[4:50] - The strings instruments slowly interjects themselves into Jin's leitmotif, signifying the voice of Kazumasa begging Jin to do it. It seems to me that the strings play a repeated tune that goes up and down; up being Kazumasa wanting to Jin to do what he says and down being Jin denying it, showing that he is not his father. [5:07] - The lone flute (Jin), starts to overpower the strings before pushing away the sound of the strings, the voice of his father. [5:22] - The strings return in a consistent tune, it's more uplifting than previously. It could mean Jin has already come to terms with his fathers' darkness and used it as a stepping stone out of it, reaching higher and higher to the climaxing clash. (I also like to point out that after the clash, it starts playing "The Legacy of Kazumasa Sakai" which also shares the shakuhachi element in it so make of that as you will.) [Summary] I'll admit that the last one seems like a stretch but nevertheless, the music chosen was perfect for Jin's confrontation with Kazumasa.
I played this part with the Sakai clan armor. It felt like poetry, wearing the armor of my dead father, to defeat the eagle; I was not my father, I was Jin Sakai.

Same. I liked his dad more as the wind that guides Jin throughout his journey. I also think Kazumasa dying on snow was better than dying on a tropical beach but I think that's suppose to be a call back to the samurai dying on the beach.
I always thought that the Wind was the real Kazamasa. I like to think that the Kazamasa at the end behind jin was the real Kazamasa, like he accepted Jin to be his redeemer before disappearing into the wind.
I loved the fight so much. Although eagle lady kicked my ass 😅. The whole expansion was really cool. The wisteria parts were so beautiful. The only thing was I made the mistake of going to the island almost immediately after reaching part 2 and boy was I underprepared. Now I’m back on tsushima and everything is easy.

Amazing part of this game Is that some duels will only take a minute or two due to having full resolve, maybe even Ghost Stance Or they’ll take an hour because you have no resolve
One of the greatest game scenes ever. "No. I will never be like you. The way you lived, was not my choice. And your death, was not my fault." The moment of redemption. And killing Eagle after that felt righteous. By the way, better watched in Japanese, with subtitles. The whole game is better that way.
from losing his home island after saving it, to redemption of feeling guilt his whole life + saving the killer of his fathers. Sucker Punch deserves an Oscar for making this one of a kind game! the sequence of the story is beyond imaginable, the music is intense in every scene that makes you feel you are among them. P.S. Tenzo actually went to save Sakai hence why he defeated the other goon and went and prevented the eagle from killing Jin.👏🏼
Felt so good cutting her down, I got really tired of her intermittent shit-talking while I was doing stuff. And as for Jin coming to terms with his past: it felt like everything came full-circle and though he(Jin) used guerrilla warfare tactics, he was a true samurai to his core
Man when that scene and the backround music happen got me hype so much, i had only got 4 heals and i kept on losing at the eagle and when i saw that scene i knew i couldnt mess it up by dying again id ruined up that moment and i had only like 1 hp left i was going try hard mode and guess what i clutched it
the best DLC for Ghost of Tsushima. New enemy type that enhanced the enemy attack and enemies that switch weapons on the fly. New final boss that's more threatening than Khotun. And finally Jin let's go of his past and finally moved on.
@@AlguienCualquieraDelMundo nah Khan was easy since he is slow and on the later part we can use ghost weapons. Eagle was too damn fast and powerful, took 5 or 6 attempts for me to beat it. I play on hard mode, cant imagine what she will be like on lethal.
I was playing at the highest difficulty and was defeated several dozens of times but... When Jin was spared of the vision and his theme started playing my blood boiled and I entered the Ghost mode and killed the Eagle with half of her xp in just one determined attempt. I haven't even had a chance to realize it.
this DLC/Expansion was amazing. however i have a few problems with it and that is how muddled it seems to be for example. 1.Jin's status=he's constantly refereed to as a Samurai and is treated as one by the people of iki despite the fact that his clan was disbanded and that he is wanted by the Shogun and the fact that the iki people see that he does not fight like a samurai at all yet no one says anything. 2.Jin's character is pretty much regressed completely back to having daddy issues and guilt for his fathers death when all of that was tackled and settled at the end of the main story by killing or Sparing Shimura. Jin breaks all ties with his identity and becomes the Ghost in it's entirety. Jin Sakai IS DEAD so this entire "sins of the father" storyline seems really out of place. 3. Is Shimura alive or dead that choice has literally no effect on this DLC and shimura never onced showed up either which makes no sense. (no flash backs with Shimura and Kazumasa to get an idea of how they opposed each other) the only way this really makes any sense is if it was set just after or before act 2 of the main story but it's not clear at all when it's set.
Well the developers made this arc available before Kamiagata region, so ideally and feasibly story-wise this happened not long after Jin recovered his father's armor and is doing errands before the Shogun forces arrive. I guess the developers thought blocking off the story for those who've gone through a certain point of the vanilla is just too cruel, and making an entirely different dialogue set/event is way too much work for their caliber.
@@pooploop33 That's a contingency line, some lines in the game actually change depending what you accomplished or not before. Example: 1. if you went to Ishikawa and Lady Adachi before proceeding to search for Taka, Jin will report accordingly to Yuna. 2. If you liberate the village neighboring Jin's home before learning of the Wolfsbane poison, Yuriko will have you collect the Blowpipe material from an abandoned hut by the lake instead. In most cases these changes aren't significant, but as the OP described, having the Iki Island arc happened AFTER Jin completely leave his old life behind is a regress in his character development, but because the game is designed as is, players can choose to complete it whenever and there's small changes to acknowledge that
1. Jin’s status as a “Samurai from Yarikawa” is a ploy to hide his association with Clan Sakai and he’s technically a Ronin (Samurai without Master) at this point. 2.Jin did not have the same issues with His own Father as he did with Shimura who Jin considers more of a father figure. Shimura sided with the Shogun and labeled Jin a Traitor. Jin guilt tripped himself without ever accepting he had no control of his fathers death. 3. There are numerous visions in the DLC you hear Shimura’s last moments (if you decide to kill him). Jin has stated numerous times that Shimura was more of a negotiator as oppose to his fathers warrior first mentality. In the Flashbacks you clearly see that Kazumasa didn’t think highly of Jin. Jin had a lot of influence of his mother (Shimura’s sister).
Yeah I made the mistake of jumping to iki island almost straight after reaching act 2 bar a few other quests… to say I was underprepared is an understatement. And now I’m back and finally recovering Jin’s fathers armour it feels out of place because he just accepted to let go of the past and not blame himself for his fathers death. I think it would have been better if they locked iki island until a set point of the game because it’s hard to know when is the best time to play it so it integrates well with the story.
Did you guys like this game, or was it overhyped?

Ghost of Tsushima just amazes me
Wish they didn’t make jins dad out to be some piece of shit, they made sound like a cool guy in the base campaign
Same. I liked his dad more as the wind that guides Jin throughout his journey. I also think Kazumasa dying on snow was better than dying on a tropical beach but I think that's suppose to be a call back to the samurai dying on the beach.
Remember his dad he saw when he saw(due to the poison)wasn't really his father.
@@jacket6213 Jin's dad is literally the wind on his back. His spirit watches over him and guides him.
@@thetraveler2224 I figured that was what they were implying but I wasn’t sure, hope that’s the case
Man I just now getting to play , I have done every side quest for section 1 and 2 before coming here I didn’t kno it was a dlc bc I got it from the Sony pass and now I feel like I ruined the story 😭😭😭
I did this fight last night omg it was such hard fight on a harder difficulty . what an epic fight it was . what well done final boss . whole thing including your cov with your father . i mean that was on another level type of final boss fight
Sucker Punch dones it again!
They always does 😁
The game and cutscenes were all so amazing!!!
Man, I'm just downloading it, and you already finished it...😁
I died so many times before defeating her.
She was really hard for sure. It was actually a soulsborne boss. Strange why nobody talks about her.
@@issi529 soulsbourne?
@@leonite934 Yeah, games made by fromsoftware, darks souls, Elden Ring and Sekiro. She was very challenging.
@@issi529 not really i died twice in Hard mode. need to duel if she using sword that's it
@@leonite934 Yes a fromsoftwareboss.
Had a predicting feeling that Tenzo was who he was at the end 😂 🤣
Amazing part of this game
Is that some duels will only take a minute or two due to having full resolve, maybe even Ghost Stance
Or they’ll take an hour because you have no resolve
One of the greatest game scenes ever.
"No. I will never be like you. The way you lived, was not my choice. And your death, was not my fault."
The moment of redemption. And killing Eagle after that felt righteous.
By the way, better watched in Japanese, with subtitles. The whole game is better that way.
7:08 and 8:29 someone please tell me the name of this theme cuz i literally can’t find it anywhere
Hey man, about the soundtrack. Have you found the name? I need it.
Hey man, I don't know if you're still looking for it but it's called "honour to ash". Also the part where Jin becomes "The Ghost" in main story.
Jin: The way you lived was not my choice. And your death was not my fault.
Music: climaxes
Me: climaxes
I play this on +lethal and this particular fight make me died so many times compared to when I fought Khotun Khan
Think my problem in the game is I wait for them to attack and try to dodge or Parry, instead of just attacking and then dodge or parry when I have to
from losing his home island after saving it, to redemption of feeling guilt his whole life + saving the killer of his fathers.
Besides rdr2 to gow I feel this is the biggest robbery. Gow 2018 was goated rdr2 was better. This was a masterpiece while tlou2 was sloppy writing.
i had no resolve after jin cleared his mind, so i went at her with fullaggression
Felt so good cutting her down, I got really tired of her intermittent shit-talking while I was doing stuff.
And as for Jin coming to terms with his past: it felt like everything came full-circle and though he(Jin) used guerrilla warfare tactics, he was a true samurai to his core
The music is on point. 👌
She seriously moved like a bloody boss right out of sekiro crazy fast combat but loved it
5:37 The moment you realise that losing…isn’t an option
Man when that scene and the backround music happen got me hype so much, i had only got 4 heals and i kept on losing at the eagle and when i saw that scene i knew i couldnt mess it up by dying again id ruined up that moment and i had only like 1 hp left i was going try hard mode and guess what i clutched it
Anyone know the name of the soundtrack at 7:12 ?
Jin Sakai is tracks name
the best DLC for Ghost of Tsushima. New enemy type that enhanced the enemy attack and enemies that switch weapons on the fly. New final boss that's more threatening than Khotun. And finally Jin let's go of his past and finally moved on.
Jin is *_NOT_* his father - or his uncle.
I still think that Kothun has harder, at least in the duel part
@@AlguienCualquieraDelMundo considering the fact that Khotun's AI cheated constantly.
Khotun was underwhelming for me. But the Eagle, she was so fast and I barely won on Hard. Can't imagine her on Letha!
Thank you so much for your amazing video dear. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Damn man
Man the enemies in this game are sliding not walking
Did you have the dance of wrath? Just trying to decide my strategy against her.
It’s ironic how the “medicine” actually cured Jin…
She's so annoying on lethal because there aren't too many attack opportunities; you're mostly counter attacking off perfect parries and dodges.
For our clan father
This woman on lethal mode is unbeatable ngl
Monkey Armor op in this fight 😁
Only fight in the game where I had to turn down the difficulty
I love this game so much it’s a breath of fresh air from gta red dead and fortnite can’t wait for the second game if they make it
She killid me 4 times at first
This was such a cool fight.
this DLC/Expansion was amazing. however i have a few problems with it and that is how muddled it seems to be for example.
(no flash backs with Shimura and Kazumasa to get an idea of how they opposed each other)
the only way this really makes any sense is if it was set just after or before act 2 of the main story but it's not clear at all when it's set.
@@hansalanson3497 nah. This is after the death of the khan. In a cutscene jin mentioned it on the eagle that the khan is dead.
@@pooploop33 That's a contingency line, some lines in the game actually change depending what you accomplished or not before.
Example:
1. if you went to Ishikawa and Lady Adachi before proceeding to search for Taka, Jin will report accordingly to Yuna.
I remember when this boss first came out it took me forever to beat her
Now shes my warmup before i play the game 😂
Hilarious, the medicine really cured him
Just not the way the eagle wanted
Well worth the $30 for sure.
"may your death benefit all beings"
is it out already?
After this DLC I hate Jin's father. And that's why I go through ghost path.
how poetic i chose the same phrases lol
i'm here to watch this cuz the game audio bug ruining this for me
