There are times I come out of a game and need to breathe cause my heartrate increases for no reason. I can't tell if it's stress and the game was intense or if it's just beginners anxiety but I understand the pain.
I don't play tank often but when I do I feel their pain when the enemies know how to coordinate attacks on you, it gets overwhelming
I've been playing this game for years and there are still moments and games that are super intense! overwatch is incredibly intense. there's so much happening and so many things to keep track of ALL THE TIME. it's crazy.

He's in the exact rank he belongs, which is good! He plays well, he deserves gold, and with how he plays he could easily rank up to plat if he improves on the issues Emongg mentioned.

the first minute of this game is like a dream. Everything was slow, you feel like you are spectating and somehow get 2k out of it
Actually, if you stand on high ground you can drop healing station down to whomever is below. Say, you as a Soldier and Orisa are alone in overtime or something, and obviously you don't want to drop down from your good spot, but you know that Orisa could need the heal... What do you do? Go to the edge and place it and it will fall down on your Orisa. Surprisingly useful tech to throw a brewski down to your horse (yes, Grillmaster skin).
Can we just take a min to appreciate this guy on 2nd point attack and just landing SO MANY shots consecutively. Like, look at that rocket on the Ashe. Then HE FOLLOWS UP.

DUDE, I feel this. When I get a few close games in a row I gotta take a break. They can be taxing on your body and concentration, especially I imagine, if you're as out of shape as I am atm. I've even said as much in game chat and people on both teams have been like "FR".
Nothing like having a hugely intense game and then losing btw, still draining if you win but man do they feel awful to lose.
I don't think out of shape really applies I feel like it's more mental strain

My 18 year old brother doesnt get why i only play 2-3 hours it is mentally draining to play haha perk of aging and im only on my 20s 😅

i was playing ow with my friend and i realized i hadn’t seen her use like any of her abilities and i asked abt it and she was like “oh yeah i dont use them i changed the key binds to ones i cant reach so that i could put melee there instead”…WHAAAAAT 😭💀 she also plays with her sound completely off and never uses her ult ☹️

if you wanted to give this friend a holiday gift this year, an mmo mouse would be great for them. mmo mice have 12 buttons on the side which make them great for ow. you can have easy access to useful comm lines, melee, and other things. you can find inexpensive ones online, I think my redragon one was $30 or less.

Honestly I completely get this person. Im a person who gets easily overwhelmed which was difficult when I first started playing. Gotten kinda used to it now but even still, after intense games I often come out shivering and shaking like im the middle of the arctic.

I had to make an abrupt switch from PC to console and decided to try comp for the first time and somehow got Gold 1 and constantly get overwhelmed. I can only play a few games at a time and have nobody to play with since all my friends are on PC.

Try to notice when you get overwhelmed. the 11 minute mark is a perfect example. The ash pushes on you next thing you know you cant hit a shot to save your life and mercey is chillin no worries instead of pulling the pistol out in 1V2 situation.
That mercy was afk as hell, didn't heal at all, just pure damage buff 😂 didn't heal at all

the enemy lucio kind of sucked, it was lucio mercy for a good chunk of the match which is not a great team matchup since both of them have unreliable healing, the lucio was not being a DPS, he was not bouncing back and forth as a sort of dive support, he was not being an annoying gnat, i don't think he was being a taxi, he was just sort of there

I quit Overwatch 1 when I realized how boring the meta is: Both teams run to the chokepoint 99% of the time to have a shootout, then the team that gets ults first makes a push, then rinse repeat at the next chokepoint. It's a snorefest. I got to gold.
I expected something more like a TDM or arena shooter style with more 1v1s and emergent fights, but this didn't seem it.

fire your missiles more, don't save them in a pokey team fight. Just keep firing them into the the enemy team. ive watched you sit there and fire 1 volley when it could have been 3 or 4 in that time frame.
I feel like swapping to different characters could be nice to do in low ranks and recognizing who counters who but god damn this mercy was up the 76’s butt the whole game man. I remember seeing in the Jay3 chat “what’s the difference between a bronze mercy and a play mercy? Their boyfriend.”

I watched about half the video to see how intense the gameplay was and I think if this person really fortified themselves mentally and was having a good day they should be handle the stress of Cities Skylines with infinite money turned on.

The core issue here is simply not taking advantage of Soldier's benefits. You can be effective from medium range and crossfire. You have sprint to reposition constantly. You should never be in a spot where you get outpressured, but you constantly end up in your team's frontline where you get hit with things like grav, arrows, mines Ashe shots, etc. Whenever you get hit by something that is intended to be thrown at your team's frontline/objective contest, then you're in a bad position and not utilizing your kit. So don't stop to pursue immediate low value (at high risk of rng bystander fatality syndrome). Run around, take angles, open cross fires, run away when pressure nears you, re-engage when pressure is diverted.. rinse and repeat.
In terms of micro issues, there's ofc the mechanics. Less than stellar, but I won't comment too much on controller aim as that's just gonna come with time. But Helix rockets are severely underutilized. So often you try to finish off a target by shooting them, whereas a single Helix into the ground could've helped finish the job 1-2 seconds earlier both to ensure you actually get the elim, and also so you can move on to new value faster. I'd reckon you could have gotten at least 40% more kills and effective value, simply by using Helix as a finisher whenever it's available. You can close fights quicker, giving enemy team less of a chance to escape or flip the tables on you. Again, the best way to combat rng fight swings is to ensure there is no opportunity for the enemy to swing it. If you overly rely on your (bad) aim to finish most of your kills, then you are giving way too many free opportunities for the enemy team to avoid being punished for the bad plays they make. And the main way to climb, is to punish the mistakes that enemies commit in your current rank. Right now, you rarely punish their mistakes, which is why you're in the same rank as them, and why it feels so intense most of the time. YOU make it intense, by not abusing the enemy's weaknesses even when they present them right in front of you. Or when they choose not to guard their flanks, but you don't abuse this. When they only shoot down main, but you choose to stand in main. YOU make your own games intense.
