"Staplerfahrer Klaus" is a real classic in Germany. It was made in 2000, some years before RUclips. It was meant as a parody of 1970s and 1980 boring educational films. The funny thing is that it is used as a educational film now. But it's far away from being boring.
This IS from the late 70s . We had to watch it in the mid 80's as an add to other savety films.

I am Brittas boyfriend, born 1965 and both trained metall worker ( Maschinenschlosser 1982-1985 Training) and forkliftdriver 2000d. This movie was a parody of older worksafty movies from 1970s to 1990s. At first you don't notice this. They style is an exact copy from original safety movies of this periode, older germans like me remember, and the narrator voice seems to be from a man ( Egon Högen??) who was then ,the Security clips voice', well known from TV road security clips show ,Der siebte Sinn/ the seventh sense. So this combination of the wellknown Security Clips voice' and movie style maked the Mix of fun and surprise for older germans.
Lol that was always shown to us at work in the safety briefings that always loosened up the lessons.

I'm a forklift driver and i love this splatter movie 😂 This is actually a training video from the employers' liability insurance association. They wanted to be a bit funny with the video. They probably didn't think it would become a piece of German culture.

"Da wir uns keinem Auftraggeber gegenüber verantworten mussten, ließen wir unserer Fantasie freien Lauf."
Und:

It is a movie-academy final in the likes of a training video. Fun fact: The narrator is very famous for traffic training videos that aired on german TV for several decades.
This video has probably prevented more forklift accidents than all other safety videos combined.
My father named Klaus btw, showed me this when I was 6 years old.

This was meant to be a security film with a twist. not a spoof.. everything they did was with purpose. and the actor who played klaus also told in an interview that they had storyboards vor every scene. so it was a serious production. the blood was pig blood.... and the klaus actor said it was gross. if he would knew how gross it smells and tastes, he would ask for filmblood.
At my PhD institute we worked with Raman-scattering i.e. very powerful laser beams and had to refresh our training annually. The dean didn't bother looking for the right VHS-Tapes and gave them out all together in a big basket. We had a long night of training videos with lots of beer and some joker already added one tape, you guessed it, forklift driver Klaus.
»Staplerfahrer Klaus« is the final work (the thesis, you can say) of two students of the Hamburg Media Scholl, made in 2000. It is intended to be a parody of a training movie. However, this movie in known to be shown on real trainings as well (at the end as an extra).

Ah yes i know that lesson film too, That Film we saw in the jobschool to learning the falklifter job ^^
For sure it was totally exaggerated displayed and it should be a bit funny to teach you.
But this still could be reallity- how fast somehting terrible happens, and if one thing goes wrong another thing indeed could following because it happened.
The first one where the worker got lift up on the pallette for example, it happened in our parent company exactly like this. He fell off and hit his head on the edge of a grid box. He immediatelly was dead, left woman and 2 kids behind... Just because of such a stupid action.

Klaus, Klaas, Niklas ,Nick,...are simply variations of Nikolaus. A saint, St. Nikolaus was formerly very popular, has nothing to do with Santa Claus as we know today.
