[Cody peeks through the cage and sitting right next to him was his long lost dad, who has his neck chained to a wall] Cody: Dad? You're alive! Cody's Father: It's good to see you again, my son. Cody: I wish I could hug you, but I can't, because I'm locked in a cage. Cody's Father: I know. Your mother is probably missing us right now. Cody: Well, she should be. I was about to return home after I helped set Marahute free from a poacher's net, but Mr. McLeach took me away to this horrible place. Cody's Father: How awful. [he realizes the name Cody mentioned] Wait a minute, who's Marahute? Cody: She's a giant golden eagle I've set free, and Mr. McLeach is after her again. Krebbs: Well, well, well, fancy that! Looks likes McLeach has trapped another of his own kind! There's no hope for any of us now. Frank: No hope! No hope! No! [cries] Cody's Father: But there MUST be a way out of here. Krebbs: Oh, there's a way out all right. Cody and others: There is? Krebbs: Absolutely. [cocky] You'll go as a wallet, you'll go as a belt, and our dear Frank.... Frank: No, no, no, I don't want to hear it. Krebbs: Frank will go as... Frank: I can't hear you... [Frank covers his ears and begins to sing a nonsense version of the Australian national anthem] la la la la la..... Krebbs: [pause until Frank uncovers his ears] A purse. Frank: Aiighh... no!! [cries] Krebbs: Ooo... a lovely ladies' purse. Frank: [crying] I don't want to go as a purse. [begging] Please, please, don't let 'em do it! Cody: Don't worry, we're gonna get out of here. Frank: We are? Cody's Father: Yeah! If we all put our heads together, I'm sure we'll think of something. Frank: Yeah, something, something.... [he begins to pant and think hard] Cody: Frank, what's wrong? Krebbs: Oh, here he goes again. Red: Take it easy mate, you don't want to hurt yourself again. Frank: [straining to think] I got it!! All we gotta do, is get the keys!! Krebbs: [sarcastically] Ohhh!! Is that all?? Well then, we better start packing our bags. Cody: No wait, he's right. If we could get these long pieces of wood.... [he strains to reach some long pieces of wood through his cage] Cody's Father: Do you think you can reach it? Frank: Wood, yeah, wood, wood, wood, yeah good. Cody: Maybe we could... [a bird in a "tire cage" helps knock the wood so Cody can reach it] Cody: That's right just a little more... there, [he grabs a piece of wood] Come on everybody, get some more stuff!! Red: The kid's right, what are we waiting for? Cody: That's it, you've got it! Hurry! We need something to tie it together! Frank: Hey, hey, hey, whaddya got, whaddya got, whaddya got?? [he gets whopped with a shoe] Shoelaces! Oh. [the animals have constructed a long pole held up and together with rope and shoelaces; they begin to use their "pole" to get the keys.] Cody: Almost.... a little further... Frank: Yeah, yeah, yeah. [Krebbs moans/cries as they miss the keys.] Cody: It's o.k. let's try again. Frank: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Cody: Easy... easy does it. Cody's Father: Way to go, my son! Frank: Yeah, no, no, no, yeah, no, yeah, yeah [etc...] Krebbs: Somebody shut him up!! [the animals get the keys on the hook; the dangle right in front of the door.] Frank: You've got it! You've got it! You've got it! [Joanna comes in, discovers keys, destroys pole, returns keys to hook, and leaves through the animal door; Frank strains to think again] Frank: I've got it! I'll just take my tail.... and I'll pick the lock.... like this!! Red: Aww Frank, give it a rest. [Cody's Father frowns sadly and closes his eyes] [Cody buries his face between his knees, feeling hopeless] Frank: No, no, no!! You'll thank me when you're free! Now, now, look, So first, I insert my tail, like this, and I turn it like this, just a quarter turn to the left, and then push it a little bit further...
R.I.P. George C. Scott. He was an awesome American actor. Plus, he was pretty funny. Just remember that his voice of Percival C. McLeach will always be better than Frank Welker’s singing voice of that slender poacher.
Joanna certainly has supersonic hearing, so she can tell when somethings messing with the keychain.
