    We got pregnant through 1st round of IUI at PNWF with Dr. Shahine’s help. We know iui success rate is not super high so we are really lucky. Thank you Dr. Shahine and your team, for being so knowledgeable, professional and kind. And making such informative videos when we struggle with infertility. Our baby boy was born 2 months ago and he is healthy and strong. Wish all family achieve their goal soon!

    My husband and I are currently in our first cycle of IUI. Our fertility Dr let us know we could do either IUI or IVF, we decided to do IUI just because it will help u meet our deductible and co insurance a lot sooner. So I hope that we are successful in our first round, especially since we’ve been trying for over a year and a half now. I feel like anything can help benefit us as we make our way through this process of having a family

    If otherwise healthy with no complaints, why do some clinics treat overweight people and some not? I'm aware of the challenges and risks but the differences are so wide from clinic to clinic and another comment, they are generally not refusing to treat people with other medical conditions.

    Amazing video Dr.Lora . Your explanation is so spot on ❤ . Really appreciate it . God bless ya and your family ❤. I have a uterine polyp about 1cm , no symptoms though, have been trying for 2 years , and my doc suggested IUI. All other tests are normal ( good egg reserve , fallopian tubes normal , sperm analysis normal etc )She said removing it surgically is the best but since wait times are longer for surgeries could go for IUI in the mean time . Could you please comment on polyps and their effect on conceiving . Thanks a ton in advance ❤

    Thank you for this. I am 41 and all is good and I want at least 2 kids. But, I am single and would love to have a family with a partner and one big con is I dont know the donor irl and idk how many other kids are in the world thanks to him. IVF is no option for me because of the cost and the more intensive procedure. I always wanted a family but Mr Right never came my way. I never delayed it in sake of career eg. The clinics I´ve been to said my chances of a sucessful pregnancy by IUI are reason they only treat me with extra hormones and monitoring and would rather not go for IUI. I am really torn. I want my babies and I know I dont have much time left anymore. My question is, do you have experience with a woman my age and a sponatnous IUI aka only my own cycle monitoring, having an ultra at day of ovulation a cycle before IUI and then repeat, so go for IUI the next cylce without extra hormones? I know the chance is only 0% if I don´t have an IUI or a partner.

  • @luxconcept

    Question - with ICSI, are we forcing the egg and sperm to "like eachother" and in a way, going against how nature would normally have it where the egg sort of "calls out" to the sperm it likes best. Pardon my non intellectual way of saying it but it makes me wonder if ICSI is somehow forcing these genetic materials together in a way that they otherwise would never come together and if so what are the repercussions for any subsequent children born from that pairing?

    Hello thank you for your video. What’s ur opinion on someone with past ectopic surgery no tube removal but the tube is blocked. Right tube clear . I’ve seen a fertility clinic have completed everything hsg- which showed blocked tube, sonogram test - showed eggs ovaries and everything looks good and healthy except blocked tube . No recommendation for surgery on it doc said leave it be but she recommended IVF. IVF is too costly. IUI is an option but doc says I have higher chance of another ectopic but still small chance of ectopic with IVF likely but I guess not as high. What’s my chances of trying on my own - exercise, better diet? Hubby did semen analysis his sperm has 2% morphology. Suggestions?

I stayed long relationship with my husband like almost 8 yr but I used to go vocation every year for 3 week. Since last year April I reunited with my husband here in my country. We tried making baby but it not success all the times. But in October last year I had miscarriage at 6weeks pregnant. 😢😢😢so yesterday I went to consult doctor and did all my necessary check up and doctor said my tubes is in ok but I have some limit eeg in ovaries and my husband sperm count and mobility is also limit. So doctor suggested me to going to start IUI process.so next week doctor said he will make file for that procedure. But I am worrying how it goes and I would like to go any procedure that have more chances of conceiving at one time and without failing. As I am already in 38 and my husband 41. Please kindly suggest me doctor. Do I need to take any medicine that helps to improve my egg and any medication for my husband sperm count.???

      Grading of embryos involves fragmentation and quality of the embryo. It’s a beauty contest and some ‘ugly’ embryos can still turn into beautiful babies. The number has to do with how hatched the embryo is out of the zone pellucida and the letters describe the quality of 2 parts of the blastocyst. First letter describes the cells of the inner cell mass (will become the baby) and the second letter describes the cells of the trophectoderm (will become the placenta)

    Hello, question for you, im 36, have had 3 miscarriages around the 5-6 week mark for all, one chemical pregnancy, and to end on a happy note gave birth to my daughter who came a month early in the middle of those miscarriages. Looking into fertility clinics now in my area. My question is I have a feeling it could be related to chromosomes, does IUI help at all with that? Or is IVF the better route?

      IUI does not screen for chromosome rearrangements like IVF can. IVF can decrease risk of miscarriage but not 💯- best wishes

    The IUI catheter was easy to use and comfortable, making the procedure less daunting. Thanks, Makeamom for providing such an amazing kit.

    With ivf can the couple choose to have more than 1 child?

    • @drlorashahine
      @drlorashahine  Год назад +1

      Yes. It’s best practices to transfer a single embryo and have one healthy baby at a time since multiple gestation is associated with a high-risk pregnancy. But very often people have embryos frozen from one egg retrieval that they can use in the future to try again.

    I'm 45 and my labs came back at 0.1 % , but my husband's sperm count was extremely high , can I still get pregnant with those numbers ?

      As long as you are ovulating and trying, there’s always a chance. Limiting factor can just be that there are fewer eggs that are able to do all they need to do at age 45 but I have seen it happen! Best wishes to you.
