I really think your channel is underrated as hell. Good content and proper explanation on how the camera works and the film history. Hardly seen anyone showing the Polaroid Originals in a their Spectras.
I bought last year a brand new, mint in box, Spectra AF in a bundle with closeup lens and duplicator. Three months later they announced that they were discontinuing the film. I love the camera and the film format. I never got the film stuck in my camera. I still have some Spectra Film in color and B & W. I will use it soon. It is sad that such a great camera system will be idle forever in my closet after I am done with the film I have left.
Many of us are dealing with the same problem right now, and it makes us all sad to think such a great format if film will no longer be available. The only thing we can do now is just think about the good memories its brought us and hope for the best. It was great while it lasted and it’ll forever be in our hearts.
This is my first time on your channel! I loved the video, very informational and fun to watch how the pictures turned out! I just found one of these models in the attic while cleaning and wanted more info! Thanks again for sharing!!
That’s crazy how that spectra camera was your first. I didn’t even know it existed till years later when impossible project came back! Solid video dude!
The last film for it is $75 per pack currently. Expired packs. But I can't let the film go to waste. So I bought 2 packs. I'm not gonna vlog it. Just gonna share the pics with my family if they turn out well.
Unfortunately, this film has been discontinued since March 2020, it’s available through different online marketplaces but I find that to be too expensive. I hope this helps!
Like most Polaroid cameras, the camera is powered through the pack of film since it has a battery within the pack, once it is inserted, the dark slide spits out and you’re ready to shoot.
Ryan Oliveira Yes I’ve been shooting the new rebranded film since they first announced. I can say the picture quality is amazing!!! My previous videos I shot with the new film and I also shoot film off camera and it’s great! I highly recommend.
@@InstantAnalogAdventures Thanks ! It's good to know that they're improving on the film quality, at least that or a decrease in price, but I don't think the price will go down much from what it is now. I'd love to shoot with an SX-70, my dream instant camera, but the price of the film is still pretty expensive.
@@D3fa_lt get a Spectra case and load 600 in it, place it all the way to the left corner and you can use 600 batteries too. I have a Spectra and comes out smooth it is not very great tbh lots of downside, very inconvenient can only fit 1 pic

Dope video. I'm getting a Spectra AF and Spectra Pro in the mail soon with an adapter bay to shoot i-type/600.

Thanks so much, this camera is a gem! Always will be. Glad you enjoyed the vid! :)
Where can I purchase a spectra cartridge?
Nice video! Thanks for the review.
I just got one of these at a thrift store today, and was super excited but now I'm just sad watching a bunch of videos like this.

I can’t find no more film for it lol, would color 600 film work?
Technically it can work, there is a way to do it but highly risky. I’m not sure where film is available atm since it was discontinued last year.

Where do I get the film???!

Does this camera required a charger? Or does it only turn on as long as you have film in it?
Like most Polaroid cameras, the camera is powered through the pack of film since it has a battery within the pack, once it is inserted, the dark slide spits out and you’re ready to shoot.
Nice video! keep it up
Teniente Dan thank you! :)
Have you tried the new Polaroid 600/SX-70 film (rebranded) ? If so, did the image quality improve from the previous Polaroid Originals film ?
Ryan Oliveira Yes I’ve been shooting the new rebranded film since they first announced. I can say the picture quality is amazing!!! My previous videos I shot with the new film and I also shoot film off camera and it’s great! I highly recommend.

There’s actually a way to shoot i-type/600 in Spectra cameras
How?
Oh yeah, I've tried it before and it was fun :)
Instant Analog Adventures oh cool! I’ve not tried it just yet, I’m still shooting the Spectra film first...
Can you reload spectra cases with i600 film?
