Remember, don't play the first 2 to 3 months. Pre orders are just a part of the issue. Both BFV but more so BF2042 were not left in the oven long enough. At this point I rather wait another 5 years for a battlefield game.

Everyone is feeling the burn from last time, we're with you. They have only one chance left and this next title includes AI bots, It is a no-go for me and am pretty sure others are going to feel the same.
Pre orders are not stopping people from just buying the very first day the game is out. How about don't purchase the game the first 2 to 3 months and have the patience and wait out the storm of the early bugs and less content that every game comes out with in today games. It's very clear that the next battlefield is going to lack content at release again. Also, bugs are to be expected. BF2042 screwed up by changing the formula of what makes battlefield a battlefield game on top of the nonsense that is to be expected at this point on a day 1 launch.

"We're making more money than ever" "Then why are you giving us less content?" Because people are still buying it. Voicing concerns on social media falls on deaf ears. Even if it doesn't, they will pretend they're deaf if they're making money. If the concerns starts hitting their wallets though, thats how we make progress. If the game and content is bad, we HAVE to boycott it and not buy it.
I waited like 6 months after 2042 launched until my youtube feed lit up with "2042 better now!" videos.
It still sucked, probably still does. I'm seriously not buying another Battlefield game for over $20.

@@reillyobrien4372 i pre ordered it and highly regretted it. that was my nail in the coffin for spending money on games. havent bought a cod since and am always very skeptical. that being said, i do personally (as well as my friend group) enjoy 2042 in its current state. the maps are still the maps unfortunately, none of them really stand out like shanghai did. and infantry vs vehicle combat is worse than it was in bf4. other then that though i actually am having fun with it. its sad it took literally the entire games life for me to say that but here we are

Next game being in "playable state" should be taken with a HUGE grain of salt anyway, 2042 was said to be ahead of schedule and look how it turned out to be. The game could be still in greybox stage and the suits would call it playable just because you can move around an empty map.
I'm afraid the name Battlefield no longer stands for what it once used to, it's in the same dumpster Call of Duty has been for years now. I don't even know what they'd have to do to win their old fanbase back, fancy trailers and big promises won't really cut it anymore. I'm certainly not pre-ordering (thankfully I cancelled my 2042 preorder after the beta so I dodged one bullet already), and to be honest I'm not sure if I'll even buy it after launch. I've been following this franchise since BF2 but I think it's just time to finally let it go...
loved 2042 from the start till now. it has had minor tweaks and fixes that were positive shortly after release. in the End it was a large Battle field, vehicles, weapons, and enemies to shoot so just like the other BF's before it. I have 1500 hours in every BF from BF 3 on so im well versed. I found it was mostly simps and bad players that didn't like it because it requires actual skills compared to say aim assist, slide up concrete stairs while spinning and shooting COD etc. I would have liked a few more maps in the end but thats minor.
@toddblankenship7164 i also have thousands of hours since bf3 and 2042 is shit. Mostly the maps, they're dreadful. They've forgotten how to make good rush and frontlines maps. None of the other game modes are worth playing. I'm a 3 k/d, top objective player, no it's not a skill issue. The game is just trash

I'm not defending DICE here - The game at that point was way ahead of schedule, but the game wasnt "Battlefield" it was the Battle Royale version of the game, the reason the game released in such a broken way was because DICE had a small window of opportunity to adhoc add in Conquest and stuff - I loathe when people use things out of context.
This guy trying to defend that dumpster fire game is laughable. 2042 is not battle field. He has no idea what he is saying he is lying about playing that much.
I just want the feel of BF3 back. Sniping, vehicle play (joystick support), and maps all went downhill with BF4 imo. BF1 had great sniping though.
BF3 and BC2 had the best maps forsure! I love BF4 but alot of the maps were mid and didn't have much flow.
They fucked it with 2042. It made me completely lose interest in the battlefield franchise.
what did they fuck up exactly? as someone who loved it and has 1500hours + in all the Battle fields since BF3 i found it was pretty similar to all the past ones, with some visual updates and imo the best gunplay with BF 5 having the next best gunplay.

@@RichSmithson nope lol, originally played BF 1942 wayy back when. Then I got back into it for BF 3 and I have 1500+ in EACH BF from BF 3 till 2042. I have tried BC2 in recent times and really its mostly nostalgia imo that people hold on too because I thought it was terrible. I also have never done single player BF on any of the games, like never even clicked it, I only multiplayer.

another fun fact about Shogun is they are speaking what is considered Shakespearian Japanese, old Japanese. Even the younger Japanese actors had a hard time speaking. Hiroyuki the main Japanese actor had to teach everyone how to speak it.

@tiestofalljays Same, last night I uninstalled it for the final time. 2042 sucked up all of my free time to play other titles. Not to mention that playing 2042 was starting to feel like a real chore that I had to do and that was mainly from the seasonal stuff. And if the next Battlefield title is going to have AI bots, NO THANKS! It's a hard pass.

@alexdasliebe5391 seems every AAA company wants to release half-baked to meet unrealistic deadlines to make shareholders happy instead of releasing a finished product. Hence the need for live service dog$h!t.
The neat thing about V Rising is that you can tweak a ton of settings. You can tune it to have a lot more loot, or less, you can have up to 5 castles, do more or less damage, have more or less health. You can tweak crafting recipe prices and speed a bit too, or just start a new server with end game gear and mats for a quick pvp session. And if you are the host, you can change those settings so if you find its going way too slow you can increase the loot and harvesting drop amounts and the crafting speed and then start the server back up and enjoy.
The main downside is that its a server based game. You can spin up a private local server and play alone or have your friends join your server, but as a server based game, there is no pause, and things are designed to take a long time. You can enthrall npcs and then send them out to gather materials for you, but that will take between 2 and 24 actual hours of server running time to complete, which if you are playing on a private server shuts down when the host quits the game and so time does not pass for it.
I remember being in graphic design class in high-school watching you both during bf4!

Much of the development team that made BF4 or even BF5 and back to BF2 are gone. The first warning for alot of people was when they didn't allow you to mod BF3, and it's been 1 step forward and 2 steps back ever since.
The team behind _Venice Unleashed_ did the impossible - it's the best Battlefield in existence - and nobody cares.

Premium-like release schedule (4 maps, 5-10 weapons, couple of gadgets per season). Military power vs military power (none of the no pat rubbish. US vs China/Russia). Classes. Maps like BFBC2/BF3/BF4. No silly cosmetics, camos, made up weapons etc. Present day/immediate future (2030) era. Make it a proper Battlefield again. Gritty, harsh, no messing about.

One thing that I think the next BF game needs is five classes. To demonstrate this I thought i'd make a mock up of a Battlefield game if it had 5 classes to choose from. Gadgets and weapons are from BF4, # Note: The ammo crate has been split and now has two variants, an ammo only version and an Explosives only version.
Assault: ARs, DMRs, Carbines, Shotguns.
Class ability: Explosives crate.
Slot 1: M320 HE/LVG/dart/3GL, M26 mass frag/slug/dart
Slot 2: C4, Ballistic shield, DS-3 Decoy.
Medic: PDWs/SMGs, DMRs, Carbines, Shotguns.

16:50 these milsim games do take themselves too seriously. Irl there are ways a person would visually be able to tell what army someone fights for. Ironically BF has traditionally done this really well except for 2042. The silouettes and profile images of BF traditionally were very identifiable.

Just remaster BF3
EA as a whole, has killed every major franchise theyve touched since BF1.
It all started with the BF1/Titanfall 2 release. The signs were showing then that EA poorly runs its studios at the senior level.

REMASTER BATTLEFIELD 3 and 4 and Bad Company 1 and 2 maps! Use BF3 campaign and (Expand) coop. Use 3 and 5’s vehicles, use 1’s and bc2 sound design. Use 3 and 4’s weapons. Use 1 and 5’s atmosphere and gritty realism/animations. Use BC2 and 4 destruction/levolution. DONT USE LIVE SERVICE! Charge more money and give us everything!!! Customization? Sure, but NO HEROES! Use classes and balanced load outs.
After seeing the cosmetics go downhill after BF1 it made me not even want to buy anything from the stores, BFV kind of fucked its own store by letting you earn the premium currency which meant less actual mtx sales, 2042 cosmetics are just awful, oh you want a cool cosmetic here's a brown gun with leaves on it, like wtf is that, give me BF1 cosmetics, the amount of detail on them is insane

I can't do battlefields anymore. Played every game and once these specialists came in to play. It ruined everything about bf and the community and the team work. 2 years to fix a game and literally wasted all that time to do rework maps. battlefield was always a gritty war game and now it's a apex and cod had a baby lost all of its indenity. EA ruins all they touch. I would be shocked if it was polished and bug free and had a battle royal that could go head to head with warzone.
I never noticed any difference with specialists and classes. literally nothing changed for me, I just always changed to the tools for the situation at hand so really didnt change anything
@@toddblankenship7164 that just it tho. It takes away team play cause you can just switch to what you need in the game you never need ammo u can do it yourself med pack you can do it yourself. Older titles you clearly didn't notice guns locked to class gear locked to class. You needed meds to heal you or engineer to drop you ammo on the fly.
@@michaelrichardson9626 I dunno I play with a crew full time and we always have someone with ammo someone with the spawn beacon etc etc and we are usually top team working as a team full on comms. I love it.
@@toddblankenship7164you also need to remember that not everyone has friends, not everyone can talk to people due to anxiety or some other reason, Battlefield has been great in the past for not needing comms as team play was pretty ripe, now however it's not as abundant, plus the only people that use comms now is to rage at you when you kill them over and over 😂

Agree, same thing we're seeing with Blizzard, the current generation of Devs taking over from the OG's have not a clue what makes gaming great, they can only try and copy what was previously done, while adding their own touch, which usually turns out to be a disaster, like not having a Score Board for BF 2042 release, someone actually thought that was a great idea.

Battlefield has made battlefield bad. So many "live service" games that have been solid. I wish for a good battlefield in the near future but I dont expect that to happen
My problem with Arena Breakout Infinite, is that it doesn't feel like a... permanent game, if that makes sense? It feels more like a novelty. Just something that I'll play for a couple of weeks whilst I find something new to play

The reason for me 3.23 is SO IMPORTANT has little to do with SC itself honestly because I am mostly a PvE player with all the missions they have currently which will only really start to improve with better server performance or in other words: It needs SM with DGSs small enough to have good performance on each DGS. Of course this is a very important update for SM as well with the RepLayer basically being SM with 1 DGS but RepLayer really is just for the Devs to notice and not the players (except Crash-Recovery)
So, back to why this update is so important to me: SQUADRON 42.
Right now, I am SQ42 > SC, if nothing else simply because it is a lot further along in development but also because I don't have endless amounts of time to play a single game (I simply have to many projects and games to play) right now. I also simply love the concept of SQ42 from everything they have communicated so far (a mix of Half-Life, Space-Sim, Metro Exodus and a few other games).
Why is this patch important for Squadron. Simple: Basically all the features (except the Server-Tech) in this patch has been made for Squadron 42 over the past few years meaning that is the best view we have ever gotten to how SQ42 will play (and maybe even the only one before release though I personally hope they give us a free demo of a single mission to stress-test and for marketing).
Now, I haven't done much with 3.23 yet but I do think this looks promising personally. If you take all those systems and remove server-performance and add the fact that SQ42 is probably a more controlled environment compared to the very open PU, I could see these features working well. I also think that (despite what some are saying) generally the SC style is still there (though I wasn't really able to test the biggest controversy: MasterModes, yet)
Now, all that is left to do in terms of SQ42 is read Monthly Reports and wait for CitizenCon this year
Star Citizen's 3.23 is getting rougher for me, it seems like missions seem to have become incresily bugged (mainly mercenary and bounty hunting missions) and it's very hard to complete any mission because the targets won't spawn, markers won't show up or it will give you crime stat.
That being said, the FPS stuff has seen a huge improvement, when you manage to find a mission that works, the AI is way better than anything I saw in 3.22 or before, still needs to improve more but they move and shoot, it's quite fun.
If there is a lack of gameplay before release like 2042, avoid the game like the plague.

There’s just something about BF3’s graphics, map design, and destruction that’s way better to me than BF4. Don’t get me wrong BF4 was a good game but something just felt off to me.
I felt the EXACT same way, it was a good game but felt like a total downgrade from BF3
I was day 1 Battlefield 3 player. Game was great (except that web browser requirement to lunch game), my pc was not. I loved that game, later i bought premium for dlcs.
I bought new medium quality pc for Battlefield 1 and played day 1. This PC LASTED me till this year when i finally decided to upgrade. Game was running super smooth, BF1 progression was fantastic, game modes especially operations were a blast. Campaign was long and had fantastic stories.
Recently i bough BF V for 9 euro during big discount. Contains all dlcs etc. I played for about 30 hours now. Guns are too accurate. Game is fantastic but lack realism of BF1 and there are no operations. I am very surprised by this decision as it was something super special to Battlefield.
My fav by far is BF1.

Live service is fine for a lot of other franchises because they actually follow through with consistent content. We don’t trust Dice to follow through. They’re like an unreliable employee that promises consistent and quality work, but continuously calls in with excuses.
If they just go back to what they had done great with their older BF games then they might make a good game, but I suspect they will produce another game that’s BF2042 with minor differences.

@PuddingTaToRnAtOr i wouldn't mind most of the weapons from 4. Maybe a few of the maps, but yea keep those bf4 maps away for the most part
@@beastabuelos6421 For real. I like the guns, but over saturation of weapons usually ends up in 1 or 2 being good and the rest are borderlined unusable. I remember in bf3 I could use just about anything and have a decent game, only complaining about the aek-m4 users after I was tilted from playing too long 😂
After the scam of 2042/Portal I will only play a battlefield if its free and there are no flying characters.
The idea that Sony doesn't do business is some countries seems like an absolutely normal thing. Giant billion dollar company doesn't do business in certain countries for unspecified legal/tax/money reasons? Yeah sure, that makes sense.
Also Sony's shareholder presentation doesn't mention anything about PSN account numbers. I am pretty sure Sony doesn't care about how many PSN accounts are made. The metrics they mentioned were things like "hours online and playing". They care about that, cause that translates into more sales of DLC/microtransactions
The acounts probably give them better data to monitor how many users are playing.. Idk just another penny for the algorithm

@@dame2547 With the battlepass system, insultingly bad campaign and all the cringey operator skins I don't know how anyone can defend COD.
Yes the game has a healthy player base and is to the point where it will never truly die but that doesn't mean the franchise is not a shadow of it former self. Golden era from 2007 - 2012 is vastly superior to modern COD.

Current EA management doesn't want the game that the fans want and the EA teams are incapable of making the game the fans want.
The executives want the COD/Fortnite skins money, but that sort of style just doesn't work with the authenticity and sort of realism that the battlefield fans want.
And DICE.... well I can't really explain that level of incompetence.
I can't really remember the last western AAA game that I've enjoyed, and I'm starting to fear that the only way we get good western games again is if the industry crashes or there's some big social/political change.
You know the industry is bad when Rockstar Games is the only company that can get people hyped and talking about their games, plus the single player games from them beat nearly every multiplayer game in terms of sales in the first three months, it's honestly terrible how bad this industry is

Battlebit remastered is superior to what ever battlefield they announce. It runs on anything and hit reg is perfect. Never buying another battlefield game again since i found the perfect one

Hit reg is very tight! Probably the best it's ever felt. Maybe cuz it runs so well. The Finals feels like soup in comparison, maybe cuz it doesn't run super smooth.
I loved old bf for the gritty war feel, I don’t get that from battlebit whatsoever of course. It’s a great game don’t get me wrong but I just can’t see it as as a superior battlefield successor.

That is literally how any "new" thing gets made... sm1 is fed up with the current product, as demands change and the product gets more and more abandoned... they will make "the same" thing, but will ALL of th new features they always wanted/needed.
ANYTHING that looks entirely new to YOU... is actualy just a lack of knowledge where it came from.. nothing is born out of a vacuum. Everything is referential.
You just didn't know what they are referencing so for YOU it looks ENTIRELY NEW... when it is infact NOT.
