small obstacles. The T8+ is just the new T8 with the auto-empty station bundled. The T8 Pro isn’t sold in the US, but I think it’s just the T8 for the Japanese market.
@@stevethea5250 T8 uses cross aimed lasers with an IR sensor in the middle to scan and detect 3D objects to avoid down to 1mm. The AIVI uses a single camera to analyze and avoid objects down to (I think) 3-5mm. The T8+ comes with the self empty docking station but only the regular mop attachment while the T8Pro comes with the robot and the vibrating mop attachment. That's the best of my understanding! Hope this helps!
I personally picked up the T8+ from Bestbuy from $660 after taxes and it's amazing!
I totally got the AIVI version.. my cats are going to be stalked 😆
