My supervisor does not let me use leak detector. Saves a lot of time but somehow he does not trust them.
What? Why?
I bet he loves dye.
Pressure test and find leak with liquid leak detector or isolate if it’s small or some where you can’t see it to make sure it’s in one of the coils and not the line set. We do new construction apartments so my leaks could easily be in the line set because installer did not pressure test. Happens a lot.

Odd thing is I had a call that came in this morning, said his mini split on the outdoor unit is full of ice. I asked him what brand is it he says Ramsond, I told him I have never have heard of that brand (till now, which is twice in one day) Do you happen to know if that is manufactured by GREE?
