Ceri-no need to respond but I want you to know you have become an important part of my creative life. You are wholesome, transparent and incredibly talented. I’m always inspired and excited to try new things. I appreciate you.
So glad you share your personal side with us. That’s a big step to do! Enjoy your monthly chats. Have a Blessed day!
Thank you! You too Donita
Good evening dear Ceri, thank you so much for being so candid about yourself and your journey with us. I do appreciate you. Have a blessed night, big hugs ❤❤
Thanks Ceri, enjoyed that talk very much ( laughed and cried) I'm off to explore and have a go at climbing out of my 'whatever it is' I've been in these last few months! ....I always felt there was a bit more to that saying, (master of none) so, kicking myself into action....umm...but .maybe I'll wait til the morning! 😊 have a great day! ((Lyn))😊
lol…have fun
What a lovely conversation. You have such a warm, sweet spirit, Ceri Griffiths. Watching you do art, sharing a cup of coffee and the thought of the day or hearing you answer questions, it is always beautiful. ❤❤❤
Thank you Julie that’s very kind of you.
Un-PC it may be but I have very fond memories of sitting watching the Black and White minstrels on TV with my father as a child. They were wonderful talented entertainers (all other issues aside). Thank you for this and all your videos, I always find something that inspires me.
It was history and without it we can’t learn and evolve.
Thank you for sharing your remarkable and very personal journey through your creative life. You have helped me immensely by being willing to share your thoughts, process, and emotions. Art cannot exist without passion, and that is what I see every time you show up in front of us--very inspiring!
Thank you
21:05 If the well is dry, (meaning you haven’t put inspiration in the tank in whatever form inspires you), there will be nothing to create from. It is a NECESSITY to replenish the well in order to feel inspired. Do whatever it is that fills that well for you. Get outside, walk, run, amble, go to the library, read a new book, listen to a new piece of music, read poetry, go shopping (even browse online if you’re not mobile), go to a museum, watch children play and interact with each other, explore with a child or grandchild. (Their wonder at discovering new things is inspiring!) anything you can do to fill the well. Learn a new skill. All things inform each other when making creative decisions.
Absolutely
Absolutely love it when you chat with us. I can appreciate your sense of loss regarding the stage. That quote about a dancer dying twice.... ugh! Got me right in the heart. Hope you have a wonderful week!
Blessings from Oregon, USA
Ceri, love the once a month videos, they are inspiring and we get to know you better are yourself too, always a pleasure thank you for all of us, Ceri.
Thank you for sharing your stories. I can remember watching the Black and White Minstrels as a child. Brings back memories. ❤
The two things I adore in this world are the colour purple and cake. 💜
I always love your openness and your vulnerability. These videos are just wonderful. Thank you. 💗
When I run out of creative ideas I set about decluttering my work space. That (usually) does the trick. If not, I take time off. How much time depends on how burnt out I am. Maybe days, maybe weeks. Most times though, all I need is a good movie and a pint of Haagen Dazs. Thanks, Mr. Ceri.
Sounds great to me, I love ice cream
😊😊just a fabulous question answer time. listening to you describe that Kaluha cake is making my tastebuds water! You are so artistic and creative in what and how you say things as well as in the artistic world! Thank you for sharing these insights into you and your life.
You are so welcome Cathy
It’s great to get to know you better - I like this format. You are one of my favorite inspirations 🙂
Thank you Judy.
Very inspiring Ceri. So many relevant points. Much appreciate the time and effort you put into these sessions 🎉

You just make me smile, every time I watch your posts! A great artist and a kind soul, a great teacher!❤️
Thanks so much 😊
I am like that I do not watch tv much. But watch utube Watching people like you and other wonderful creative people and learn sooooooo much
Thank you for joining me for my lunchtime, I've really enjoyed listening to you, thank you for sharing xx😊
You are so welcome Michelle
Once again thank you for sharing, for inspiring and bringing such enthusiasm into my life. 😊
You are always so interesting to listen to. I appreciate your thoughts😊❤
You’re a lovely Ceri ! I am like that as long as I am creating I am happy ! In those dark moments when my creativity is low , I will also just redirect my attention to something else or get together with my friends I have neglected a bit ! And then all of a sudden all is right with my creative world again !
So true
I appreciate your talent! I wish I had just my pinky finger of your talent! 😊 I so enjoyed hearing your experiences!
Thank you so much Mary
Great video and some great ideas for getting inspired. Thanks for sharing with us 😊
Thanks for watching Tammy
I am not saying this so someone feels pitty for me, but I spend most of my time alone or with my grown-ish children due to illness. I don´t really have grown intelligent discussions and interactions with people my age, that have interesting topics to talk about, and I so so miss that. I so love listening to you talk and analyze and even see you yourself having revelations during your own talks. 45 min goes fast. I was shoking up with you thinking of all the fun things I now am missing out on being ill. I had a rich life. I am happy I have found different art to dabble in and its beautiful community.
❤️

Such a great chat, very candid and positive ideas xx
More awesomeness Ceri ☕
I rewatched this today with a migraine but I am a 64 year old female from the US and other than you liking walnut very much (it’s a so so with me), we are almost just alike. I’m not a huge chocolate cake fan either).
I am blessed to have a lot of family history and am a grandmother to 11 and most of our family is all about 20 minutes apart. I am sorry that you don’t have lots of family.
I did not know all of the things that you have done in your life but will try to learn much more!
You are awesome!
LOL I'm with you, not fussy on Chocolate cake!! I truly enjoy these Question videos. Thank you!
Thank you for sharing. Your insights are very interesting to me and I learn a lot.
Ahh Ceri, you did such a fine job of describing the feeling of being on stage and leaving it behind. When I was a young girl, (decades ago), I performed in "skits" for the PTA at school. (parent teachers asscociation back then), and that magic that the stage brings last forever. I left it behind, married young and never pursured stage play again. I have never forgotten the feeling of walking onto the stage and dipping into the most fantastic world that could ever be in this life. You brought to life such marvelous memories of that time in my life and I thank you!!! I so enjoyed your entire video as you always share the most delightful stories. Again, many thanks. Blessings to you and yours, and Hi to Biscuit
Thank you from both of us.
I so enjoyed this Ceri, I too don't like chocolate cake,I thought I was the only one, but my absolute favourite is lumberjack cake, but when I make it, I make it like a pudding, it's just so yummie. It brought tears to my eyes when you said how you missed show business, I always wanted to do that but was never allowed, however I did do tap dancing, and Zumba as an adult, and I always loved craft which has saved the day for me on many occassions. It was a great talk, thanks for sharing with us all. 😃
You’re welcome, thank you
That was very interesting Ceri. Thank you.
Love&hugs to you and Biscuit ❤❤
❤️❤️
Ceri, you're not on your own, I hate chocolate cake. I don't care for chocolate at all, but I also love coffee walnut cake with coffee buttercream.
My friends think I'm barmy.
Thanks for your insights. My craft room is also my sanctuary, I relax as soon as I walk in. Sometimes, I just walk in and look around for a minute or so, and I feel great again.
Looking forward to your next video. Love Christine x
I have to get to where I "trust the process" or even realize I have to get through the ugly to get to the beautiful. I do so love these "chats".
Thank you
Always happy to get the answers!
Ceri, I am right there with ya on the chocolate cake thing! It comforts me to know that I'm not alone! 🙂
Marvelous video. I thoroughly enjoyed your answers to all the questions.
So glad
Thanks for awnser to all of our questions. Untill next time ❤
I love listening to you answering these questions. You are such an excellent communicator, and your stories are always inspiring. And I agree about fussy cutting…my least favorite thing as well. Thanks for the great video!
Thank you so much Shannon
Great questions. Glad you’re doing this with us! Also, on an upcoming video can you show the whole piece of artwork that is behind you with the word influence and dragonfly?
I’ll try to make sure it’s shown in the studio yearly tour.
@@CeriGriffiths ok! Thanks!
Fabulous as always, Ceri, but I tickled over your least fav cake!! Not a fan of chocolate myself, but my mom used to make a scratch black walnut cake that I so miss. Sigh. TY for sharing!!
Love your videos. I really enjoyed your advice for creative block. I do some of the same things to trick myself as well. One time I had such bad burn out from making costumes for school productions that I gave myself time off and rearranged my entire studio to inspire myself to sew again, which did the trick.
Wonderful
Love the stories of yr life. Uniquely you. Captured in words texture colour projects. Keep doing you ❤
Thank you so much 😀
Some questions need a long winded answer... 😊
My mom passed and finally, this spring, after 2yrs not being able to paint or craft in any way I found watercolors- super cheap ones. But they started something. The previous dry spell was after my husband passed .... I ended up completing (15) 70 page 5x3 sketch books as I just couldnt lift a brush just a pencil and eraser.
Looking back, I have tons of acrylic ideas from the books. Just finishing a 30 page watercolor book, #6 since march - but I switched to Kuretaki Gansi paint that really got me going again. I guess one needs to switch things up and practice self patience.
To hear you speaking of your entertaining days... just want to send you hugs.
❤
I’m so pleased you’re finding a way forward.
This was so heart warming. 💙
I don't like chocolate cake either. However, I love your videos and they are as much of a treat for me as the most delicious cake you could imagine! I'm in drydock at the moment, but I know it will pass.
Yes it will
I'm with you on the chocolate cake. I can pass that up and be just fine with it.
I need to get out and go for walks again. I live in a beautiful canyon and there is so much to inspire me here. Also, fussy cutting. I start to get an idea of what can be made. Lately, I’ve had cravings for date and walnut (anything). Thanks for the Q and A today. While listening to your life, I’ve started reflecting on mine. I’m 68 and have started jotting down a memory here and there. Sometimes that jogs something else. As always, thanks for sharing. Looking forward to the new year.
This is very fun and interesting, Ceri! Thank you for be willing to share. Funny about the chocolate cake. I eat a lot and I mean A LOT of pain dark chocolate everyday. But I don't care for chocolate cake! Have a great week! ❤
Oh don’t get me wrong I like chocolate but not chocolate cake, I also love dark chocolate.
@@CeriGriffiths Yes, funny that we both like chocolate but not really chocolate cake. It was helpful to hear you say that chocolate can sometimes dry out in the baking. That is one of the things I have never liked about chocolate cake, it's often dry.
Ceri, I do enjoy these sessions of you telling us a bit more about yourself.
We are all different but also alike.
I love chocolate but not in chocolate ice cream. I hate coffee but love it in desserts. Go figure!😊
Have a blessed day and TFS.❤
Thank you
I want to share, that I learned how to do utube lives. I showed my making of postcards on live. Now, I have a weekly art live show. ❤
That is awesome, I’m not brave enough to do lives yet.
@@CeriGriffiths There were mistakes. And I learned the program to bring utube lives. Haha, I did not know any of the terms they used. I just took the plunge and learned as I go. Probably my ADHD brain. I take risks. Love your shows.
Are there any recordings of you performing? Dancing or on stage?
Not many and I’d not be able to share them because of music copyrite and choreographic copyrite. I am trying to father photos though.
I enjoyed this video🥰
Thank you and I’m pleased you found it helpful.
Your mom and mine were born on the same year Ceri❤ I enjoyed this video very much. I want to know NOW about the next year challenge, I need time to do my animations😂❤
Myriam I promise you’ll know enough in advance.
Hello ❤❤❤from Beautiful British Columbia Canada 🇨🇦
.I am never going to coffee dye paper...tea possibly, stale coffee is nasty.
I took photos in all the public washrooms on my yearly trip to Portland...fu😅
Wonderful, thank you Marguerite
Ceri a lot of crafters that I follow (myself included) call it “cussy cutting” instead of “fussy cutting”. I think that my fingers are too big to cut little things out!! 🤣🤣
Mine too
Temu has many text stamps. I have purchased many and am very satisfied with the quality
Thank you for sharing you creativity and you life with us, I always watch your videos and so enjoyed your July postcard play. I have a question please. If a challenge like yours are being run by other artists that you do not follow, how and where is it possible to find out about it?
I think if you were to put arts and crafts challenge into the RUclips search bar it might come up, or if you were to join or follow certain creators who create similar things to you then you’d see their posts which launch events.
💜💜💜
Would you consider making a grid for us who are not makers of grids to purchase?
Lori I could make one however the issue is what size as we all have different page sizes.
@@CeriGriffiths hum this is true let me think on this.
@@CeriGriffiths the size you use is great because it can be used as 4 or two I think your grid template is perfect or you could make like stacking grid does as a bundle.
