- Assembling the Astronomia Maestro Worldtime takes more than just these operations. Every block you see here has already required dozens of hours of machining, finishing and pre-assembling. When the movement is finally whole, Jacob & Co. starts to fine tune the carillon minute repeater, so it chimes just right.

I did a presentation on college about them and won. The others made some basic topics like engines, cars, etc. (Usual stuff for a mechanical class) but these watches are a beauty...

Самое сложное это спроектировать эти часы что бы они были комфортными, красивыми, и самое главное что бы все детали были подогнаны до микрона, ведь одна микро ошибка и время может отставать или чуть зажатые шестерни могут уменьшать время работы часов, это целая наука.
А вот собрать их когда все детали готовы уже не такая проблема.

That blue of the earth is gorgeous. I've always thought the blue in some of the other astronomia series look a little plasticky but this 1 is definitely gorgeous and looks more like an expensive finishing.
