Leather guy here… i wouldn’t suggest dawn on leather but rather use saddle soap, some water and a soft shoe brush. You can definitely finish with a high quality leather balm. Just hope this helps a bit😊
@bunnylou4993 Question for leather experts: I had some concentrated clothes detergent spill & soak into the spine of my matte finished leather planner. I started to use just water and a microfiber cloth to dilute it out and try to remove the soap since it looked dark blue on the rose colored matte leather. I’m not sure if I overdid it since the leather is now lighter in the areas and dry looking. Should I continue with water or just condition it and leave some of the blue looking parts and call it a day? And what should I condition it with?
