Great idea, I've always went braid mostly 40lb or 50lb with about 6-8" of 25lb mono, leader rarely did the front hook get tangled, but who am I to argue with one of the greats! Gonna give it a go! #jaretlintner #heddonspooks #peacockbass now maybe I don't have to tie a connection knot 👏👏 👏🎣
I'll try this out today, I own a ton of bobber stops, and reuse them a lot for punching, and Texas rigged baits in florida.i use either a bigg needle to slide the stops on to, or save the old line w stopper tie a granny knot to the new line, and slide it on to the new line over the granny knot to reuse...
Also looks different then what other people are trowing. Genius idea 💡 🤓 Your son is smart for asking questions, but I do like that you are using different colors, looks like a dragonfly😁👍🎣
I use a small heat shrink tubing. I build custom rods and as of late I use this size 0 latex tubing I get from mudhole. It's cheap and floats pretty good.

I’ve always used a short 25 lb mono leader also…The stiffer mono leader also helps to keep your topwater lure from helicopter’ing in the air…

Try sliding the last 4-6 inches of the line over candle wax, that gives buoyancy and straightness

Just cut a 2 inch in length of a wd40 straw and slide that on, I use it on my umbrella rig to

Snaps also work!
the stops will shed the weeds vs the snaps.. great in front of a senko or frog also
