One question, I’m currently renovating our old barn into a house and the architect has put on our plans to use a wall starter kit attaching block work to stone walls.. my only concern with that is the wall isn’t flat.. would bluebird ties be a better option as you have used here ?

Your house is a new build isn't it? Check you wont fall foul of contractual clauses in the purchase agreement by building a porch. Some of these new home builders put all sorts of things in for X amount of years after purchase to make sure they are well clear of liability's on the original planning agreements.
I know Gleeson with their infamous gravel drives have a clause that stops you from putting in a proper driveway after purchase. They have actually took people to court for contravening this.

I agree. Balance of explanations, timelapses, slo-mo's and real times is spot on in my opinion. I do sometimes rewind 20 secs or so and watch bits again if I miss a detail but I'm cool with that. I did think you were brave starting the block work a few hours after laying and trowelling the slab. If I had been on the job, there would have been mortar snots, bits of block, footprints, half eaten pies, coffee cups, tools and stuff embedded in the wet concrete. I'd probably have got booted off site 5 blocks into the job 😅😅.
