I’m 27 bro and I just saw the clip on Facebook when the kid saved the eagle & bro I had a flashback lol it’s like somewhere in my memory I remember watching this movie 😂I had to find the name of it ,I definitely remember watching it as a kid
Except that it’s set in Australia and none of the characters have Australian accents. Weird. But it’s for an American audience and it doesn’t take much to suspend the disbelief of the average American.
I just realized I was nineteen when this came out .. but my children were babies still I don't think I saw this til I was 21 and my kids were old enough to watch and enjoy it and 3 and 2
Fun facts! The nurse mice helping Wilbur are voiced by Minnie Mouse’s voice actress at the time! The goanna Joanna is voiced by Frank Welker, who is well known for doing lots of animal voices (Max from Little Mermaid, lion roars for Lion King), and Fred from Scooby Doo! The koala, Krebbs, is voiced by te same actor who voiced the Sultan from Aladdin!
@@AmericanAcupuncturer and Dr. Claw from Inspector Gadget, and Ray Stantz/Slimer from the Real Ghostbusters...and countless others. His IMDB page is absolutely massive
Underrated. This is 1 of my top 5 Disney Cartoon Films. Opening sequence of eagle rescue and flight just awesome. Hilarious, best line of the movie, George C. Scott, as the fantastically evil MacLeesh, declaring, "I didn't make it all the way through 3rd grade for nothing!"
Didn't know it was a cartoon. As a child, I had a book with frames from here and text describing what is happening. Then I really liked the McLeach's car and I wanted to consider it in more detail, but there were few pictures of it. Now I am 28 and feel a sense of nostalgia.
when I was in early high school I had a friend who was really good at doing impressions he could literally do a perfect grinch facial expression and hold it. we used to have fun with the poachers demeanor, his lines and voice. JOANNA WHERE ARE MAHH EEEGAL EGGGZZ lmfao classic
This is a fantastic film with some very funny lines ("Of course I'm relaxed! If I were any more relaxed I'd be dead!" "Hey, who killed the music?") and some spectacular animation (the ride that Cody takes on the eagle is one of Disney's best animated sequences ever.) In the scene where the mice are relaying the message about Cody's kidnapping, those are some incredibly efficient and well-organized mice! The only thing that bothers me about this film is that we never got to see the other animals like Frank, the kangaroo, and the koala get rescued. Perhaps Bernard, Bianca and Cody did go back and rescue them, but the film never showed us that, and I really wish they had! It kind of leaves a bit of incompleteness to the movie, IMO!
It actually very sad that poachers exist 😔 They feel they have a right to afflict death and pain to another beating heart for their own benefit shows how dark the soul of that individual is.
this is like one of my favorite non anime animation movies ever :). although i wonder how he can communicate with the kangaroo im not gonna question that :). still one of my favorites. imo beter than some of the modern animations. :)
I didn’t even know this was Disney! I was convinced it must have been some random other brand. This movie is never ever talked about!! Ever! How is that possible?
"what Disney puts out today isn't Disney anymore its just in name only and most of it is boring stuff, don't see the classics anymore and they keep them in the so called vault."-🤔🖥🌐..
I really enjoyed this movie as a kid, it made me laugh several times.... there is only one problem: *the animals locked up in the poachers hideout.* With the poacher dead + everyone else going home at the end of the film, the animals were forgotten and would definitely have starved to death in their cages. Frank could've used his tail to free himself and then freed everyone else... but the movie never tells us, and we all know how dark Disney can be, just ask Simba and Bambi 😭😭😭😭😭😭
They are far better than movies that give me nightmares .. I used to watch everything awful because my husband was a huge huge horror fan .. plus fantasy like the Lord of the rings trilogy one night I was half asleep and I heard a voice that sounded so much like smeegal it called my name avd says something else too I swear it was a bad bad spirit that knew I was terrified of the Lord of the rings at that time
Pretty damn sure him hittin the eagle from a cliff that high at that speed would’ve killed them both instantly on impact. And I’m also pretty sure that a person would suffocate to death bein that high up in the sky without oxygen. But hey, what do I know? I’m just a 33 year old watchin one of my all-time favorite movies as a kid
Oh my goodness! I was looking for something to watch and I came across this, and as soon as I start watching, it seems like I heard that voice before. An underrated masterpiece, glad i grew up watching this movie 😭✨ the nostalgia
The opening music...fantastic!
Not to mentioned it featured Australia 🇦🇺 and its beautiful animals in Disney entertainment. There’s no other Disney movie that featured this country.
A masterpiece that has stood the test of time and always will.
You search for this movie because was part an incredible moment in your childhood. GOD BLESS YOU!
