- Here’s a compilation of short videos where I draw 24 popular Cartoon Network cartoon characters in the old 1930s cartoon rubberhose animation style that inspired the Cuphead art style. This video shows tips about how to draw 1930s cartoon style, also known as rubberhose style. Just like the classic old Walt Disney and Fleischer Studios cartoons of the 1930s, such as Steamboat Willie, Popeye the Sailor, and Betty Boop.

I feel like a lot of hate for Teen Titans Go is gradually going to fade away as people who grew up watching it as kids get older, and gain stronger voices on the internet. Whereas most of the hate comes from adults who don't so much hate the show itself, as much as they hate what it is compared to the original Teen Titans cartoon that they grew up watching.

Technically yes, but before that they had a cartoon style called rubber hose in the 1930s. There are characters from the era named Tom and Jerry.

I saw recently a new adult swim series called "Unicorn Warriors Eternal." (Trust me it's way more cooler then it sounds) It was the 1930 style with a touch of modern design. 👍

@@KevCraven the background's optional, but I mostly prefer a characters. Just a completely traditionally hand sketched,inked and colored piece. (colored with markers,colored pencils,etc.) My apologies for the confusion.

I think gumball and Darwin were failures, of that kind Gary Gold complains too much. Shouldn't Darwin look more like an old cartoon fish? With big lips, big body and long tail? There's no change except slightly rubbery limbs, and fucking gumball looks like an hybrid between crayon shin Chan and a family guy character with Jerry face pasted in. Once again, why not go for a rounder face like early Pete or Felix? Just add bigger cheeks, a mosquito bite chestform to show his chubbiness, big cat paws and a long cat tail.
Thanks for the feedback. In all honesty, at the time I drew Darwin, I didn’t know he was a fish. I know I know. Embarrassing! I take your point about Gumball too - it is a really old drawing from about 3 years ago and I would do it diffidently now. All good ideas though, do you draw?
