This is the best setup I have seen so far. Enough vertical space to feel like a room. Having a platform\bed gives a feeling of congestion. Neatly packed away in containers and drawers. Best!!

I've seen several of these "floor sitting-sleeping" builds. I like them because they seem more private and protected when you sleep.
I agree and it’s more stealthy to be below the windows. I also heard it was best to keep blankets and coverings black as it blends with the flooring.

Very nice and simple. I am contemplating getting a minivan to make as travel camper. Most ones I see on youtube tend to be very cluttered and sloppy looking. this one looks very neat.

Parking in hotel parking lots is literally what I was hoping to hear from so many people like yourself for years and you are the first one to actually mention this, this is the best idea ever great job and stay safe beautiful friend :)

@@SmoothCinnamonX not best. Most hotels have security and hand out tags to ppl staying. Unfortunately… hotel parking lots are the worst place to sleep.
Unless you like getting harassed by cops and getting towed. 🤷🏻♂️
Gray man approch is good as that van has no mods and looks stock and blends in from the outside. Overlanding people struggle somtimes when they have a jeep, ladcruiser, or fullsize van after its lifted,and has a roof rack and all that

Nice simple and efficient setup. A safety tip to consider, change the side of your bin and use the right passenger door instead of the driver side door. This way you don't have to constantly be moving your driving seat making it easy to get in it from inside the van if you need to get moving in the middle of the night. Also safer to go in and out the back if you are parked in the street. Have fun traveling!

@@ashlinsadvantures7157 at night do you cover the front area windows? , it would seem like light would go through the cracks of the curtain you put ? Have you tested it out looking in from the outside at night? 😊

I have the starkist tuna pks plus peanut butter this way I don't get tired of eating the same foods. Plus I put coffee or green tea in a thermos which stays warm for 2 days. Hope this helped. Have fun on your adventures

@@ashlinsadvantures7157 there are also products by BumbleBee that are little cans of chicken salad, tuna salad and buffalo chicken salad with crackers. I just use bread instead of the crackers. Love your van. Stay safe.

Beautiful do it yourself van! Very personalized. Love the pink and Gray. One of those collapsible dish pans would work if you need to do dishes.

This is the most ingenious camper minivan I've ever seen... at first I was super judgy and almost exited the video... then you pulled down the bed.
Seriously, you're a freakin' genius. There are a few things I'd tweak as far as storage, but this even affords more room for a portable toilet and shower than every angle long distance build I've seen.

You are so adventurous keep it up. I’m in my 70s in until Cove it I was taking 3 to 4 Week Rd. trips I’ve done route 66 I’ve done the great River Road. I eat one meal a day out of my jeep. But I spent the night in hotels.
My friends joke that I do live in my jeep because I carry food and clothes for different climates and reading materials. Enjoy it when you’re young. I do recommend both the river road trip and Route 66.

Good design! Ppl usually do the raise bed with stuff under it, but that style looks very claustrophobic

I really love this. I’m 30 years old and FINALLY getting my first car (not so unusual here in urban Europe) and I’ve always wanted to do a proper van build but can’t afford it so I love to see simple designs in more usual car types. This gives me so really useful ideas, thank you!

Wow I've never heard this before, but sleeping in hotel parking lots is a super good idea !!!! (To feel safe) cause everyone there is staying in the hotel and usually not being sketchy like on side streets, Walmart parking lots ext.

Nice and simple (sort of). 40 years ago I used to love sitting on the floor on huge cushions (4'x4') and playing games on mini tables. But when I do my minivan build now, a bed is required! I saw a video with a bed only 8" off the floor (same height as the seat bottoms). That way there is plenty head room when sitting up in/on bed!

Actually a slight more potent tool than say a can of Fox Mean Green or Fox 5.3 would be a pepperball pistol like the Sabre Red model or Pepperball llc model
Please don't project fear into her reality. I am also a female who has lived in vehicles, once for 2 months, once for 6 months. Sure as women we keep our wits about us, but to over-worry like it's a big scary world really defeats the purpose of being free. If one maintains a high vibration and uses common sense, trouble is unlikely to find you.
@@SmoothCinnamonX I agree but troubles are uninvited and unexpected so it's good to be prepared, also I absolutely agree we shouldn't fear about things because that fear stops us doing anything

I don't want a dog! It's a lot easier to only have one thing to take care of... myself! haha but I know some people travel with pets and love it!

Very nice set-up! I love the simplicity and low cost of your van interior. Mini vans are also better on gas than a full size van. Plus, they fit in any normal parking space and parking structures. You should venture out west. There's a lot of spectacular country to see. Safe travels!

You have made a very home-like van, with a minimum of building. I learned more ideas from you than a dozen overbuilt vans. I am 73 and have toured Oregon the past two summers in a sedan (with a pass-through back seat) and a tent. I want to buy a Sienna for next year. Thanks for sharing your ideas.
Thank you!! I learned when I was doing reserach that the floor setup is flatter and more ideal for living in a dodge grand caravan or the chrystler van. They have the same body. I waas originally looking for a Sienna and I test drove 2 I'm so happy I ended up finding this! Good luck :)))))

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!! I got the pink and gray drawers at Target. I've seen them other places as well! I spray painted them-- the frame was originally neon pink and the drawers were originally clear. I got the tubs in the back from Staples. The brand is Really Useful Boxes. They're awesome because they are durable and square all the way down so there's no wasted space!

Fantastic. Thank you so much. The only common thing separating all you great van campers from us normal, humble human beings is that you don't have, and never need, a toilet. You travel, cook, grill, make food, eat, drink, enjoy your gadgets and "huge" storage, chat, make videos and sleep. But you don't have "a must"! WOW. I would like to be like that one day. HOW wonderful it will be never using, or needing, a toilet - like you! You are SO lucky! :-) Please teach us how you do that. Thank you again for the great video. :-)
So pretty! I added gray hardwood floor to mine! For bathroom I find best to used small bucket with cut up pool noodle for the seat. Then used 2 scent trash bag so I can easily throw it out! It best to buy the 52 scented gallon trash bags.

Ashlin’s AdVANtures yes! It really helps! I got tired of using rest stop, gas station and Walmart! Especially when I’m on my period! You just need a lid to put over the bucket after used. then throw it out to the next gas station trash can or park or Walmart parking lot trash. I wasted money on the off grid portable toilet it was too much hassle to clean and stink to used. with bucket and scented trash bags it help a lot and save time to travel! No more public bathrooms. I would show my non convert van but I’m finding ways to make it tidy. It’s messy 🤦♀️ lol. Yours is so clean compare to mine.

I would love to know where you got your pink and gray plastic drawers! I lived in my camper van for two and a half years and now I have a minivan even though I don't live in it. You had some really good ideas! I have used mine with a cot in it but it is pretty crowded! I like how nice and open yours is! It is so awesome just to be out there roaming around!
I think the drawers are clear and pink and she probably did gray paper wrap/cardboard covering for them, like I seen on another channel @minivan lee channel go ck her out, she'd a way older lady but has good videos 🥰😍🙏🏼
