Original song name is Zajdi, zajdi, jasno sonce - singed by Aliye Mutlu.
English Lyrics:
-
Set, set bright sun,
Set, blackout
And you clear moonlight too
Run away, drown yourself.
Sad forest, sad sister,
Let’s be sad together
You- for your leaves, forest
Me- for my youth.
Your leaves, forest - my sister,
Are going to get back to you
My youth, forest - my sister,
It’s not coming back.

Despite the arcady gameplay of Battlefield 1, the developers went above and beyond painting the utter grimness, despair and waste of human life WW1 caused. There were no good guys in that war. Nothing good came out of that war, not even a satisfying conclusion.
"They called it the Great War... there was nothing great about it."
Lyrics better as
Sun go down, drown- you too moon.
And it’s about the era of the Macedonian fading out - dying of
Old age- the end of an era. Simply
Because it’s ways had faded in the Roman roads and ways.
Not many eras got that big lasted that long and had the privilege of dying of old age over being wiped out instead. A remarkable tribute song a remarkable message and insight and a remarkable memorial to a distinguished way for a great period of time that people identified life itself with for so long. Truly a great legend and creature in its own right transcending animals physical properties as species on earth. This era itself was alive because it died.
This game made me cry.
This game is still very active today, I play it daily as it brings nostalgia to when it first came out.. graphics and gameplay is amazing, multiplayer is full of full lobbies! I’m so happy battlefield 1 didn’t die yet.. and this song just omg. Not sure if it’s Macedonian or Bulgarian or arabic(definitely isn’t but sounds like one) literally gives crazy tingles . I really hope game developers make more games like this .
The song is a Macedonian folk song and was sung by Turkish singer Aliye Mutlu in the Battlefield 1 game.
The singer's ancestors date back to the Ottoman Empire. What a meaningful production. THANK YOU EA GAMES...
The goosebumps and the chill in your spine.
Instant goosebumps man

“Your a real ausie now kid”
Best bf1 song
It bring back good times i had before it all gone 👍
Hope things are better now pal
It is nice that so many film and game makers and singers are using the Bulgarian folk song ""Zajdi Zaidi"
as well as many other Bulgarian folk songs. We in Bulgaria are very proud of this fact. Our love to all people that love them.
Aliye Mutlu is singing it so nicely. Thank her very much!

I spent 4 years in Saudi Arabia and nothing gives the flavor of the Middle East like this. It brings me to tears every time I listen to it and then I pick up a gun and get on with it. Beautiful music. I'm one of those sensitive video gamers.
How'd you like it? Is it just like what we hear about on tv?
@@Axxxel_in_Harlem I lived in a company compound with mostly European and American contractors. The Saudis do not take too well to Western ways so it was nice to have the separation. They are for the most part very friendly but we are from different beginnings. It will take time for East to meet West.
@@BatGuano-CA By not taking too well to Western ways, do you mean they don't participate in them? Because if so, many Saudis aren't able to engage in mostly western activities, like drinking and what have you, because of religious reasons. Doesn't mean that they don't want to though! Or that they outright despise anyone who engages in them! In fact, a lot of Saudis these days, especially young Saudis, are becoming more and more open when it comes to religion, and are willing to even break some religious rules. I would say you weren't so "lucky" when it came to bonding with Saudis because you probably met mostly old, English-non speaking Saudis.
I'm a Saudi btw! :)
@@Axxxel_in_Harlem The Kingdom has changed much since 1981 when I was there. I'm sure the younger Saudis are much different than the ones I knew. They probably have more social outlets now than in 1981. Then most Saudis spent time with their families rather than putting up with a bunch of crazy ex-military pilots who thought they were on holiday. The Saudi compound where I lived had all of the amenities of America except alcohol but we managed by becoming very good at converting Rauches grape juice into wine. Sort of like the Wedding Feast at Cana where Jesus converted water into wine.
@@BatGuano-CA Oh man 1981! *A LOT* has changed since then! I hope your experience was good! Come visit Saudi in a couple of years! The kingdom is currently undertaking many revolutionary tourism projects, like the Red Sea tourism project. Your experience will be so drastically different, you'll think you're not in Saudi!
Where are you from btw?
Only this music makes me go on my PS and download BF1 again… for it’s immersive music and all… I’m a COD player for a few years but BF1 was a masterpiece in my opinion

@@_oldgamer30 Balkans are too buzy to fight each other, instead to progress together. It is our Balkans song, our own history. It is our blood in our land. It is all that matter. it is home. To all of us - the Balkans people
@@_oldgamer30 The Fucking irony at it finest the song is about the suffering that Balkan Slavs experience 1000 years under the Ottoman empire!
This is Macedonian song , composed and sung by Aleksandar Sarievski in 1965! Not bulgar nor turk 😉.
yeah, for sure this song was written in 1965 :D by some macedonian hero XD. the lyrics were recorded, NOT WRITTEN mind you, recorded by Luben Karavelov in 1878 in a compilation called "Nova pesnopijka". The song is old as time and you think some macedonian dude wrote the song in 1965..but yes, Macedonia is the founder of the world, so yeah..i see your point here.@@firstimpact911
I sleep......good
❤
I know this is old but if anyone stumbles and knows the genre or name of the style of music it would be great. Specifically when the woman starts singing or harmonizing.
Bulgarian folk has similar vibes sometimes.
Try "Mir stanke le" or "Ой мори кавале"
My bf1 data is corrupted so all I can do is simply look back on the fun I had
The best decision a gaming company ever made was to pick her for the song.
"Good Kid" ~ Frederick Bishop brought me here.
When I get on bf 1 it just keeps saying connecting when I try to do anything other then war stories. Anyone wanna help me? I want to play battlefield 1 again😭
Macedonian song sang by a Turk. For people who were wondering

Am i the only one that get halo vibes from this ?
Play this song for us when we fight the New World Order.
Please Xbox players, get back on bf1, the game is dying and we need you to keep this beautiful masterpiece alive
I love bulgaria
This is bulgarian song
Written by Aleksandar Sarievski, Born in Galichnik and written during the time of the Yugoslavia. Last time I checked Bulgaria chose not to be apart of Yugoslavia?
A Turkish singing this song is named Aliye Mutlu.
@@daviddimovski9595 You are absolutely right Macedonian music from the time of Yugoslavia dedicated to the suffering of the Yugoslav people, especially the Serbs who brought the greatest contribution to freedom. While the Bulgarians were attacking our people from behind. Although similar to us but they were always servants to the Austro-Hungarians later in World War II to the Germans.
@@_oldgamer30 This has nothing to do with Turkish music, for a second you are used to appropriating the Balkans and the Balkan Peninsula as your own, but never again. To your sorrow and our joy
@@techhardwaretest3919 the song is what it is. Best to view it as a lesson that invisible lines in the dirt have no meaning as we are all human at the end of the day and war is never an answer.

But this is not Arabic music, it's Slavic.
