I think the "sweet juice" is adrenaline and they are addicted to it. That's why the video is girls running and experiencing weird things in an hotel. The hotel is haunted, it's a bit of a reference to the shining. I understand the video must have been disturbing for Mrs Coach :) but there you go, there's a link with the song.
The video is homage to an array of classic horror films, which you must have inferred. I won't list them all, but The Shinning is an obvious one. Maybe, Mrs. C, doesn't dig horror films? Story line of the video is they are witches, who have recently come out to the world and have decided to open a hotel. Insolito is italian for unusual. A mysterious black clad guest checks in and magically attacks the group. When she attacks Goeun in the bathtub (psycho reference) Goeun defeats her and leaves her in the tub. Rilas, which appears various places is Salir backwards (one of the many Shining references) Salir is Spanish for to leave or run from. The group has said that Sweet Juice is intended to mean freedom.
Just a little more context: they wrote this song as a means to comfort fans during the pandemic. The album is called Cabin Fever, which is a reference to how many of us felt during lockdown and even after when there were restrictions to meet in public spaces. The video is meant to correlate that feeling of being trapped someplace and not being able to find a way out, like a bad nightmare (hence the references to horror movies like the Shining).
I just started getting into Purple Kiss. I cant recall if you reacted yet to them, but Kiss of Life is getting big and they can sing and Coach will LOVE the visuals!!!! 🔥😍. Also, in case you didn’t know, Solar from MAMAMOO has a couple new videos that are great! I know you guys love the MOO!

Yeah I thought the same thing when I saw Asa for the first time. Since Yuki is my bias for Purple Kiss. They both give off the same vibe vocally and Rapping style. Maybe that why i gravitated toward Asa as my bias for Babymonster.
Their songs 'Pretty Psycho' and 'Cast Pearls Before Swine' (amazing names I know) are super good too I recommend. Both have performance videos to them 🤝(The PP one was so well done and elaborate that it could've passed for the actual MV of the song tbh lmao)
I still haven't had a chance to get into them, but I will. Speaking of personal opinions...I like them because it's not about hitting high notes. It gets me that people hear a girl group/solo artist, and, if they hit a high note, they lose their "stuff", but, if they focus on the lower register, it's "ho-hum". Female artists hitting high notes is the norm, not cause for gasps and thunderous applause. I'm not putting it down, and, of course, some are very good at it - or special - I just find it bit annoying that that seems to be the determining factor for excellence for so many. I find Purple Kiss interesting because they don't rely on that.
2nd on the Pink Fantasy recommendation. Extremely under resourced, promoted, appreciated group. Think most are on hiatus now, but three or four are still posting covers / vlogs. Definitely should be among the hundred or so groups you haven't seen yet.
I enjoyed this due to the song and the singing. A slight bit too much effect on some of the girls voices so a play of the live version would be most welcome. One that listened to a lot that would be a grower. I'm going to add this one to my Spotify list that has over 100 songs. You both have the same colour scheme on. Good job Mrs Coach isn't wearing a cap. If she did, I would have had trouble telling who was who😂😂😂
If you want more Purple Kiss without the horror vibes: "Can We Talk again", "Nerdy" , "automatic", or even "Mememe" for something completely different. I know that for the longest their storyline was about being witches. There's more to it, but Kpop storylines get complex.
Yeah this is a great song, but this is the sister group of Mamamoo in RBW so all of their songs are good. I also love the fact this group writes their own music that is one of the things RBW wanted from them. There are plenty of predebut training videos of their songs, covering some mamamoo songs. There is even one where these girls are being judged at RBW, sitting watching are some men, likely execs but in the middle of the table is a stern looking Solar, imagine being 17 and having Solar judging your performance within the company, and then have Solar kick everyone out of the room so she can have a talk with the group (there are some videos with Moonbyul as well), it was actually fascinating watching this group come together at RBW pre debut and then after debut. Definitely listen to more of Purple Kiss.
I understand what Mrs Coach is saying. I actually felt the same way when I first watched it. I even thought that I didn’t like the song, cause I felt the pacing of they lyrics didn’t match the song. But after listening to it on it’s own I realized it was the pacing of the video that was actually throwing me off. I’ve watched the video about a million times since then and I like it much better now. I think it was the piano that was throwing me off, but once I looked past that I realized the video does actually match the pace of the beat. So it doesn’t bother me anymore, but I get it.
