i love both slipknot and limp bizkit and seen em both live within the past year.....love slipknot for its mix of pure anger and relentless thrash with dark chilling lyrics and love limp bizkit for its attempt to mix together metal with the hip-hop industry cranking out awesome beats.

As unfortunate as it may seem, it's only a phase and for about maybe a few years it will probably continue, but, the true slipknot friends never leave even if someone they despise likes the same band. This music moves me, and that's all that matters.

every few months ill take a few off just to relisten and let old albums sit in.
i find that most of my favorite bands i dont start "getting" until months after i start to listen. ive had a few instances with bands i thought nothing of sitting on my ipod for a year where i listen to their album maybe 5 times and then it suddenly *clicks* and they are incredible.

Why does there have to be a rivalry? This is an old video, both bands have sorted out their differences now. I've seen both live and they are 2 of the greatest bands I've ever seen and I've been a fan of both of them since I was 13.

you know, while not a fan of slipknot i will say this. props. i used to think slipknot were nothing but a bunch of posers who knew nothing of real metal, but they do, and are influenced by many of the great metal gods of old. they just decided to try something new and run with it, and while in MY opinion it doesnt sound good, its obviously worked well for them, and at least they arent sellouts to who they are just because of mainstream limelight. Kudos to SlipKnot
you may not like limp bizkit, but i grew up on bands like them. the first time i heard counterfeit, i was hooked.

@plslc1 i half agree and half disagree, the bit i disagree is tht slipknot have only released 4 albums which isnt tht much, ok 5 if u count the live one but i gotta admit as much as a slipknot fan i am. and believe me im a huge slipknot fan. i even bought jim roots signature guitar and most probably get his next one but i have to admit theyre latest album all hope is gone some songs on there are abit commercial but sulfur, dead memories, psychosocial and snuff definatly arnt

If you want to hear some of corey taylors good clean singing vocals, check out jumpdafuckup by soufly on which he makes a guest apperance. Also check out vermillion part 2 and dead memories by slipknot and bother, through glass, and zzyzx rd by stonesour. I think you might like those songs.
