    Great idea, I've always went braid mostly 40lb or 50lb with about 6-8" of 25lb mono, leader rarely did the front hook get tangled, but who am I to argue with one of the greats! Gonna give it a go! #jaretlintner #heddonspooks #peacockbass now maybe I don't have to tie a connection knot 👏👏 👏🎣

      I’ve always used a short 25 lb mono leader also…The stiffer mono leader also helps to keep your topwater lure from helicopter’ing in the air…

    I'll try this out today, I own a ton of bobber stops, and reuse them a lot for punching, and Texas rigged baits in florida.i use either a bigg needle to slide the stops on to, or save the old line w stopper tie a granny knot to the new line,and slide it on to the new line over the granny knot to reuse...

    Try sliding the last 4-6 inches of the line over candle wax, that gives buoyancy and straightness

    I use a small heat shrink tubing. I build custom rods and as of late I use this size 0 latex tubing I get from mudhole. It's cheap and floats pretty good.

      the stops will shed the weeds vs the snaps.. great in front of a senko or frog also
