Thanks for sharing this one. It's novel for sure. Sometimes these products wow on the cool factor but I can't believe this would be as good as a simple pepper spray. One shot and you're done, whereas a pepper spray you can spray multiple times.

At first look, it does seem impressive. However, considering the effectiveness, it's not a short range item. For short range, the key would be much more effective. You must also consider the possibility of more than one attacker. The possibility of reloading really doesn't give enough time. Aside from those 2, the cost is the game changer. You might need 2 or 3 of them to be truly protected. I wouldn't be willing to spend that much money. Thanks for the demonstration, I'm always looking for new information and new products. Hopefully, they will be able to lower the price as they grow.

I just purchased one of these I was wondering, can I use the 8 g? Co2 that I use for the. Byrna pepper ball I can't find these particular. Co2s

Sadly, pepper balls are crimes in California ( OC must be an approved type, and administered only via an aerosol) If you can get the manufacturer to provide a Fentanyl, or THC load, we could probably carry them for "personal use" as medicinal applicators...We could carry them with kinetic rounds, but I doubt that these would hurt much....maybe load them with crystals and patchouli oil so we can fire them into peoples Chakras? I am trying to find a vendor who will load Holy Water into .50 Caliber projectiles for my Umarex! Damn vampires.
Yeah, on this one I do agree. The kinetic rounds are fantastic if you’re using one of the modified HTP 50s, but you are right on this one it wouldn’t be super effective. it never ceases to amaze me how California, and other states, have refused to allow their citizens to protect themselves while simultaneously allowing crime to increase.
@@AlternateArmsSD So far Byrna is the only company that has provided a way to let those of us in California to buy Pepperball and Pepperball Max ammo. The testing they've provided isn't too hard, but it is detailed so you need to pay attention.
Hey John, just wondering if there is any guns for self defense that work without co2 like a bb or pellet gun or something like that. Also wondering where I could buy those amazing guns as Amazon doesn’t really provide much.
Well, sort of. I’m actually working with a manufacturer that is supposed to have a spring loaded pepper ball launcher. I have yet to test it though so I would never recommend it :-) as far as BB or pellet guns, theoretically you could use both if you were close enough and proficient with a Weapon.
Now you could always go with one of the mace and pepper sprays or pepper gels. I do have a very interesting that pepper gel launcher that I’m gonna be testing on the channel shortly. I am intrigued because it’s got the accuracy of a pepperball but this stuff is nasty. It sticks to you. Not only does it have the pepper spray aspect but it also has a dye built in to identify the attacker.

@@AlternateArmsSD really exited for that spring loaded one! Any recommendations on bb or pellet guns that work without co2 though? A friend of mine wants one but she’s worried about the co2 running out or being bulky. She’s also afraid of using pepper projectiles or sprays. Personally I’d instantly go for an hdp 50 but I don’t really know much about bbs or pellets, especially the few ones that work perfectly without co2.
Can you use glass slingshot ammo in .50 cal on .50 cal less lethal weapon
You can indeed. I’ve tested glass and ceramic without any issues. However, both of them tend to shatter when they hit solid objects sending shrapnel every direction. Be careful as those could be lethal.

How long can you leave it loaded will the gas eventually leak out
On these, indefinitely. The nitrogen is not punctured until you use it. That’s one of the things that makes these so amazing!

Am i the only one that had to reread the title PENSHOT? 😂 That thing is pretty cool and those n2o cartridges. Is there actually a projectile in them or is it a sort of powder launcher? Should cut one open and have a peek.
Well, after the video I fired a ton more. It has a plastic insert that contains the powder. (Sort of like a shotgun shell) It moves so fast I couldn’t see it though :) This company should go far if they keep putting out amazing stuff like this!
