  • Bikepacking and bushcraft are two activities I enjoy doing this time of year and a great way to experience the outdoors.
In this trip I visit a site used in the neolithic era for flint working. After collecting some flint nodules I then head back towards to my camp site. On the way back I stop to split the nodules into flint flakes using some hard quartzite rock found by a stream.
Later that evening I make a fire using the flint I collected by using a steel striker and char cloth (carbonized cotton)
Learning new bushcraft skills when camping out is a great way to relax , cooking and sitting next to a warm fire on a chilly october night with a few beers...sublime.
    Hope you enjoy....

Hi Chris, love tour vidéos, super cool dude you’re and we learn a lot from you, specially how to camp and leave no traces, thanks for all the effort you put into making these great videos, I have a question for you, what’s the brand and model of your shoes they look light and tough and I’m looking for a pair that click both boxes and isn’t easy to find! Cheers from France!

Hi Alfredo, thanks for leaving such nice comment. I simply practice the skills and techniques I learn from other RUclips videos. Then film myself trying them. Ok glad I give something back to people watching. The shoes are Karrimor Hiking shoes from Sports Direct. I also use Five Ten Freerider shoes. Thanks again, all the best. Chris.

@@73megalith Thanks! I have a pair of Five Ten Guide Tennie and as much as I want to like them, they are just too stiff and the back of the shoe makes me feel as my ankle is going to go out of the shoe anytime, before I had a pair of Scarpa Crux that I used and abused for 2 years and they were just perfect, well, almost, the top of the shoe is still like new, but the sole is done and even cut in half .... saddly, then I used a pair of Salomon XA 3D whatever goes after this, and they were very good and light, but it happened the opposite t the Scarpa's, the sole is still fine, but the top is broken 'come kind of fine treaded mesh material) so I will give a go at your Karrimors see if they can last me a bit longuer, funny thing, my bivy bag is a Karrimor ;) Thanks again, and keep those great videos coming!
