Yes, I've always said that before kids graduate from high school or even college, they should be required to spend at least a month or two in a different country so that they could 1) see how good they have it in their home country where they have a house, car, schools with expensive sports teams, band; clean streets, and they live in a country where we have things like LOTS of job opportunities despite this economy w/ minimum wage, over time pay, or being able to getting paid at all and laws agsinst discrimination, etc. vs. other countries where many people don't have these luxuries. On the opposite side 2) kids could learn how other countries do things and incorporate some of those ideas into their lives. For example, they could learn how more kids THEIR age or younger could play an instrument well, or have other skills simply because such kids work hard, take things more seriously and don't give up. Some kids (and even adults) would never learn these types of things if they don't travel and see these things for themselves.

I completely agree with everything you said here. It’s really easy to judge the world when you haven’t been to see much of it. Plus I think any problem becomes easier with a better problem solving skill. I’d love to see more young kids venturing out of what’s comfortable

@@mambokambo Agreed, there's so much to see and like you said, there's so much to learn from other people and other cultures!

Yeah, I really think that’s the only difference between us and them (as far as circumstances we can control anyway) I hope you get out there and travel more if you haven’t already

I used to travel in 🇵🇪, sometimes alone, others with my mom. Cuzco was magical!
