    Hey, thanks for the tutorial, watched it 3 times before I built my first VK63 Daytona Panda. It's my first time venturing outside of NH movements and my only issue was getting the crown stem back out of the movement and none of my movement holders fit. The entire build took me 45 minutes. I was noticing the lack of quality on the parts I was using. Compared to all the other Rolex and Seiko based mods I made this one feels "tinny" to me. Maybe it's the size of the case and the fixed bezel since I make a lot of Sea Dweller and Samurai mods. In any case, the video is top notch and your accent made it super cool.

    I want to make a Daytona with Paul Newman dial mod.I have found a 30mm dial but every vk63 Daytona case I find it says that it fits
    29-29,5mm dial.
    Will a 0.50mm bigger dial be a problem?
    Thank you for the video
    Great Tutorial

      Hi! thanks for the great question. it's hard to tell. it really depends on how versatile the case is. some they allow 0.5mm tolerance in terms of the dial diameter measurements.
      But i would advise you asking the dial seller directly. perhaps sending the case's link to the dial seller and ask them to verify and confirm it they fit. hope this helps!

    Great build and video. Would this case be compatible if I preferred an aftermarket oyster style stainless bracelet instead of a rubber strap?

    • @arthur-loh
      @arthur-loh  28 дней назад +1

      yes, it definitely will fit. it's a universal 20mm lug width for any bracelet/strap. feel free to customize yourselves!

    I noticed that the images of the dials in the AliExpress link you provided don’t show the Seiko logo. Does the dial come with the Seiko logo? If not, could you share how you got it with the logo?

    • @arthur-loh
      @arthur-loh  16 дней назад

      Hi! yes the seller usually masks out the "Seiko" logo in the product image due to copyright issues. so usually they will have put keywords like "S-logo" to indicates it has Seiko logo.
      But 1 way to confirm is to message the seller and asks for the actual product photos. they will usually reply rather quickly and sends the actual dial with "seiko" logo.
      Hope this helps.

    How do you know it is at the 12oclock position before you install the hour hand?

    • @arthur-loh
      @arthur-loh  28 дней назад

      hi great question! i listen to the click sound when the date changes. it's very subtle, but, audible if you listen to it.
      But given there's no date window on this dial, the 12 o'clock alignment before the hand installation isn't really necessary in this case. so this step can be omitted actually.
      Hope this helps!

    Mini dial on the right isn’t 24hr for vk63?

    • @arthur-loh
      @arthur-loh  2 месяца назад

      Sub dial on the right is indeed a 24 hour dial. it's just the print on the dial says otherwise. but it works as a 24 hour dial.

    Hi, do all seiko daytona mods not have rotating bezel? I bought one for my husband and just curious.

    • @arthur-loh
      @arthur-loh  Месяц назад

      Hi! no, Daytona style case doesnt have rotating bezel. Look for divers style watch cases. those will have rotating bezel :)

    I built this. When I pressed the stopwatch hand down into place it would glide three seconds back and end up unaligned with 12. No matter how many times I lined it up perfectly. It seems like the reser position was stuck in the wrong position.

    • @arthur-loh
      @arthur-loh  2 месяца назад

      hey! oh my 3 seconds back is a lot. i noticed mine is similar, but maybe a quarter of a second back instead. but yes, i think something might be off.

    How much was the total for the watch? And where did you get the parts from

    • @arthur-loh
      @arthur-loh  2 месяца назад

      i spend roughly around 250 Ringgit Malaysia for the build (60 USD) for the build. link to buy the part down in the video description! :)

    As a rookie,install the second hand is pretty hard for me😂I have wasted a few movements at this step

    • @arthur-loh
      @arthur-loh  Месяц назад +1

      oh my! this is when experience really helps. be su[per gentle when installing the second hand. i have messed up a few times, but i was lucky i didnt break the movement.
      just keep trying and dont give up! get a jeweler watch magnifier. that would help with the second hand installation.
