Putting Bioshock in the same category as Prey is an insult to Prey. It doesn't have even 10% of the depth and detail of that game. It's no System Shock either

Shits hard man especially when your first game is popular. Todd Howard got successful off of morrowind and has always tried to make different games, but all Bethesda games nowadays are just reskins of that formula.

Cause Levine didn’t want to work with 2k taking creative control from him and they largely did with bioshock 2. He claimed he wasn’t working with them anymore which isn’t the case as Judas publisher is still 2k.

2 major things to note:

#2: Don't forget how much cooler the demos Levine showed for Infinite were compared to what we actually got.

Im so confused, so is there an actualy Bioshock 4 sequel in production too or is this it? Cause ngl, was really hoping for a Bioshock sequel, but this game does look cool too.
Art style and reputation of Lavine alone was enough to make this my most anticipated game. Now that I'm aware of all these gameplay innovations I'm losing my damn mind! Cryogenically freeze me please.

Sounds a LOT like System Shock. Cool to see them going back to the roots.
"Not bioshock" : If there ever was a game that was NOT Bioshock and looked exactly like Bioshock in nearly every single aspect, this is it.
The gunplay, interactions, engine, artistic style, special powers, graphics, gun designs all scream bioshock. But it has a different name and environment so its not bioshock. Alright then. 😂 that being said it looks fantastic as bioshock games do.
It's clearly unofficial BioShock 5.

4:06 definitely could see Elizabeth breaking through a portal at some point for a “backdoor pilot” for Bioshock: Infinite 2 aka Bioshock: Infinity.

Bioshock 2 had brilliant storytelling/narrative. Prey is immersive-sim bliss. That is all.
He had nothing to do with either game and sadly this game is a rogue like. Not immersive sim.

To clarify, roguelite is a meta genre that can be layed over pretty much every other genre of game. You can have a roguelite turn based jrpg for instance. A roguelite character action game. And yes a roguelite immersive sim.
@@SPG8989 True. Although he did co-create the setting of Rapture so Bio 2 still owes him a lot and Prey is considered a love letter to his other game System Shock 2. So both have a Levine lineage.
@@benvidsWrong. Prey 2017 whole schtick is respecting the legacy of Looking Glass did with System Shock 2. While Ken helped SS2 back in the days, Looking Glass created SS2 and to put Ken as this guy who creates SS2 is just dumb.

Atomic heart, prey, deathloop, dishonored, clockwork revolution, singularity, system shock, and this uses the formula that bioshock made back in 2007 and it forever changed the way we play first person shooters. 👌👍🤟👏

What everybody else said about system shock. Also if you like this genre make sure you’ve at least played the original Deus Ex. Sure System Shock predates it but Deus Ex is arguably the better immersive sim.

it was easier to fly to another star system over generations and reprint humans than it was to figure out some bacteria plague?
Depending on how deadly the bacteria is and how fast it spreads and kill you might just be better off to quickly leave the planet ( if you have the required technology already)

Well. Maybe the technology to do that already existed and the bacteria was highly contagious. And perhaps the problem wasn't the infection on humans but a destabilisation of ecosystems. If it is happening quicker than a solution can be developed it would make sense.
The bacteria might be a lie. Literally the entire game is about uncovering gigantic lies.

What a terrifying yet adorable way to fast travel
Biggest downside so far is there seems to be no human enemy types.

Looks like a new "Love,Death&Robots" episode. It looks random though, can't understand what style it's trying to go for. Toyland? Steampunk? Space?
I'm sure the gameplay will be amazing, but this just looks like a remake of the original BioShock with less gore and a facelifted story line. The enemies also look goofy compared to all the advanced tech on the ship.
So far when it comes to the main three characters you have to help throughout Judas…
