- 2 hours of walking in Valletta.
Despite of the public holiday Valletta is empty. No tourist, no locals. Mainly policemen and elderly (!) people. The shops are closed, the museums are closed, the restaurants all closed, the main attractions are closed, the Festa of St Joseph cancelled.
Never ever seen the Upper Barrakka Gardens without people...
We are not under lock down on this day (19th March) but people started to stay at home. The whole experience is so surreal. I cannot believe what I see... :(

This is like coming home. I have the privilege and honour of having been born in Malta. My mum and dad were English born and Bred but I could onlt be a British Subject. I have never felt a place of home until I started to come back to Malta. This is home. Finally I have a place to connect with. Thank you for that privilege. I am now 69 years of age and I can finally say Im Maltese and proud of it,,,

I was stationed in Malta 65 to 70 and loved it. Don't recognise any where now. Went back on holiday about 95 and though the place had deteriorated, a lot, rather scuffy. I've watched a few videos of Malta lately and it looks a lot better. This video has tempted me to give it another try. It h
