That's back to the roots of BMW. Originally the company successfully produced airplane engines for the german "Luftstreitkräfte" aka airforce in WW1. A myth says that the company's logo is the shape of a propeller spinning in the blue sky.😊

I may have an idea. Build a high tower in every city (lets say 1500 ft/the higher the better).
And when you have to do a short trip you can rent such a electric boosted wingsuit at the top of the high tower and let loose.
If you want to travel back you have to go to the next tower. I heard in the video that the boost lasts or will last 5 minutes.
I think this will do quite a few miles. Imagine doing your everyday way of work? Our daily lifes would be a little more risky but much more amazing.
I would name it "SkyStation" Greets from good old........ ;)

u need 200 regular skydives in 18 months till you get the licence for a wingsuite....
in comparison to drivers licences i think in the us u only need someone who brings you to 10k feet.... ….🤣

This is cool and all... But making it electric is more of a publicity stunt and severely limiting. For a use case like this one, you want an energy source with the highest possible energy density. And batteries are certainly not it. Explosives would be great... But maybe a bit risky. But really, a fossile fuel jet engine should be able to achieve a lot more.
