I still have one of these, same year, same color, and love it, went camping, slept on it with friends, went up and down the state and has never let me down, and I feel very safe in it. Love to see someone treating it like a jewel, which I think it is.
I’m still driving my 2005 Toyota Sienna at well over 300 thousand reliable miles. Kids have grown up have their own vehicles but I still love the Sienna not going to trade her in anytime soon.
I feel the same way. I have 3 Siennas. A 2000 XLE, 2005 LE and just recently got a 2024 XSE. I love them all. Both the 2000 and 2005 have about 150,000 miles.I have no plans to get rid of them. They run great and are so reliable. Ill probably let my son who will be getting his learners permit soon drive the 2000.
Minivans honestly are both sleeper hits and (once upon a time) extremely popular. SUV's have taken the public eye, but consider this about minivans vs SUV's, sports coupes, trucks, and sedans: They're not lookers... so they have some of the lowest theft or even break-ins. Lower cost than SUV's in many comparisons. Lower center of gravity, smoother ride quality than SUVs or Trucks. With the seats folded or removed, more (weather protected) cargo hauling room than a Ford F150 Sliding doors = easier access in tighter spaces, easier loading of containers and wide things, no door dings in 2-car garages. More fun for road trips and spontaneous car camping adventures than sedans or sports cars (at least, when distance and views are the goal more than windy roads and acceleration). More likely to make friends and earn favors in exchange for hauling help. Hybrid minivans can get like 35 mpg city/highway fuel efficiency. So, don't think of them as an inevitable box for family needs, think of them for having "So much space for activities!!" My dad had Fords and Chryslers, and they were like affordable land yachts!
You hit the nail right on the head! These are the exact same reasons why I love my Siennas (2000 XLE, 2005 LE and 2024 XSE). Each one is amazing in its own ways and I have no plans to get rid of my older ones. You can't beat their reliability.
My aunt used to have a late 1990s Ford Windstar van. You never see those around anymore but still see these dozens of these Siennas on the road running perfect. It just shows the great products Toyota makes.
My dad used to drive 2000 Sienna LE in Desert Sand Mica. This video brings me back lots of childhood memories. From everyday drop off to school to family road trip to Las Vegas, we loved our Sienna.
honestly some of my most fond memories as a young kid were being driven around to tennis lessons, family dinners, and sleepovers around in my best friend's new (1999-2000 at the time) parents plain jane white toyota sienna. it was always a treat to get picked up and then subsequently fight for one of the two captain's chairs between my best friend and his older brother
Buddy, I want to congratulate you on this awesome masterpiece. I not only loved the work you did detailing this old van, but also loved your production and editing work. Goes to show how much you can do with just creativity, a bunch of tools, a phone with a 4K camera and a lot of willpower. This 25 years old dude from Southeast Brazil thanks you from the bottom of his heart. You brought me back so many memories from my childhood, since the times I was 6 and played Ridge Racer Type 4 on PS1 around 2005 thinking it was the best thing in the world, to the current days where I work on my old Junkers. Your garage background and slow music remind me so much of Ridge Racer Type 4 first menus where you'd select your teams and car makers that I almost cried from the nostalgia. Since I'm not American I don't really get the part about wet sanding the old van being silly, to me any car being detailed carefully like you did is worth praise regardless of make, price range or overall condition. You weren't kidding on the title when you said I'd Want to buy a Sienna after this video, you really made me want one, this was the best 90's car ad ever! (If you get the joke). I also got the vibe of those Need For Speed Underground 2 menus with this kind of calm music sounding like "Riders on the Storm" and such. The Transformation even reminded me of Need For Speed Underground 1 intro where the Mitsubishi Eclipse goes through a mechanical and visual transformation. Please do make more of those videos with mostly music and restoring and less talking. I'd love to watch that. You just got a new subscriber. If I ever get to visit America, I want to shake your hand for everything you did for your subscribers and myself. Going back to my childhood watching this really made my year. Thank You so much!

My mom bought a loaded out denim blue sienna new in 99’. Kept it till 2019. 212k miles the trans gave out and she junked it. Terrific little van. It’s cool to see a couple of these vans getting some love instead of being driven to the ground, most of em are abused and un maintained. We took meticulous care of ours while we had it.
I have a 2000 Sienna XLEthat is the Denim Blue color, too. It has just over 150,000 miles on it. It still runs great with only some minor mechanical and electrical issues. I have no plans to get rid of it. Most likely my 15 year old son will drive it.
These first gens are truly comfy vans. My '00 has almost 350k miles on it and it's a joy to take on back roads. You get a good deal of body roll on sharp curves yet the suspension makes you think you're in a Cadillac. Very soft and graceful. Awesome job bringing this one back to life! She's really slick.
My parents have a top trim 2005 Toyota Avalon sitting in the garage with 350k miles. I've been thinking about restoring it back to great condition. This video might be the motivation I need to fix that girl up.
This is the first of your channel I’ve seen. I found this on a FB group and what a find! I would like to see a parts list/links and maybe some more in-depth process videos. There is a small group of us 1st gen Sienna owners that are starving for this. Either way, thanks! Subscribed in the hope of more similar content
My uncle is on his 3rd Sienna and he loves it because it is reliable, practical, useful, and fuel efficient and the first Sienna he had was a silver 2006, the second Sienna he had was a 2011, and his current Sienna is a 2015 ish Sienna and whenever he moved to America, most of his vehicles were either Toyota’s or Honda’s but he had some Mercedes vehicles
I still have a 98 Sienna with like 230K miles. Had it for like 15 years now but is showing its age but will keep it until falls apart in pieces. Like this guy's shop that looks more like a lab and a photo/video studio. Spotless floor, not a drop of oil there. My deepest respect for you my man!
The YT algorithm knows what I wanna see LOL. Japanese cars from this era are some of my favorite cars on the road. I'm not gonna pretend they're better than modern cars, simplicity is a double edged sword, but maybe it's just nostalgia. Maybe the chill easygoing styling. Maybe the accessibility and affordability, the reliability and that comes with less complexity of design be it for emissions or safety. I can't be 100% sure, but what I can say is it's nice to see an old Sienna get some love, AND all the people in the comments as happy as me. Great video, subbed
I've got a 2002 XLE with 298,000 miles on it! Has the 1MZ-FE with VVT-i and its a great engine. Basic maintenance will keep these vans running forever. This model is the best Sienna Toyota ever made for sure.
I have a 2000 sienna and love it, it has 200k miles on it and running like a champ. No major issues and easy fixes only, synthetic oil since day one and boy it's still pulling strong.
Jokes on you, I've *_ALWAYS_* wanted a Toyota Sienna! This video does nothing more than affirm my appreciation for such an automobile! (And this is one hell of a video too!)
I just bought a 98, same colors. 163K miles, very clean. Always been a van guy! Never had a Sienna, so started watching vids. Great presentation video. Cool to see a guy focused, not i9n a rush but gettin er done...
It’s not fast but the sound the v6 intake makes puts a smile on my face every time. Parts is easy to find at junk yards. I’ll keep mine for as long as possible.
Sienna Mane back at it again with another banger video! This was wild. I don't think I would bother clicking on, let alone watching, a nearly 40-minute video about a 24-year-old minivan, but I knew it was gonna be done right, and it was interesting, to say the least.
Brand new! Makes me wanna clean up my wife’s car for her. Proud of you and thank you for reminding me of the importance of remembering to take care of old things!!
Got a 99 a few years back as an extra car if I need to haul stuff around. 1 owner 270k miles still runs strong. Did the plugs a few months back, bit of a pain but not bad. No leaks, clean interior, A/C blows cold. Only issues I had was window regulator, a door lock actuator and door handles that break. All easy fixes usually like $20-40 to fix. I still see so many on the road. It even looks like it still has the original alternator. Always starts even after sitting for weeks.
Bro. This was therapeutic! I really enjoyed watching this and how nice the 1st Gen Sienna came out in the end. Not bad at all for being a 23 year old car assuming it’s a 2000 model year. I’m a New fan bro
I got one kid next kid is coming in July, definitely would snag a Sienna. I borrowed a 2009 Sienna for a weekend and it was clapped out but still got us around in comfort and a/c 😂
Great work on this. I grew up around these first gen Siennas and have always loved them. I hardly ever see them anymore! Thanks for bringing this one back to life!
this is the first video I've watch from this creator and it's nice to see that it's not a god aweful channel explaining for 30 mins how to loosen a bolt just for 3 ad reads. Thank you sir!
I used to live in Fredericksburg and when I saw the Motorcycle sign I knew exactly where that was. Small world. My parents had a Sienna when I was growing up, that the best generation van. Nice restore!
I just bought a 1999 and this video was in my previous watched history- so I’d say you won. lol I love it, the owner kept a very strict maintenance service schedule and I was looking over it and it has a power steering leak and it needs new rear brakes. It’s been intensely well taken care of. I hope that I can love it just as much as they did. I’ve never seen someone stand in one spot and look at a car for a moment or two and know exactly what was going through their mind. They raised their kids with it, took long road trips with it and according to the mileage it’s been driven to the moon and could probably go back without much fuss. I’m kind of floored and awe struck by how insanely well built these vans are. I just got it today so we’ll see how it goes- but oddly enough, I trust it. Put full coverage on it and now just gotta get the bugs worked out. This was literal therapy watching this again as a new owner of a now 25 year old Toyota Minivan. I just got it and I am absolutely smitten with it. I probably did scare the daylights out of the owners during the test drive though. lol 😂 Greetings from Colorado Springs.
Came for a review on the 2023 Sienna. Stayed for the 90s boom bap instrumentals. Fell in love with the art this man performed on the car. All around great video bro!!
My parents bought my 1998 Sienna, used in 2001 with 60,000 miles on it - it's been my daily driver since 2016 and I currently use it to drive to university. It's such a hidden gem of a car, I can't imagine driving another car. I still remember getting driven to pre-school in it
Minivans are top tier, I bought an 05 Grand Caravan and it's such a smooth ride. The seats are comfy, the vehicle is floaty in the way it accelerates, brakes, and handles and they can haul so much due to an insane amount of storage space!
love this video. this gentleman got his game going on. this guy is so good at what he does it looks so flawless as he does it. the love that he put into it, WOW!
Man that was great. Such a beauty with the painted bumpers and all the touch ups. Great job man. Glad to hear you did the timing belt because that’s what I was thinking about the whole time I was watching the video I didn’t read that you had replaced it until after the video was over ha ha ha. I had two of these a 2001 XLe with leather sunroof and terrible power doors. It was the same color green then the next year in 2020 I bought another 2001 same green but an LE. This one was my favorite. I bought it from the Toyota dealership from the head service mechanic who happened to be a 60 year old Japanese man. It was his personal vehicle. He had gone through it top to bottom just like you did I love that van loved it so much But times change and I look back and have regret of ever selling it

I really enjoyed the music selections. I subscribed and I'm going to go watch some of your other videos. By the way, I drive a 1994 Corolla.
I have so many questions when I watch these videos. How did he learn to do such high quality detailing, restoration, mechanic work, and on top of all that, video editing. Why is he putting so much work into an old Toyota minivan? Is it his? Will he keep it or is it for a customer? Is there something about this old van that he really likes and has been wanting to restore one for a while? All I do know is that his work is immaculate. It is the pinnacle of thoroughness in your work that I’ve never even gotten close to reaching. I do great detail work, but only to the average person. Everytime I detail a car and the person says “wow it looks incredible, it looks as good as when it was new!”, I want to say back “I am not a pro, there are guys out there that would make me look like a monkey with my Autozone buffer and Walmart detailing chemicals.” 😂 This is the level I aspire to get to one day. But the amount of time, learning, and resources in terms of equipment and a shop between me and this guy is immense. It’ll be a decade at least before I get there
There’s only one person on RUclips that could get me to watch 37 minutes of them working on a minivan. Well done 👏
My thoughts too! I've never liked vans however... We have Aiden over here making them look aesthetically very pleasing
Same here

I’m still driving my 2005 Toyota Sienna at well over 300 thousand reliable miles. Kids have grown up have their own vehicles but I still love the Sienna not going to trade her in anytime soon.
I feel the same way. I have 3 Siennas. A 2000 XLE, 2005 LE and just recently got a 2024 XSE. I love them all. Both the 2000 and 2005 have about 150,000 miles.I have no plans to get rid of them. They run great and are so reliable. Ill probably let my son who will be getting his learners permit soon drive the 2000.
31:10 Hot dang! You just rewinded 20years off that sienna. You gave that Sienna got some Grand Turismo 4 treatment. ❤
I can't believe I willingly sat here for 37 minutes and watched a 200k mile 90s minivan get detailed.
I've never been a fan of vans at all however this thing looks crispy af man!! Great job as always!!!
You say that until you drive one 😎🤝🏻 and thank you so much!!
Or have someone drive you around in the second row captain seats... UNMATCHED
@@biglefty08 if I have a van looking this fresh for sure I'll whip it around myself lol
Minivans honestly are both sleeper hits and (once upon a time) extremely popular. SUV's have taken the public eye, but consider this about minivans vs SUV's, sports coupes, trucks, and sedans:
They're not lookers... so they have some of the lowest theft or even break-ins.
Lower cost than SUV's in many comparisons.
Lower center of gravity, smoother ride quality than SUVs or Trucks.
With the seats folded or removed, more (weather protected) cargo hauling room than a Ford F150
Sliding doors = easier access in tighter spaces, easier loading of containers and wide things, no door dings in 2-car garages.
Them mats set that thing off boy! Had me gettin up of the sofa. Love that color, new set of Dougie's too, god dang man!
I might be a bit strange, but I've always loved that generation Sienna. i remember it being a very smooth driver. So practical.
The tunes, camera work and the finished product are on point! 👍
Soooo satisfying 😁👌
Thank you so much for the kind words and expression Paulo!! I’m so glad you enjoyed the video, I put a lot of time into the van, filming, and editing it! Thank you so much 🤍
@@AidanTemplin Oh, Thank YOU for taking the time to reply. This alone means the world to me, a mere subscriber. Your effort was surely appreciated somewhere in the world, never forget that! My best regards from Brazil.
You should give an LS430 love like this bro, one of the most deserving Toyota's ever made
You did an amazing job with the restoration of this Sienna!! Reminds me of the time my dad owned an ‘05 Sienna when I was younger.
Juat bought one from a 93 year old man. You did everything I need to do to this one. Thanks!
This was seriously therapeutic to watch. Subbed. Please more content like this on older Toyotas if possible!
My grandpas 01 has 570k on original motor and transmission. He finally gave it to me, now I just use it as a daily.
I have a 2000 XLE and she is so comfortable. Her seats are amazing.
My parents have a top trim 2005 Toyota Avalon sitting in the garage with 350k miles. I've been thinking about restoring it back to great condition. This video might be the motivation I need to fix that girl up.
You can't polish a turd.
This is wonderful. Just bought one early this month. I will do exactly what I did
This is the first of your channel I’ve seen. I found this on a FB group and what a find! I would like to see a parts list/links and maybe some more in-depth process videos. There is a small group of us 1st gen Sienna owners that are starving for this. Either way, thanks! Subscribed in the hope of more similar content
I second this! I have a 2000 XLE and would love more videos like this.
Very cool! Muscle cars are fine, but minivans have my respect for all they do. Thanks for bringing this beauty back to life :)
Great work Aidan! Bringing new life back to cars of all shapes and sizes. The Sienna's need some love too!
My 2000 Sienna CE went 15 years trouble free and my wife finally ran it into the ground in 2021 with 274k miles
I've been contemplating an older toyota sienna for a while now. And this guy just convinced me to get one. I don't even want one anymore, I NEED one.
Awesome work You are indeed the Siena Man!
I have a 2000 sienna and love it, it has 200k miles on it and running like a champ. No major issues and easy fixes only, synthetic oil since day one and boy it's still pulling strong.
Aidan, that Sienna turned out amazing! Nice touch with the gold bumpers and rocker trim, it looks much better! 🔥
Thank you so much man!!
Great work, love when these beat up daily’s get some exotic car loving!
Jokes on you, I've *_ALWAYS_* wanted a Toyota Sienna! This video does nothing more than affirm my appreciation for such an automobile! (And this is one hell of a video too!)
Clicked on this fully expecting a 37 minute dialogue that I could listen to in the background...
...16 minutes later, I'm glued to the screen :D
I just bought a 98, same colors. 163K miles, very clean. Always been a van guy! Never had a Sienna, so started watching vids. Great presentation video. Cool to see a guy focused, not i9n a rush but gettin er done...
It’s not fast but the sound the v6 intake makes puts a smile on my face every time. Parts is easy to find at junk yards. I’ll keep mine for as long as possible.
My parents had a CE trim of this generation back in the day. The two tone Symphony Editions were always nice looking.
Love it. You sir have some major skills when it comes to the automotive world. Keep it up.
Bro. This was therapeutic! I really enjoyed watching this and how nice the 1st Gen Sienna came out in the end. Not bad at all for being a 23 year old car assuming it’s a 2000 model year. I’m a New fan bro
That paint came out absolutely insane! Great job Aidan! Glad you randomly showed up in my feed, I subscribed!
High key jealous of your garage. And the cars in it
this is the first video I've watch from this creator and it's nice to see that it's not a god aweful channel explaining for 30 mins how to loosen a bolt just for 3 ad reads. Thank you sir!
Hell yeah, thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed!
We need more of these old beater resto's!
Yep...you're right, now I want THAT exact SIenna ! Nice job man, what a beauty, DIBBS !
I used to live in Fredericksburg and when I saw the Motorcycle sign I knew exactly where that was. Small world. My parents had a Sienna when I was growing up, that the best generation van. Nice restore!
I just bought a 1999 and this video was in my previous watched history- so I’d say you won. lol
I love it, the owner kept a very strict maintenance service schedule and I was looking over it and it has a power steering leak and it needs new rear brakes.
I probably did scare the daylights out of the owners during the test drive though. lol 😂
Greetings from Colorado Springs.
This is amazing 😭😭 I hope you have a wonderful ownership!!
Most memorable vehicle in the early 2000s. My friend had one in high school and they were spacious and quick lol
You made that van look so clean, I want it lol. My mom had this exact van when I was in high school. Great video.
32:00 had my jaw droppin, nice work man!
nice to see the old family car getting the love it deserves
love this video. this gentleman got his game going on. this guy is so good at what he does it looks so flawless as he does it. the love that he put into it, WOW!
He had gone through it top to bottom just like you did I love that van loved it so much But times change and I look back and have regret of ever selling it
What do you drive now?
I wish every car I have and will have, were this shade of green. Two tone goes hard as well!
Killer job and killer video Aidan! Thank you for sharing!
It’s a beautiful green! especially now with the champagne two tone! And thank you so much!
My goodness, finally a Sienna that we can see in all of its glory
Honestly thought he was gonna drop the minivan on some killer set of wheels, with the amount of detail work that went in to this project.
My 2000 sienna makes me so happy. I love the smoothe ride and big inside for people and. Cargo. I plan to keep it forever. Currently 142,000 miles. Jeff in Minnesota
Honestly amazing with how simple that thing is. Ik it’s a Toyota but you weren’t lying, I want one!
I'm a big fan of Sienna. This video deserve a million likes.
My family had 2000 Sienna CE in tan that was driven for over 15 years. At the end when you showed the interior shot of you driving with the camera in the backseat that gave me major nostalgia. Same exact view my sister and I had for long road trips :)
Great video! I am an owner of a 2002 Sienna LE and still in great conditions.... 250,000 miles and counting..
I enjoyed this video and the amazing transformation.
Well I already wanted a Sienna... didn't expect to watch a whole video without talking, but it was mesmerizing and it's helping to balance out the Scotty Kilmer videos I watched earlier 😂 Very relaxing vibes, enjoy seeing you work.
I have a '99 Sienna, this is encouraging for fixing all of the tiny oil leaks, etc
My first vehicle as a 16 year old. Shag carpet and all. Wonderful reliability :)
I've got the exact same year and color '99 Sienna in Green/ tan. 219000 miles. Running perfect! I love this van!!!
I still have our 99 Sienna with only 110K, I will finally retire next year and planning on driving it all over then. My wife’s only car and she wouldn’t want to give it up. That 3.0L 1mz-fe non vvti is one of the best Toyota ever produced.
Beautiful
i drove my mom's sienna during high school, its the ultimate hot box stoner-mobile. nothing has come close to beating it since
this is literally the best video ever, I need more content like this of just repairing and restoring a car that no one else would think to restore, love it!
I found your RUclips after seeing you detall the Century. Saw all the stanced cars looking mint!! Then watch a video of you detailing a Sienna. I was not dissapointed. Nice work man 🙂
This video did not make me want a Toyota Sienna. I already wanted a Toyota Sienna. What this video did make me want was to make better videos. What a great video. This was a labor of love. I really enjoyed the music selections. I subscribed and I'm going to go watch some of your other videos. By the way, I drive a 1994 Corolla.
Thanks. This was therapeutic... Never found working on car so soothing and relaxing.
It’ll be a decade at least before I get there
The first pull up scene looks exactly like my sequoia! Color, light and all!
Driving away into the sunset at the end with the seats leaned back. What a vibe.
