Sheer genius, her aesthetic, her voice, her lyrics, her artistry made a profound impact on millions of sensitive souls, she is really a Renaissance Woman .... wonderful that her music is being rediscovered by a new generation.....
John THE BIMMER MAN She's an old soul and nobody's fool. Her brother once submitted some of her poetry to a magazine. The editor said "If she changes this and that, we'll publish it". Kate said "If they don't like it as it is, I don't want my poems in their magazine". She was eleven years old. Most of the songs off her first two albums were penned between the ages of 13 and 15. One of them "Man With The Child In His Eyes" was her 2nd single. Recorded at 16 years of age. A genuinely beautiful woman, inside and out..... and from a very young age, a genius to boot.
@@zsoltsandor3814 Yes. I once watched a few clips (can't remember the titles). Another talented youngster. (anyone under 45 is a youngster to me now ) LOL. Just went onto the old age pension.
Her music is a beautiful coming together of an artistic woman steeped in traditional folk, old Irish and English folk culture, a spiritual /intuitive heart and the most modern of sound technology used to express it.
When a new generation is gripped by a song from the 80's, it confirms how good the music was in our youth. I could listen to Kate's interview's all day.
She's a genuinely humble, genuinely curious musical genius who captured my heart completely & forever, a long time ago. Probably the coolest thing of all about her, aside from her incredible music, is the fact she simply won't play the music industry game. She would rather go off in private and be a Mother, away from all the noise & madness. It's absolutely brilliant that she is having this resurgence in popularity. Hail Kate, Queen of Hearts! Beautiful inside & out. Eat the music!
My very first memory of Kate Bush was late 70s, 1980 at the latest because I still lived in WA, before we moved to Tessie. It was on count down. I thought she was an angel. I just saw beauty, inside and out. It's a very clear memory. I was mesmerized. It's a powerful memory. I can't remember the song 100% but I'm pretty sure it was Babushka. I was 3 or 4 years old at the time.
Only my coolest friends listened to Kate back in the day. I enjoyed her music but didn't understand it until much later in life. Just take it as you are.
Love that kids are getting into Kate, she’s incredible. My two young nieces are very into wearing 80’s clothes too, very strange seeing them wear what I wore 😆
Kate never said that her music a strong force for children! She said music is not necessarily her music. She is so modest and would never say anything so arrogantly.
First time that I heard this song was years ago with the band Within Temptation playing. Only a time later I found out that was a Kate Bush song. And hearing this song on Stranger Things WAS AMAZING!!!!!!
My first impression of "Wuthering Heights" was her slight squeak high pitch singing; then came her deepest single that is "Running Up That Hill", in which her biggest single 37 years ago just got bigger today!
she seems quite reserved and plain-jane during interviews - and somewhat displeased - yet in her music videos she blows you away with her outward and wild personality. fascinating how someone can be like two completely different personalities.

1986 is truly back rn. We have Stranger Things at #1, Top Gun is #1 movie in June 2022, and Kate Bush is back on the charts at #1 GLOBALLY!!! Everything i've always wanted as a GEN Z
Such an intelligence woman. She’s right. When it comes to the arts, the appeal is that you’re trying to proof each time that you can still do it as well as you did it the last time. Even if it was just a day ago, do you want to come back and see if that talent is still there. It’s an interesting phenomenon that gives you that drive.
Iv'e been a 'Kate' fan for 40 yrs+ (adore 'The Dreaming' album) but regarding the subject of 'Stranger Things' and the youngsters of today... if her music was on the radio, no kids of today would take a blind bit of notice. It's only because its on that tv show that kids get into it. FACT! If a song is fantastic, you dont need some tv show to promote it.
Kate's always been Classic Alternative, therefore not mainstream. That's why most Americans haven't known her in past. She's not like Madonna, whose just for anyone.

Sheer genius, her aesthetic, her voice, her lyrics, her artistry made a profound impact on millions of sensitive souls, she is really a Renaissance Woman .... wonderful that her music is being rediscovered by a new generation.....
I'm a 90s-00s baby so I'm just discovering her now, and I'm obsessed with this song now.
She's absolutely beautiful..I'm 62 and always loved her. X
never really heard her speaking before now, have to say what a lovely lady she seems, what a beautiful soul, light years removed from todays rabble
One of my favorite songs by Kate Bush. Loved hearing it in Strangers Things! Her videos are mini art films.
Kate comes across as a very sincere and thoughtful person, with a grace and refinement sadly lacking in a lot of entertainers today.
@@warrenbridges1891 that sounds like who/what Aurora is to Gen Z.
@@zsoltsandor3814 Yes. I once watched a few clips (can't remember the titles). Another talented youngster. (anyone under 45 is a youngster to me now ) LOL. Just went onto the old age pension.
Wuthering Heights
Running up that Hill
The Hounds of Love
Cloudbusting
The Sensual World
These are my favorite songs, Kate is amazing.
This Women’s Work
@@rarecharisma Haven't heard yet, Rubberband Girl and Hammer Horror are great too.
That's just 5 of many many more works of art
@@stevecox9796 sure, catching up with her discography lately, she really rocks
Also forget Babooshka another great song by her.
Probably one of the best songs ever written
Her music is a beautiful coming together of an artistic woman steeped in traditional folk, old Irish and English folk culture, a spiritual /intuitive heart and the most modern of sound technology used to express it.
Wtf man time is amazing, art is amazing, the way this women touched me with her music being a .young 23 year old black man is amazing truly
Beautiful inside and out and moreso able to express it to the world.
I discovered Hounds of Love (the album) a few weeks ago it is truly life changing.
The Dreaming is even better for me :)
She clearly said that 'music' is a strong force for children, not 'my music is a strong force'
Nice interview though...
My son and daughter heard this on the radio and asked me to turn it up, I'm 47 and this is unreal that they requested this song
I'm 58 and I love Kate, she's the best vocalist ever ever! Glad the youngsters are discovering her too because she's timeless 🙏
Musicians like Kate come around once in a lifetime
So glad Kate Bush is getting this whole new wind of fans thanks to Stranger Things. She deserves all the recognition in the world.
My mum played Kate Bush, her voice just unlocked a part of me that will remain.
This woman deserves all the accolades.
Kate Bush finally getting the recognition she deserves. Nice.
That song will rescue some kids who are on the brink like Max in Stranger Things 4
Not only is her music different, she has her own vibe going on. She almost is enchanting. And I say that in a good way.
Simply, one of the strongest scenes in cinematic history. Period.
Disagree
@@lavenderraiyn I don’t think they give a shit
alright calm down
What an incredible artist, always evolving and never the same. Thank you Kate for the beautiful music you have given us.
Cloud busting is one of my favourite Kate Bush songs. She never dates. Love her music ❤️
My first impression of "Wuthering Heights" was her slight squeak high pitch singing; then came her deepest single that is "Running Up That Hill", in which her biggest single 37 years ago just got bigger today!
Could this woman be any more iconic? She is a complete one off.
Her singing voice is beautiful and powerful and her speaking voice is sweet and calm ♥️🥰
she seems quite reserved and plain-jane during interviews - and somewhat displeased - yet in her music videos she blows you away with her outward and wild personality. fascinating how someone can be like two completely different personalities.
She's in control with her art
@@beathusk1018 very true.i find it fascinating how such a creative artist is so "normal" during interview, almost like they don't want to be there or discuss their work.shes definitely one of those celebs who doesn't enjoy interviews you can just tell.
@@Dion_Mustard I think she's just very calm and put together so it almost seems like she's not interested
@@ryle2814 yes agreed.
Im from argentina ,when i listen this magical woman ,i fallin in love , she's fantástico ,i love her
I wish I could meet her. She's magical
I'm so glad the effervescent Kate Bush is seeing a revival of interest in the younger generation. Her music is so magical and timeless in a way that very few artists have achieved.
I also have really clear memories of Queen, I want to break free. I remember my parents talking about it because they were wearing dresses and makeup. These are the kind of people who open others eyes and teach diversity, uniqueness and acceptance.
amazing how people from different age group are connecting
one of the most under rated song writers, i still love wuthering heights to this day. . also her song has just got to number one after 35 years.
Take heart and know, that you are loved deeply and completely by God. You are worth it and your value is immeasurable.
You are beautiful, and you always will be!
About time Kate Bush got the recognition she deserves, nice to see other people, especially young people, now enjoying the music. I say “young people” like I’m an old man, I’m 22, but I’ve had the music of Kate Bush around me since I was a kid. Better late than never, she’s a true artist.
Kate Bush is not a mere musician - she is an artist.
She accompanied my life since I was 5 - and saved my teeange years :) Thank you, Kate :)
Remember taping this from the radio … love her music ♥️💐💐♥️
Kates music moved me as a child I’m glad it is still inspiring children today
She's great. Listening and introduced to her at age 42.
I don't know what my life would be without Kate, she's the best musician ever ♥️
She is so pure, so magical
