SOMEONE PUT A SCAFFOLD IN OUR WAY. PORCH DEMOLITION WE ARRIVE FOR DAY ONE ON A BIG JOB WHICH INVOLVES DEMOLISHING THE EXISTING PORCH INCLUDING THE ROOF, FLOOR AND WALLS WITH ANOTHER SURPRISE ABOVE
WE START WITH A WALL THEN ITS ONTO THE VERY POOR QUALITY FLOOR THEN LASTLY WE STRIP THE ROOF BACK SO WE CAN DO SOME EXTRA UN PLANNED WORK.....ENJOY 🧱👍🏽

Al said it best ‘I like taking out sh!t and making it better’. I think it sums up perfectly what you are all about. Talking to the customer about their job is important too rather than just ploughing ahead. Sets the true builders apart from the cowboys. Nicely done gents!

Hi Steve&Alex. This one is going to be a great job. As long as the scaffold is down for you. Agree you can’t leave that pillar thing in. Worth do it properly. Which you guys will do and always do. Don’t listen to the negativity they are just jealous. Keep up the good work guys. 👍

Nice to see you using a quality Carlton brick. Made just down the road from me in Grimethorpe, at the old Carlton Main Brick works.
My house is made from their engineering type bricks, they weigh a ton & are as strong as hell, built over 110 years ago for the Old Colliery Workers. A bit of history for you.

Well have got 12 mins into the video Steve,so the lintle is needing to be extended,thats ok,but I get the feeling that the owner is going to remove the door into the property,and that can and does create problems as you know,I hope you got on video that you explained that ,saves any comeback
The door was discussed and removing it gets rid of a very useful porch so the door is staying 🧱👍🏽

I have a suggestion for your consideration. Develop a checklist on a single sheet of paper, consisting of a row of tools & equipment and a row of materials and supplies. Keep them on a clipboard in the van. Fill out the checklist together every evening on the ride home. Referring to it the following morning will help avoid leaving the house without the essentials for the day, and also help to avoid forgetting to order what you need or what to pickup when you go shopping. Scaffolding companies love to leave up their scaffolding as long as possible so they do not have to pay for storage. I had half of mine taken down within days but was well over a month before the other half came down *sigh*
