I'm seeing this sentiment a lot recently with the number of legendary game directors making their long-awaited return to a beloved franchise. But let's be real: as long as the game is funded by a major holdings company (such as Take Two Interactive, this game's publisher) it's not going to be any less "accessible", "watered-down", whatever you wanna call it, than its predecessors. The ONLY hope for that lies in true indie games. That said I'm sure this will be a very worthwhile and fun game. I'm just very skeptical of the "return to the glory days" type of hype.
@@wmidler Ok, let me put this another way: Bioshock 1 & Infinite were also AAA titles, and even flawed, I do love both games; yes: both. I´ve recently replayed Infinite from start to finish, and even though it wasn´t what the trailers back then promised, and neither what we expected, I still believe it to be a fine game. So, of course Judas isn´t going to be perfect and all, but then again: what is? If it manages to be quality wise on a level with the two Levine-Shocks, I´m happy.

Hearing that Ken wants to make an non-linear game makes me concerned because we all know how that turned out last time in infinite. He's also known for being difficult to work with, scrapping months of implementation just to make a perfect game.
The Bioshocks are my all time favorite games. I’ve been waiting for an update on Ken Levine’s next game and Bioshock 4 for years now. How crazy would it be if they end up releasing at the same time.
It was interesting to hear your take on this compared to Skill Up. I am now even more hyped about this game than I was before. It sounds AMAZING. One thing you mentioned that Skill Up talked about more is the "psudo-procedural" element. Based on his description, it sounds like they are taking another crack at what Bethesda tried and failed to do with Starfield: procedural presentation of curated events. What you run into will be determined procedurally, but the actual content is curated. This is very much like what planetary exploration was supposed to be like for Starfield. I was a great concept, but the one big issue is that, if you are going to do this, then the number of different curated events must be VERY large. This is where Bethesda failed HARD. If Judas can get this right, we are looking at one of the most interesting and potentially immersive experiences ever created for a game. I can't wait.
