  • The Three Cities is a collective description of Birgu, Senglea and Cospicua - the three fortified cities across from Valletta in Malta.
    We start our tour near the Fort St. Angelo in the the oldest of the Three Cities which is Birgu. There we walk around the narrow streets on hills, see churches and have a nice view of the harbor and a relaxed atmosphere on this winter evening (in February 2020).
    Our tour then goes more south towards Cospicua.
    From the Madonna Statue we walk to St. Helen's Gate before we return and get to Senglea. There we catch a ferry at last bringing us back to Valletta. On this evening we enjoy the view across the harbor before we arrive in Valletta and end this tour.

    I have been several times in the three cities because i live here in Malta but never like this. Looks like there are different ways to explore the same place. History all aroud us. Did you visit Mdina? Great city for a walking too.

      Thank you. On that trip I didn't manage to get to Mdina. I also heard great things and will hopefully visit when I revisit Malta. It's been almost 2 years since I went there. More Malta videos are on the channel - mostly Valletta, Sliema and some of Paceville / Saint Julian's. Thanks for watching

    50:53 Did something "inconvenient" happen there?

    • @poptravelorg
      @poptravelorg  3 года назад

      Ha, only slightly inconvenient...😎 I had to put the camera down to pay the boat and later also put away the wallet again - so there are a few cuts...

    9:48 you drop something ?

    • @poptravelorg
      @poptravelorg  3 года назад +2

      Nice catch though it's my camera. 😎 I have my photo camera (Lumix GF7 in this video) dangling on a wrist band. This way I can "drop it" - while I need that hand to take my phone for a map. It only creates problems when opening a door bouncing around. I still like taking photos while filming and you often hear a click. Evengtually I find the energy to put the photos from during these walks up at poptravel.org

    You like pakistan?😔

    • @poptravelorg
      @poptravelorg  3 года назад

      I haven't been to Pakistan though surely will see that I visit once. The furthest I've been in Central Asia was Tajikistan. I've also been to Nepal and India where I could see the Pakistan border at Wagah in Punja. That was all before filming so I'll see when the situation allows to get to Pakistan and some other places there
      Thanks for watching!
