Calvinism almost destroyed my faith and my life. It drove me deep into despair and anxiety. It took me a year and a half to study my way out of it after being exposed to it in Bible College. Those were some of the hardest and darkest years of my life. There is no doubt in my mind that it is indeed a doctrine of demons and very destructive.

I'm sorry you had to go through that. I do these videos in hopes some people who are not yet in that same predicament but are starting down that path into Calvinism due to listening to some Calvinist pastor online or even at their local church, will hopefully see some of my videos and heed the warning and think twice about it and really test what they are hearing against Scripture. Thankfully, you were delivered out of that deception. Praise the Lord! Thanks for the comment. God bless you!

@@johnathanl8396When a smooth talking false teacher convinces you god has the character of satan! Something in you dies. Your 5-Point Calvinism is a cancer demanding that you be accepted as a Christian. I do not. I mark them, as we are told to expose false teachers preaching another gospel to what Paul preached.
True full blown Calvinists are not even saved let alone Christians.
      Christians are Christians!
      Calvinists are Calvinists!
      Mormons are Mormons!
Calvinists believe god created all things, and controls all things, predetermined all things,
and made all things exactly the way they are.
... thus god also created evil.
therefore since Calvinists believe god created evil.
they are blaspheming against the holy spirit ... the only unforgivable sin.
Calvinists also believe the only people who will be saved have been predetermined by god.
and since Calvinists believe god predetermined who will be saved ... they have removed free will - the gift of god to humans, and removed Jesus from the equation.
since god (according to Calvinists) has already determined who will be saved ... (and who will not be saved) ... those who will be saved do not need Christ and those who will not be saved cannot come to christ.
      thus Calvinists are not Christians.

I go to a non-denominational church where the associate pastor was reformed in his theology. I only recently dove into the weeds of Calvinism, discovering the finer points, or should I say the 5 points and what that truly means. Needless to say, as a born-again Christian for 30+ years, i immediately saw it for the heresy that it is. It is as shocking to me that so many Christians are deceived by Calvinism as it is that so many are deceived by the word faith and nar movements! Both are outright false doctrines! Anyway, I discovered that our associate pastor was a covert calvinist. Meaning, he was planted by a reformed group in the city to slowly and methodically teach the false doctrines of Calvinism to our church so they could eventually absorb another congregation into the fold of reformed calvinists. When I realized what was happening, i began to pray him out. 3 weeks later, and he has unexpectedly and without explanation resigned his position and left the church and gone his way! Even the head pastor doesn't know why or where he has gone? I never communicated any of my findings or concerns to anyone except my wife and the Lord, as i did not want to interject myself and my personal convictions upon others without an open invitation to do so. It would seem however, that my prayers were not in vain and my concerns not without merit.

Hence we maintain, by His providence, not Heaven and earth and inanimate creatures only but also the causels and wills of men are so governed as to move exactly in the course which He has destined" Calvin's Institutes; book 1, chptr 16, prgph 8.
Calvinists conflate God's sovereignty with absolute determinism (as described above). God's foreknowledge of all events does not make Him the causal agent of all events (see Jeremiah 19:5 for one of many examples)

    • @mikelyons2831
      @mikelyons2831 7 месяцев назад +5

In order to win a debate with Pelagius, Augustine pulled from his Gnostic Manicheanism & created "Absolute Determinism/Theistic Determinism/Meticulous Determinism" (take your pick) stating God controls all events at all times, even the actions & words spoken by men (very similar to Islam).
Calvin went from a lawyer to a sudo Christian theologian. Heard about Augustine's works & debates, which influenced his rewriting of the salvific work of God.
This is where the West Minster & LBC get "God decrees all things, whatsoever comes to pass..." Then it immediately contradicts itself with "Buuut your sin is on you Pal, you own that" (a paraphrase non-Calvinists use to show hypocrisy & irony).

    • @Gablesman888
      @Gablesman888 7 месяцев назад

The issue is not if you were a Calvinist before the foundation of the world. The issue is were you elect unto salvation before the foundation of the world. If you were, then you are saved, yea, counted among the eternally redeemed. If you were not, then the news is not so pretty good.
God does save those who believe. But the key point is that He gives them the ability to believe. Eph2:8-9. The redeemed are granted repentance. They are appointed unto salvation like it says in Acts.
The Arminian says, "How dare God misbehave arbitrarily like that and choose some for salvation and not others or, better, everyone else? That's not fair! That violates the 14th Amendment Equal Protection Clause! LOL.
Aside: Much of this issue of Arminians not believing in biblical salvation is an American thing. Missionaries are full of stories of how peoples in places like Asia and Africa get the doctrines of grace. Give them a Bible and they teach themselves how to be Augustinians.
But all of us, Arminians included, are already living in a world where God (or some other guilty party--LOL) "arbitrarily" wills or causes a very large number of people to have a not so lovely human life on this planet. Ever watch an ad on television requesting your money to feed the starving in Africa or Asia? The ad shows images of the pitiful starving. Why are not those people sitting in their homes watching you and me starving? That's election. Not soteriological election, but election of some sort.
And we could think of a gillion such instances--war casualties, 911, stage 4 pancreatic cancer patients. We glibly say, "there but for the grace of God go I".
In a similar, not identical vein, all of us already, by default, deal with, and live in a world with, God's elective selective grace.

A/Ps flap around and talk about how they had faith, how they turned from sin, etc. What stumps them to no end is that they then cannot answer the question, "How did you get there?" In other words, how did a lost swine sinner like you (and me) ever know that the truth of God was the truth of God?
Further, then how did a lost swine sinner like you (and me), since we were dead in trespasses and sins ever have the ability to repent of sin and throw ourselves upon the splendid mercies of Christ?
A/Ps cannot answer those questions without resorting to the use of the word "I". And the instant they do use the word "I" they are telling you that they saved themselves. Whether they are honest enough to admit that or not.
When A/P/Ts speak of making themselves saveable (making a choice, conjuring up faith, making a decision, etc) they are following original Roman Catholic doctrine about being "inherently righteous" in order to be saved. The hysterical part of that is that the A/P/Ts go a step further by not requiring the assistance of a priest. Thus, the A/P/T schema places the would be believer standing with both feet firmly planted in mid-air. A real hat trick. LOL.

Went to a stealth Calvinist Church for 3 years without a clue what TULIP meant. Once I learned I QUICKLY escaped. Here's 5 things I learned looking back at this experience:
    1. There was not a whole lot of joy among the people.
    2. No communion for you unless you signed their man-made "covenant" membership dotted line.
    3. Never once explained their most revered flower TULIP. Very stealth in this regard.
    4. Lots of 50¢ words that still don't make sense.
    5. Not a whole lotta emphasis on love.
A perfect bible verse that sums up Calvinists would be 2 Timothy 3:7 which states "Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth." I put John Calvin up there with Joseph Smith.

In Europe their missionary zeal left its marks all the way into the British Isles, Scandinavia, etc. And you should already know that the folks on the Mayflower and the Puritans believed in the Calvinist version of the doctrines of grace. Spoiler alert: Like this had much to do with the founding of our nation.

Always enjoy your videos Brian and your courage to call out this "another gospel". Another thought I had this morning is that Calvinists seem to be experts in the area of gaslighting. I've noticed that whenever they are confronted with an obvious conclusion that their doctrine leads to, they ALWAYS either gaslight you or tell you that you do not understand Calvinism.
A simple example: You tell a Calvinist that their doctrine makes God unfair by condemning a person as soon as he comes out of the womb and they will spin it or tell you that you don't understand Calvinism. They will NEVER ADMIT this obvious conclusion that their god is unfair and a respecter of persons, or use their favorite "get out of a dilemma card" by quoting Romans 9:20 "But indeed, O man, who are you to reply against God?" In other words, we need to check out our brain anytime Calvinist cognitive dissonance comes into play.

The moment Flowers asked him about infants going to hell due to unconditional election and James White refused to answer that and got very offended he even brought it up, boom! The debate was over and Flowers won, proving that even diehard Calvinists like James White are not willing to defend the false ideology of unconditional election when the implications of it are explored. Sure, with adults Calvinists will pronounce it far and wide, but with children they shrink back and seem offended by their own doctrine.

Actually, I believe he is a stealth Calvinist. He has too many red flags, such as affirming Total Depravity, the T in TULIP, on his website statement of faith. He often lifts up other Calvinists as great Godly men to admire such as Spurgeon, MacArthur, and others. I'm sure I'll end up doing another video on Spencer eventually. I have thought of doing some so many times but the idea comes and goes and I don't end up doing that particular video about him simply because I don't have the time to make a lot of videos. I try to get one done each week. Thanks for the comment. God bless you!

God is sovereign but Calvinists distort the meaning of that word and apply it to God to mean that God meticulously determined from before time began everything that anybody thinks or does and all that happens. Calvinists forget all about Satan and his influence over the world. So, when you hear someone say "sovereign grace" or "sovereign saving grace" that sounds really Christian-like and Biblical almost, but it is not. Real Christians don't use that phrase. It is a Calvinist phrase and code language used to fool the unsuspecting Christian and draw them in further for more Calvinistic teaching and indoctrination. What they really mean by that is God already chose the ones who will be saved before time began. That is the U in TULIP, Unconditional Election. That also means by default that God chose everyone else for reprobation and damnation and all of it is set in stone. So, in a nutshell, when you hear the phrase "sovereign grace" just remember that is Calvinism you are hearing.

Jesus is not referring to them as literally having Satan as their father nor that they are literally children of Satan, but because the are unbelievers who are liars like Satan who is the father of lies, and that fact is established in Genesis 3 in the garden. Those corrupt Jewish religious leaders were emulating Satan by being liars. It is like saying a biologist today is like their father Aristotle because Aristotle is known as the father of biology. Satan has no real children. People are not created in the image of Satan. All people are created in the image of God. However, an unbeliever who comes to faith in Jesus Christ becomes saved by the gift of God's grace, and at that moment they transferred from death into life or metaphorically speaking from darkness into the light, a "child of Satan" into a "child of God." Child of God or sons of God is a Biblical metaphor for believer, just as in Matthew 25 sheep vs goats in judgement are metaphors, sheep for believers and goats for unbelievers.

Some Calvinists don't realize what they are doing and are sincere about their beliefs, but they are still wrong. That is how deception works. The ones being deceived often don't realize it unless they set aside their presuppositions that were taught to them and plant themselves firmly in the Word of God alone for quite some time and trust the Holy Spirit to lead them into Truth, just as Jesus Christ said He would, the Holy Spirit being called the Spirit of Truth. The essence of Calvinism is this.....God saves some individuals by specifically choosing them from among the rest of humanity that He has created. All of those who are not elect spend eternity in unrelenting torture and this was determined before they were ever born. This has been decreed and believed by the calvinists. The God of their creation they call a God of Love.
The actions and will of God have redefined the word Love. So that the individual who loves is an ornery, cruel, nasty person who enjoys watching people and animals suffer. Compare this individual with the person of Christ. If you don't see the difference, you might be a calvinist.

My observation with the Calvinist clan is that they "intellectualize" the gospel and have books upon books backing every jot and tittle of their twisted view of scripture. Their philosophical approach complicates the simple gospel that even children should be able to understand. In order to understand their doctrine, it would take years and years of leader John Calvin study. Did God really make it that complicated???
Reminds me of Jesus' warning in Matthew 23:13 where he states "But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither go in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in." I believe that if anyone is truly saved in a Calvinist church it happened prior to getting sucked into Calvinism since there is no biblical gospel in Calvinism (but only election or "lucky lottery winners").
Their high mindedness "systematic theology" and 50¢ words (use to be 25¢ words prior to the recent inflation) corrupt the simple gospel that Jesus loves you, died for your sins, and is offering you the free gift of salvation if you so choose. Just like Adam and Eve, God gave them a choice.
I love Calvinist people. I just can't see God as someone who created the majority of people so he could hate them from the get-go out of the womb and throw them into hell (for his glory of course) with no choice whatsoever.

You love Calvinists so much that you project that they are Pharisees and "high minded" and actively twist Scripture. You have the same problem you say that Calvinists have - because you believe in an omnipotent God then that means you believe that God 100% KNOWS AND HAS THE ABILITY TO INTERVENE IF SOMEONE IS ON THEIR WAY TO HELL. Us Calvinists and you non-calvinists have the same problem of answering for that truth. The only difference is Calvinists can back up their interpretation with Scripture and you can not.

Many of you are in way over your head on the Michael Servetus case. Calvin complained repeatedly about Servetus' heresies. Ironically, these are heresies today proclaimed by the A/P/T crowd such as denial of original sin and various Trinity issues.
Calvin did neither prosecute nor convict Servetus of heresy. That was the work of the Genevan Council which also sentenced Servetus to death.
Where Calvin's name comes into the story and where the "goats" start slandering Calvin is that it was Calvin who suggested to the Council that Servetus be beheaded instead of burnt at the stake which was what the law mandated. In other words, the goats must know the history here and know that Servetus was condemned to die without Calvin's involvement at all. Now I suppose you can stay up all night musing over which one of those punishments is the lesser, but Calvin was trying to give the guy a break in a situation that Calvin had no control over.
Hope you notice that heresies, like the ones that some "Christians" espouse today nakedly, were taken seriously back then. That was a different time indeed. Much like the times of Moses and the children of Israel as they wandered in the wilderness.
This is a much longer story and I wish there were better RUclips videos on it. I have reached my self imposed blog limit since I neither write windy blogs nor read those of others.

@user-qs2hn1xo3l Phew back atcha. Certainly limited atonement can be biblically proven through Bible verse exegesis. But what if you could see that the Arminian/Provisionist atonement schema was impossible? I mean impossible like you cannot get there from here impossible? Let's use both Bible passages and Bible logic.
First, Brian himself in this video most definitely believes in limited atonement. Otherwise, he would believe in universal atonement. And there are some Christians, however mixed up, who believe that everyone is saved. Brian is a limited man on this issue.
But let's put this to the test. Pick your favorite OT lost person. Do you like Goliath? Pharoah? Ahab? Jezebel? Any will do.
According to Jesus in the NT, where are these folks right now and what are they doing? They are in Hell, experiencing forever the wrath of God against them, having died in their sins, and now paying for their sinfulness throughout eternity.
Now back to Jesus. If, say, Ahab is at this very moment experiencing the wrath of God forever and ever for his sins, then how could a just, righteous, and loving God force His wrath upon His Son on the cross 880 years later to pay for Ahab's sins when Ahab has been doing just that already for 880 years before Calvary? To believe that, we have the situation of Christ being crucified again, something really condemned in Hebrews 6. A/Ps love to see Jesus placed in theological double jeopardy as He suffers on the cross.
Further, we also run afoul of Isaiah 53 wherein we have the depiction of the suffering servant (Jesus) seeing the travail of His soul and being satisfied. Not dissatisfied. Not worrying about Ahab still suffering for Ahab's sins despite what Jesus would attempt to do for him. And we don't have a truly angry Son of God wondering why the Father is making Him die in vain for someone in Hell forever anyway. Do you see the many problems here?
In other words, Isaiah 53 is saying that Jesus is not some kind of masochist who just likes to suffer for sin; instead He suffers for the sins of a particular people, in this case, the elect. And only the elect. A limited (like Brian and Calvinists would both agree on) albeit large group of people. Jesus prays about this very thing in John 17 when he declines to pray for the world. And our Dear Lord is satisfied in His great work to save these elect people. The people given to Christ by the Father for salvation. Again, John 17.
This one teaching from God's word destroys Arminian/Provisionism in one move since we see here from God's word that Christ did not die for everyone. He died for the elect. Have a problem with that? Talk to the judge.
That will preach all day. Amen.

@user-qs2hn1xo3l Phew back atcha. This so called quandary is not a quandary at all. It is a God thing. The same scripture has the potential of blessing or condemning, depending on whether or not God has elected a person to salvation in the first place. Note how the Hebrews writer says that by faith Noah condemned the world as he built the ark and preached God's word to a dying world. Note also that back in Genesis you do not see a conversation between God and Noah where Noah asks God why there are not more first class passenger seats on the ark. God at first only says that Noah and his family will ride to safety. Brian and apparently you forget why the ark was built and floated in the first place. God had pronounced judgment against mankind, but would not carry it out for some one hundred years. Every day Noah was working on the ark, the under construction ark was a daily increasing pronouncement against man's wickedness.
And then the defining moment. The Bible says that God commanded Noah and his family to enter the ark. That verse in Genesis to me is the most scary and stark election verse in the OT. Why? Because the moment God shut up Noah and crew inside the ark, everyone inside that ark knew they were elected unto salvation. But everyone outside that door was doomed to Hell and reside there even now as I write and you read this comment.
And there is always some Arminian who gets this next point wrong. God did not create fresh evil in the hearts of the doomed. He did not need to. Why? God just took his hands off the lives of the doomed and let the default condition of man (original sin) run its course. God chose and gave grace and mercy to Noah and crew. The people on the ground got the justice, according to God's command, that they deserved. Arminians, if you have a problem with that, talk to the Judge.

I'm not a calvinist, and I certainly don't believe in calvinism; nor the way calvinist explains God's sovereignty, or ideas of predestination and election.
For one it's makes no since; how would a calvinist spout his beliefs about predestination and election, believing he himself is one of the predestined elected one's; sounds arrogant to me.
It least the pentecostals who has another interpretation of scripture I don't agree with; says you have to have the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidents of speaking tongues; in order to know you've received Holy Spirit, and therefore have assurance of salvation and actually be saved. At least there's involves an external act of God, which it could be said, you know there one of the chosen, or predestined ones because God has gifted them his Holy Spirit and proved it by causing them to speak in tongues, that makes more since then calvinism to me, and I don't even agree with that.
Plus the bible make it clear, that many people will think they have intimacy and relationship with Him; but not actually know Him, they'll only know of, or about Him, like the bible says in:
Matthew 7:22-24 where he talks about many saying lord lord.
Matthew 25:41 where he talks about goats and sheeps
1 Corinthians 13:1-25 where he talks about moving in all the giftings, but having no love for other's springing out of his love for you, therefore missing the point of why you're even saved.
Plus the bible makes it clear knowing God through Jesus is eternal life: John 17:3
"3 Now this is eternal life: that they may know You, the only true [supreme and sovereign] God, and [in the same manner know] Jesus [as the] Christ whom You have sent."
Knowing God is eternal life, not praying a prayer to go heaven; or trying to figure out who's chosen or predestined whatever that means; and we know we know Him through this simple action; the love you have for other's; like the bible says: 1st John 4:7-9
"7 Beloved, let us [unselfishly] love and seek the best for one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves [others] is born of God and knows God [through personal experience]. 8 The one who does not love has not become acquainted with God [does not and never did know Him], for God is love. [He is the originator of love, and it is an enduring attribute of His nature.] 9 By this the love of God was displayed in us, in that God has sent His [One and] only begotten Son [the One who is truly unique, the only One of His kind] into the world so that we might live through Him."
Look I personally believe like the scripture state's in Matthew 24:14 "For many are called (invited, summoned), but few are chosen.” " I believe God has given me understanding on that verse, and it means, we're all called by God to believe on Christ without whom no one can be saved, God wants everyone to come unto everlasting life He wants all of us to heed the call and believe on Christ, that's why he sent Him so that the world through Him may be save.
And I believe we're all chosen through Christ, meaning we're all chosen to become love, through personal and intimate relationship with God through Christ His son, not do love but become love so that it's not what we do; it becomes who we are, and out of who we are (love), we love other's
So we're all chosen to walk in unselfish love toward one another; loving and seeing each other the way we see God loves and sees us.
But here's where the (few) comes in, there are few that choose to become lov; or that are willing to become love, a lot of us refuse to let go of bitterness, hatred, selfishness, envy, Jealousy, ill will and so on, they close there hearts up and hold on to rights to have un-forgiveness all these thing's are contrary to love; In the Bible says if you don't love you don't know God; not you don't go to church, not you don't believe in calvinism, not you don't sing and pray to Him, it's say if you don't love you don't know Him.
Look I believe God only truly choose and elected one person, that person being Jesus and through Him all of humanity was given the right to become His children, we're all chosen to believe on Jesus God's not calling all and choosing some,
we're all called, we're all chosen, but the way you live your life reflects what you say you believe, if you know Him you'll love like Him. Because the fruit of your life is gonna be the expression of what you believe, you know them by there fruits not there doctrine, it's says if you love you know God, if you don't love you just don't know him, and goal of our instruction is love; anyone who loves is born of Him and knows Him, and knowing him is eternal life.
The goats and the sheep parable had to do with love, one group loved and the other group didn't, one group saw the needs of others opened there heart toward them in unselfish love and made attempts to meet that need at there own expense, the other group saw the need closed there heart up in selfishness and refused, or had some excuse as to why they couldn't help when they probably really could have.

Calvinists constantly isolate a text out of context, sometimes even only part of one verse like pretty much whenever they cite John 15: 16 and only mention the part that suits their false view of election. I have it in comments and seen in videos from Calvinists a ton of times in which they simply say John 15: 16 proves Calvinism is true because Jesus said to the Apostles, "You didn't choose me, but I chose you" and they claim that is being chosen for salvation. But they chopped off the rest of the verse which explains what they were chosen for, which is not salvation but for service.
Here is the whole verse, "Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you." Preaching the Gospel to bear fruit (other Christians) is what they were chosen for and that fruit has remained 2000 years later with millions and millions of Christians all around the world that all started with Jesus and His Apostles he chose to go out and be the first to preach the Gospel. And Judas was chosen but was not saved and he failed to do the service evidenced by Acts 1: 25 when Matthias took Judas' place. It says he failed his ministry and apostleship. Here is that verse, "That he [Matthias] may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place."
And though my above comment should have prompted you to respond with something relevant to my video, you still have not said one thing that is reference to my video. You just ranted about channels that call out Calvinism for what it is, a false religious system made by men. And since you brought it up, "whosoever believes" and "all the believing ones" shall not perish but have everlasting life is saying exactly the same thing and does not change the invitation to all to believe and be saved. And you can't get around the fact that the same exact sentiment is given in the prior verse, 15. "Pas" is Greek for everyone, and does not mean elect. So, everyone who believes will have eternal life. Calvinists say, not so fast! You must be elect or you can't truly believe and receive eternal life. They disregard the true Gospel and preach a false man-made gospel.

Calvinism is dying off again in case you haven't been paying attention. It is a very dangerous set of false doctrines. That is why they are holding so many conferences to defend Calvinism in recent years and using stealth methods of infiltrating pastor roles in Non-Calvinist churches trying to take them over and eventually weed out those who will not comply with the new direction. Calvinists leaders are struggling to keep people blind to the actual Scriptures. It is a cult that has surged and shrunk back over and over again over time, and it surged again in the early 2000's with the young restless and reformed movement but it is shrinking back again because it is not sustainable because it is not Biblical and it hits a high point and then real Christians start to raise the alarms within Christianity and teach people what Scripture actually says and how different that is from the reformed systematic theology books and confessionals.

Secondly, I understand that you do not like these doctrines but I do think to set yourself up as the “bible believing” Christian and to see dissenters from your opinion as just those “calvinists” is arrogant; what you are saying is that 1/2 of the reformation whom adhered to the 5 solas were not bible believing when many of them were burned alive for doing so eg (Cranmer, Ridley, many French Huguenots, in fact that’s why the dreaded Calvin’s Institutes was written). Now I am not trying to infer simply because there was martyrs for a belief the belief was true, but these men were martyrs for believing that the bible was the final and only infallibility authority and so I think it is wrong for you to set yourself up as the bible believing Christian and dissenters are not. Because, respectfully, free grace was not a historically Christian view of sorteriology until the 20th century and so I think that you should be far more respectful as even if you were right (in which I actually think you are incredibly mistaken) you should show far more love and grace to your brothers unless your answer to the first question was yes as then you think all Calvinist’s are unsaved if they truly believe it.
Thirdly, why are you misrepresenting Calvinism, to make videos on it you must be well researched; so why do you not present it faithfully?. To say that it’s just those whom God elected it doesn’t matter about belief etc and that people do not need to respond they just need to be chosen. Do you know this is a misrepresentation. Brother it’s dishonest. Calvinism affirms that one must believe in fact John Calvin called faith the foundation of true Christianity essentially. I do not want to make this any longer but from watching your videos, I am honestly trying to suggest something here not point score, I think that you should research the fall in Calvinistic soteriology because I think this may clear up your hatred for the doctrine of reprobation and election.

I am not misrepresenting Calvinism at all. I have studied it thoroughly, probably far more so than the average person attending a Presbyterian or Reformed Baptist church, and my teachings on it are based upon its doctrines and the application of said doctrines and systematic theology. I recognize that not all Calvinists fully believe everything that is Calvinism. There are 3 point and 4 point Calvinists and those who affiliate with Calvinism that don't even understand what they are following. That is why certain Calvinists speak up and say they don't believe that or I am misrepresenting them. I find that many Calvinists don't even adhere or practice all the doctrines of Calvinism, which is a good thing. They should ditch all of them. Calvinism is false and from Satan and like Satan it deceives and indoctrinates with subtly and cunning. It is very cult-like. If that bothers people to hear, then they are bothered by the truth.

All arguments against Calvinism lack substance, but this one especially lacks any sort of theological comprehension, and frankly a poor grasp of literature in general. The argument here can simply be dialed down to "I view this as mean, therefore it's NOT right", trying to save God from himself as if He needs saving or justification for what he does, nothing of theological substance here. This isn't a philosophy debate, our opinions have no basis to change the reasoning of God and words of the Bible.

Brian, your key issue is that you do not understand grace. A conditional or provisional gift is not a gift. God's grace. One needs to look no further than Ephesians 2: 8-9.
First, what is grace? Is it a requirement from God? Is grace a debt that God somehow owes mankind? No, it is a gift as the Ephesians passage clearly says.
Second, who is giving this gift? Well, the Bible clearly says grace is a gift of God.
Third, when speaking of a gift, God's gift of grace, exactly who alone in the Ephesians chapter possesses the donative intent and ability to give the gift? Why God, of course.
Fourth, then who alone possesses and controls all of the circumstances about how the gift, if given at all, is dispensed to whomever the gift is given? In other words, who decides whether the gift is given at all, when it is given, how it is given, etc? God is the sole controller about the gift.
Fifth, is grace even a gift at all and if not, then what is it? The Bible says there is nothing we as lousy sinners can do to require God to give us this gift, nothing we can do to deserve it , work for it, wish for it, pay for it. And if we could perform any of these works, then it would not be a gift at all but a debt duly owed to us for services rendered.
The understanding of grace is at the center of the biblical doctrine of God's sovereign election unto salvation. God decides who is saved and when and how they are saved.
Once you understand this doctrine you will see it on practically every page of the Bible. And you will see the difference between God's grace and God's beneficence. "The rain falls on the just and the unjust". God's salvation, His grace, is not given to everyone by God's own choice. John 17: "I do not pray for the world". [Jesus praying]. God's own election.
Why? We do not know, but the Bible clearly says it, although God tips His hand when the Bible speaks of God doing things based on His pleasure and His sovereign purposes. Romans 8 and 9.
If a person claiming to be a Christian does not accept what the Bible says about grace, then that person must look themselves in the mirror and ask, "Just how self righteous was I before salvation"?
Jonathan Edwards said that the only thing we bring to Christ in salvation is our sin which makes our salvation necessary. Was your salvation necessary? What did you bring to the table? Now do you care to boast about anything you may have brought?
Quit playing the villain Brian. Get your theology straight.

The Holy Spirit regenerates the lost person (who has no ability to appraise spiritual things (1Cor 2:14)), changing the "want to" of the doomed sinner, giving that person through grace saving faith in Christ.
The now redeemed sinner is now forever clothed in the righteousness of Christ (2Cor5:21). Once in Heaven, the saint walks the streets of gold forever. No earthly transportation needed.

This is essentially a straw man argument. Calvin was a Reformer. He believed in the principles of sola Scriptura, sola gratia, sola fide, sola Christo.
But in a sense, that is all irrelevant. Calvin himself has long since gone on to his eternal reward, and couldn't care less what Brian thinks about him. The real question is, what does the Bible teach about Total Depravity, Unconditional Election, Limited Atonement, Irresistible Grace, and Perseverance of the Saints?
(Calvin, for that matter, was an expository preacher who also wrote commentaries on most of the books of the Bible. How many anti-Calvinists have done that?)
A "Calvinist" could also just as easily argue that it is anti-Calvinists, like Brian, who are perverting the meaning of the Bible. They typically ignore practically everything that the Bible has to say about the sovereignty of God, His holiness, His moral law, His wrath against sin, the depravity of man, and the work of the Holy Spirit in salvation. They wrongly assume that an unregenerate sinner has a free will (nowhere in the Bible does it say any such thing), and in the process the concept of regeneration practically disappears. Evangelism becomes merely a matter of human persuasion, of salesmanship, and the life-changing work of the Holy Spirit practically disappears.
I would strongly urge you to read through Romans and Ephesians, starting with the first verse in each book and read all the way through, carefully following the line of argument. I think you will see where Calvin got most of his theology.

Similarly, they want US to prove that we are really saved ie: (sons of God) by our own works just like the enemy tried to get the Lord to do.
But like Jesus we say: IT IS WRITTEN!
And we proclaim the true Gospel of Grace. We do not go out and produce Ishmaels. We are like Abraham who staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; he was fully persuaded that what God had promised, he was able also to perform.

Michael Servetus was a socinian who did not only deny Calvin's view on scripture or salvation, but the concept of the trinity itself. We know from private correspondence that Calvin advised Servetus against coming to Geneva as the standard treatment for blasphemy was execution by burning. This may mean little to you, but Calvin even advocated for execution by beheading for Servetus as it was a quicker and less painful method.
In terms of those whom he was trying to convert, he was mostly dealing with Catholics and Anabaptists. Anabaptists at the time were sporadic in their doctrine due to their rejection of tradition and confessionalism so they could be marginally safe in their doctrine or wildly heretical to the point some believed they no longer required clothing.
Calvin was far from perfect in his dealings, but if you were to only look for perfect men to follow or preach the gospel then the only one you have left is Christ himself and you should happily delete your channel because I'm sure that rules you out too.

I never suggested John Calvin is being called out for not being perfect? That is a gross mischaracterization of what was presented in this video. Apostle Paul wasn't perfect either, having persecuted and overseen the killing of Christians when he was a Pharisee, but he got saved and repented and never did that again, and he became a martyr himself for preaching the Gospel. John Calvin died of sickness, not as a martyr but he saw to the demise and martyrdom of others for sure, and then he died early, unrepentant and my guess is he was never saved at all, but just another typical legalistic religious elitist as delusional as one could ever be about their eternal fate.

Okay, don't forget Saul the Pharisee. He was a religious zealot who murdered Christians before becoming the saved Apostle Paul. He repented and then only exhibited love towards everyone, even his persecutors unto death as a martyr. But, if you want to look at the other examples for justification of murdering people who don't share in your specific Calvinistic doctrines such as John Calvin and Servetus, you only give credibility to the warning I gave Christians in another recent video I did. I taught a message on the two religions of the world, Cain and Abel, about works religion vs grace and faith. I spoke about how Cain killed Abel and gave the reason for that, and explained how history has shown us that Cain kills Abel over and over and over again, and always will as history always repeats itself.
Today, Calvinists in America are restrained by the law of our land and don't want to go to jail. Their evil rhetoric towards religious opponents shows us what is in their hearts. They emulate the god they have formed in their own minds, a god who loves some and hates all others and wants to expend his wrath on those whom he rejected.
History proves that when Christians make the laws we outlaw murder and stealing and things of a sinful nature, but we don't demand submission to our faith and we lovingly preach the Gospel of Christ to the lost with patience. However, history proves that if Calvinists were somehow given control of the law and the courts, they would deem any other religious doctrines outside their own as heretical punishable by death and they would start mass round ups and systematically killing off those who refuse to submit to their authority and control because Calvinism is Cain and Bible Believing Christianity is Abel.
